Lots of selection like your typical Hobby Lobby, but where they need help is the checkouts/cashiers. It is a madhouse; you get in line behind someone, then a different register opens and someone who wasn't in line walks up before you, etc. Place was packed on a Saturday afternoon and while they had 6 registers open, it was still not enough/not efficient enough to keep up with demand. read more

I was in College Station Tx Hobby Lobby. I like the store and I have never been treated bad by the employees as of yet. I needed to use the restroom so I took off to the back of the store where it was located. First of all the restroom stalls looked awful. The toilets looks like they have never been cleaned. It looked like to me that there is black mold growing on the toilet it was so nasty looking . The rest room its self needs a compelete make over. I would have of walked out but I could not wait. I was afraid to touch anything. Please do something about your nasty restrooms. The mens restrooms are probably worse. read more

I've been wanting to write a review about Hobby Lobby for YEARS. Well, today I quit smoking, and I'd like to punch a random stranger in the junk. So instead, I'm going to tell y'all of my Hobby Lobby experience, why they can suck it, and why I will never go back. About six years ago, I was in a Kansas City Hobby Lobby, having frequented them for years. I'm a professional artist, and always in need of supplies. So it's online shopping at DickBlick, or physical shopping at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I'd known about Hobby Lobby's Christian ownership, why it's closed on Sundays, all that stuff...don't really care. I'm not a Christian, but c'est la vie, and live and let live and blahblahblah... So I'm in there in a camisole-style shirt and jeans, standing with a full cart looking at something, and the MANAGER walks up to me and says, "Your tattoo. You know that's an abomination in the eyes of the lord, don't you?" I said, "I'm sorry, WHAT?" And she repeated herself. And I said, "Wow. Really? Here's what I do know. I'm leaving this cart behind, taking my money with me, and never coming back. F**king creep." And then left and went home and wrote a scathing email to the president of the company, which was never answered. Maybe boycotting them for the last six years is a little drastic, but deep down, it makes me happy knowing that I'll never give those creepy buttheads another dime of my money. As other reviews state, the customer service is awful and there is NOTHING there that is not available somewhere else. I try to patronize businesses that state they are Christian based, but the treatment of your customers is what ACTUALLY determines your business model and attitude. I bought some liquid silicone (the only jar on the shelf) and it proved to be "old", as it was barely what I could call liquid. It was not quite a putty, but certainly not pourable and therefore, when poured, did not level out. I took it back and was met with resistance to return for either refund or replacement. They still did not have any more in the store, so that left request for refund only. Their contention was that they do not refund on an item that has been opened! REALLY??? How would I KNOW the silicone was bad if I had not opened it? After some "back and forth" and the customer service person calling some hidden manager, who made determinations without talking to the customer (ME), they DID refund the full amount back to my credit card, which was what I was asking for. BUT, they just HAD to reiterate (3rd, maybe 4th time) that they don't USUALLY refund on an open item. I guess they thought I should feel "lucky" that they determined favorably for me! I fell lucky that I NOW know what this business is all about and won't be returning! So what?? My business isn't going to break 'em, but if they keep treating ENOUGH customers like this, it WILL make a difference! You see, as you don't USUALLY refund on open items, I don't USUALLY patronize businesses that treat me like this...sooo.. By the way, unless you're selling video games or the like, you sound STUPID when you say you don't refund on open items... crafting items that can be defective! HOW would a customer know if it was defective unless they OPENED it first! Ghhrrrrr! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. They do not try to work with you in any way. I can show proof that I just bought something on-line with a virtual receipt, but unless I print it out, they won't accept it. I said I would take store credit, but it would be at 50% off, even though they can clearly see what I spent. Not the way to be customer service oriented at all. read more

The absolute worst- I waited forever in the returns line and then when I finally got to register (which the reason why it took so long because they were checking out regular purchases) they had go search for my items in the store to see if they could even return it. I stepped aside to let the person behind me go ahead so I wasn't holding up the line. Being a nice and courteous person not wanting people waiting on me. When they FINALLY came back saying my items were ok to return the cashier told me to get BACK in line. Which at this point was a mile long. NOT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! So now I have to go back for a second time because I was on my lunch hour. The correct thing to do would have been to help me quickly since I stepped aside choosing not to hold up the line... I guess next time I could be the jerk that makes everyone wait on me. SOOO very disappointed!! And this wasn't my first bad experience at this location This review is specific to the College Station store. I've never had an issue at any other location. I really love Hobby Lobby as a teacher this store is needed! I love the prices esp with the discounts! The employees have no knowledge of their products not the layout but they are friendly! I live the color set up with the home decor and the fabrics are amazing! They have great ideas and the store holds so much! read more

I love this place, I just wish the sewing dept was as big as those in the larger city (i.e. Houston) HL's. Some items are overpriced but still the selection in most other delta are great! Although the company of hobby lobby is great and the products they sale are good quality with huge selections, the manager of the college station store is absolutely horrible!! My last visit to this store resulted in the store manager accusing me of stealing (which I overly proved not to have done)(and police couldn't be called as no crime was committed) and the being physically handled by loss prevention and threatened to be beat if that employee saw me anywhere ever again!!! I encourage everyone to complain to corporate customer service and boycott this store until the manager has been removed!! We as Americans have a right to not be treated in this way and must use our freedom of choice to not support a company that allows staff to treat anyone this way read more

Let me start off by saying that I thoroughly enjoy roaming aimlessly through the aisles at Hobby Lobby. I love the selection. I love the 50% off signs everywhere. I love the random goodness, in general. Check-out takes forever, mostly cause they have very few lanes open. The employees there are only so-so usually. Not completely rude, but not overly nice, either. It's usually hit-or-miss with the knowledge they'll have on the randomness you're looking for...USUALLY. For this, I'd give this CS location 3.5-4 stars as a whole. Where did the 5 starts come from, you ask? Those are for April in the fabrics department. Very long story short, I'm Maid of Honor in a wedding that's in 2 weeks and I decided that we just HAVE TO have sashes for the bachelorette party (10 total).I looked online, but the selection is crappy and the prices are outrageous (don't even get me started on shipping costs). After trying etsy, another fabric shop in town, and several other combinations of everything, I was about to give up...until I met April. She's soft-spoken, but really knows her stuff. Super nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable in departments other than fabrics, too. Gave me a BRILLIANT idea that's going to save me well over $100 just in the sashes themselves. And it's not too hard for me to do myself! (I refuse to have hand-cut material letters that look like crap, as others had suggested before.) YAAY!! I have yet to actually complete them, but thanks to April, I have all my tools and will be able to get them done in no time. And, best part yet...they'll be personalized and super cute!! Great staff , everyone is helpful. he only thing i do not like about this place is its sooo expensive. everytime i go in there i am just shocked at how expensive everything is. Long story short i got some high end fine point markers like 2 for $8 or something, got home and they bleed so much ink they were useless. do not mind paying if the stuff works. read more

I have gone to this Hobby Lobby very often in search for one item. I approached an employee and asked if she could help me see if they had any or when they would get them back in stock. She didn't respond the first time i said excuse me and when i did get her attention she was SOOOOO rude. She made it seem like i was asking a huge task from her when all she did was told me "There's nothing in the back" and rolled her eyes, without even answering my other questions. This is the second HORRIBLE exchange i've had with an employee at this hobby lobby and i think it may have been the same person. I absolutely adore hobby libby but i will not be coming back to this one. Please keep in mind they they do not want to help you at this hobby lobby, so if you're looking for a good experience don't come here. I am never one to write a review, much less a negative one, but this put SUCH a bad taste in my mouth and ruined a good day. read more

I just had a humiliating experience with Hobby Lobby. I called Hobby Lobby with a question regarding an item. I asked them if they had a particular item and she gave me a blunt answer and hung up on me. I visit Hobby Lobby a 1-2 times a year, but when I do, I spend way too much time there. I typically leave with a novelty pen I haven't seen anywhere else, and a few assorted knick-knacks.
