My wife and I used Terra Rosa to make our dream wedding a reality at Quinta Rosa Estate in Ithaca…read moreand we could not be happier with our choice and the outcome of our wedding. While my wife and I had the dream and most of the ideas, Tara was instrumental in turning them into a reality as well as adding to our dreams and having things come together seamlessly. We had a very specific flow in our minds, but we weren't exactly sure how to orchestrate it all with such a large wedding and so many moving parts, but Tara made it happen with her expertise. Tara helped us achieve our dreams and not break the bank! Cannot recommend Terra Rosa highly enough and also Quinta Rosa for an amazing Ithaca Venue! We hired Tara 2 years ago when my daughter got engaged. My daughter was very specific about the…read morekind of wedding she wanted. She wanted a wedding with multiple day events (wine tour, welcome party, ceremony on the Cornell campus, two cocktail parties, reception and a brunch). We were also challenged with having 160+ guests from out of town. My daughter didn't want a traditional wedding banquet hall look, she wanted to have farm tables with lush greeneries and flowers, and lounge sofas for people to relax. It was hard to find a place around Ithaca to accommodate so many guests. Tara spent days with us in finding a perfect venue for the wedding. On the day of, we had photographers videographers, multiple banquet coordinators, bus drivers. Tara was amazing in coordinating everything and getting everyone to work together. She had 7 pages of the event schedule. She worked tirelessly to refine it with us, down to when food would be delivered for the bridal party to eat before the ceremony. At the end of the reception, when she saw I was going back to the hotel by myself, she personally drove me back. She then delivered flowers for the next morning's brunch to our B&B at 2am. On top of that, she showed up at the brunch to make sure everything was ok and helped us pack up everything. We had few crisis (or we thought) during the wedding, Tara was able to take care of them for us and more importantly calmed us down. All of our guests told us how much fun they had at the wedding and how beautiful the venue was. I think a lot of it was due to Tara's careful planning and diligence. I would highly recommend Tara as a planner for any special event.

CDI - Car delivered and in brand new condition

Always great service. My A/C was broken and now it's ice cold…read more They did my timing chain and front suspension at very good prices. My e30 is so happy now!

Only you can see immediately that the belt is fine. You start the car again: no gears to shift into; we lost the clutch, you are thinking. Then the superb tow-truck driver at Farmington Towing (shout-out! sorry I forgot your name; see: "mid-60's), suggests I call CDI in Victor while he's up-loading the van & Mike, co-owner, answers the phone & says, "I don't even have anywhere to *put* your car & we're booking out three weeks from now & one of our mechanics is on vacation, but, sure, bring it by." Apologies for suspending the punchline for so long, but, after renting a car (shout out to the local Enterprise & Caleb) & thinking we'd be spending the next week exploring the Fingerlakes for the next week (we're fine with that: see "mid-60's), & spending the night in a sweet & vacant yurt (shout-out Plum Point Lodge), Mike at CDI has, overnight!, determined that the clutch cable & assembly are actually fine & that what need repairing are the CV joint & boot (so doable, especially when, as owner, you have a thing for old vw vans & have spare parts in abundance!). Mike has our van back on the road in 24 hours (backup on the lot be damned; he's committed to "getting us back on the road" to complete our cross-country road-trip)! Robert (shout-out: a mechanic who works with Mike) identifies an axel issue (that would have been big trouble further down the road) as well, so they fix that, too. All this to say that CDI Auto Repair in Victor, NY, is one of those magical, necessary stops along the road you didn't even know you needed to encounter. Now writing from Maine just a couple of days later: my grandfather was a great & honest auto mechanic; I know them when I happen upon them. (Shout-out also to Garrett at C & G Auto Repair in Hanksville, UT for his own skillful & timely work to keep us going). Yes, we highly recommend CDI-- among the best auto-repair experiences we've ever had. Skillful, humane, most excellent!

It's a shame that I have to agree with most of the current reviews as far as customer service. Not…read moresure if it only applies to this location, but the snot-noses they employ have zero sense of positive attitude. They do however keep things very neat and organized, so I would be a hypocrite if I didn't give them credit for that. The rudeness doesn't apply to all of them. A few reps have been really nice and attentive. If you are ever in the market to consign your threads, keep in mind that Plato's closet is all about the teen mall brands -- but not all. A general list of acceptable brands are A&F, VS PINK, AE, Hollister, Forever21 collections, Charlotte Russe, 'some' Express and 'some' H&M brands. Target brands for juniors are also accepted. Be warned that they may not want your J. Crew, Eddie Bauer and GAP unless it's targeted to teen fashions. And I also have to say that they will not want your Ecko Red or Sean Jean, even if they are new with tags. It's not their demographic and we shouldn't get mad at them for having one. I am not sure what they look for in shoes, but I've seen some in really gross condition on sale here. Not even name brand ones! So I think it also depends on the season and what they are in need of. They may not always want your boot cut jeans if their rack is over stuffed. So do not get discouraged, just go to the next shop! If they rather give you $5 for your Forever21 top but skip on that silk blouse? Consider it a score. You can sell it on your own or take it to another consignment shop that will sell it FOR YOU!
