Hudgens offers a great variety of artist's works in many different formats. Those artists who contribute a great amount of work to the center even have their own sections dedicated to their works. Although I am not too big on "art galleries," I did find the Hudgens center to be somewhat interestingly captivating. Some of the paintings actually made me hallucinate just looking at them, because of the vivid trance causing design the artist created. I really liked the metal sculpture outside the building created by Rita Blitt named "The Passionate Gesture Retrospective Exhibition."

There are experiences that stay with you forever, and this was one of them…read more I booked a solo session at Paint with a Twist in Lawrenceville on what would have been my 36th wedding anniversary--the first anniversary I would spend alone after losing my husband just weeks earlier. I intentionally dressed up for the occasion because I wanted to honor both our marriage and this new chapter of my life. I expected an evening of painting and candle making. What I received was something far more meaningful. Although I happened to be the only guest who booked that session, my instructor, Sabrina, transformed what could have been one of the saddest days of my life into one of the most heartfelt and memorable experiences I've ever had. Knowing my circumstances, she went far beyond anything I could have imagined. She surprised me with a beautiful dozen roses, a signature Paint with a Twist wine glass, and a gift bag simply to make my day special. That level of genuine compassion cannot be taught--it comes from a truly kind heart. Because Paint with a Twist welcomes guests to bring their own beverages, I was able to bring my husband and my wedding flutes and quietly share a personal toast in his memory. It was a deeply healing moment that I'll cherish forever. The studio itself reflected the same warmth and creativity that Sabrina showed throughout the evening. It was clean, welcoming, well organized, and filled with inspiring artwork. Just outside the entrance was a charming café-style seating area that invited guests to relax, visit, and enjoy the creative atmosphere before or after class. As if the evening wasn't already perfect, it ended with an unexpected gift from the city itself. As I walked outside after the session, fireworks lit up the Lawrenceville sky. I watched them from the Paint with a Twist parking lot, and it felt like the perfect ending to a day filled with love, remembrance, healing, and hope. I left with much more than my very first candle and an original painting inspired by love and my new normal. I left feeling seen, valued, and reminded that even on life's hardest days, kindness has the power to bring joy back into someone's heart. Thank you, Sabrina, and everyone at Paint with a Twist, for creating an experience I will never forget. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to everyone--whether you're celebrating life's happiest moments or searching for light during its most difficult ones. You may arrive expecting to create art, but you might leave having experienced something even more beautiful. Edith Jones

I have to admit, it wasn't nearly as messy as I expected--they provided everything we needed and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. My granddaughter had a blast, and thanks to the wonderful employees, she gives this place 10 stars. And, said "We will definitely be back"!!! For me, it was the perfect stress-relief activity and such a great bonding experience. We went at noon, so it was peaceful and relaxed, which made it even better. The staff was incredibly attentive, giving clear instructions before and after our session. It was also nice to see that they offer event spaces for parties and gatherings. Highly recommend Color Sling for anyone looking for a unique, fun, and memorable experience

We had so much fun!!…read more My sisters and I wanted to do something to unwind and we definitely enjoyed ourselves here. Called in to make an appointment beforehand just to guarantee our spot. There are amazing group deals on their website as well as some more information about the business! Melissa, co-owner, was there the day we went in and she was so so welcoming. We were supplied ponchos and shoe coverings as well as lockers for our things and even hair nets and accessories. They thought of it all! Melissa explained everything to us and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to our creativity. I absolutely loved the fact that we were always checked on as well as our paint and cleaning waters. Melissa would make encouraging comments I needed because I for one am not creative. LOL I absolutely cannot wait to drop by again and bring others because I definitely feel it's a very special little place. The vibe just gives and I'm so grateful to know a place like this exists.

They gave a lot of time for the slower painters like me who are brand new to painting. It was an awesome group experience for my family and me. The only thing that I'm knocking one star off for is that I think it would have helped for them to tell people to bring their own glasses for wine when they emailed everyone saying to come early. And to wear old clothes that you won't get paint on. I think that those two sentences that can be emailed to everyone will go a long way. The painting I did was amazing too! It looks great and will be very sentimental to me in the future.

Even after we became loud, and drunk, they continued to keep us on track. We left with beautiful works of art, and lots of fuzzy memories. It's a painting class, so don't wear fancy clothes. Also, bring everything you need - plates, cups, silverware, napkins. If your drinks or food need to stay cold bring a cooler. They do not have a fridge. I do not consider myself to be a artist, even in the basic sense of the word. But, the paint strokes are explained, and they will help you if you need it.

If I could leave negative stars I would. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!…read moreI purchased a skirt from this place on a Saturday afternoon to wear the next day at church. When I put the skirt on the next morning the zipper slider fell off. I needed the skirt to work so I tried to zip the skirt which was working and then the zipper split open. The skirt was the right size but the zipper malfunctioned. Unfortunately I was unable to wear the skirt. I was able to carefully undo the busted zipper. The next Wednesday I took the skirt in with the zipper pieces, tag and my receipt. Initially the owner would not allow me to exchange the skirt because side she said I broke the zipper. I told her the product is defective and I just wanted to exchange the item. The lady finally calmed down and agreed I could exchange the item. This should have been a no brainer since I was within the seven day exchange window. As I'm looking for a replacement item, the lady decides to charge me $10 for the exchange. I told her I would NOT pay her anything to exchange her defective product. Thats price gauging!!! I left with the skirt and will have the zipper replaced at my local cleaners. Sad because I went there to support Black business and on the first day of Kwanzaa and all they care about is the money... CAPITALISTS!!!!! Dec 24th I went shopping to buy our family's 1st Kinara for our first Kwanzaa Celebration. We found one but I wanted my Sweetheart to see it first and he was at work. The owner told me they would be open until 10pm the next day and he would hold it. The next day I went there at 6pm with a sick child and the mall was closing and they were already closed. I called the number on the door and the owner apologized and said they messed up and didn't realize they were closing early and said they would come in on Christmas to sell it to me and call me since I was only 10 min away. NO CALL! Gave your word but Ok no problem it's Christmas. Today Dec 26th at 10am she calls me and says she has it and apologized for not calling Christmas Day. I said ok we want it please hold it and we will be there today before you close. She said okay she would put it away. We get there at 5pm and it's gone. Owner says well We called at 10 this morning and someone else wanted to buy it. WHAT!!! Just say you won't hold it. FOUL!!!! Don't give your word if you are really all about the money. And had the nerve to have a dismissive attitude. No KINara for our first day of our first family Kwanzaa. How we do our own. Sad part is we were going to get it from someplace else but I gave my word and they were holding it for us.... damn shame! No INTEGRITY
