Five Below was one of my discoveries this year that made me really happy! Never had I seen so many items under $5 and it's such a smart stop for trying a new activity (sports, work outs, yoga, painting, models) before you know if you will actually like it or not.
We visited this location in early July because we were on a road trip and had left a couple of things at home. I was looking for a physical therapy ball I had gotten at my local location.
My impression of this location was they did not have as good of a selection as I've seen at other locations. This is probably due to them having less square footage and they were also new at the time I visited, having only been open a month or two. My local family had never even heard of them.
My first and only interaction with employees was at check out. This is fairly normal for the chain.
As a store, it's a great concept for you to get those items you don't want to invest in or those hobbies you aren't sure will stick. It's an especially great option for a forgotten phone charger, cheap party supplies, organizing the dorm, getting a book, beach umbrella or t-shirt for... yep, $5 or less!
I hope the next time I am in the area I find they have worked out their kinks and are keeping their store stocked on a regular basis. If they do, then I think they will do very well as this is an area with a need for this type of chain! read more
