I love the idea of community gardens but couldn't it have been designed as a green house and is it possible to be updated? The area most definitely attracts natural bugs, birds, and probably too much sun which ends up ruining the crops, right? If it was indoors, instead, it could be cool and more monitored and automatic sprinklers could be added and the community can just pay a small fee for the upgrade. The roof of the green house could be solar powered and could be used to keep the place lit if needed at night or early morning or in the day; and it the can have power for the eco now building too. I was just thinking, because if the company is trying to be full on waste free then that could be a cool upgrade to the place. There can be monitors and cameras to the place if intruders try to break in or mess things up. Overall, Eco Now is super cool and doing good.

The play areas for families and other small businesses soon to open will make this a repeat destination for the eco-conscious and sustainability-curious. Find ample parking on 8th St although there is also a smaller dedicated lot on 9th St. I can't wait to visit the bulk food grocery that will be replacing the Urban Outfitters in Costa Mesa's Anti-Mall. I can't recommend this business enough, cheers and thanks for hosting such a fun sale.

As a family with four kids and two dogs, we needed a team who understood real-life chaos--and they absolutely did. From the very beginning, they were patient, organized, and genuinely committed to creating a space that would work for our busy household. While we were moved out during the remodel, Sergio kept us updated every step of the way. We always knew what was happening, what was coming next, and if anything required a decision. That communication alone made the whole experience so much less stressful. They also worked around our constantly changing schedules without ever making it feel like an inconvenience. The craftsmanship is excellent we loved working with Israel for his beautiful cabinetry, ideas, and details. The clean tile work is beautiful! Our finished kitchen is everything we hoped for. It's bright, functional, and truly fits the way our family lives. We could not be happier. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers high-quality work and makes the process smooth for a busy family, I can't recommend them enough. Sergio and his team are truly amazing.

Of all the many reviews I have written, this company would be at the very "top of all my ratings"!!…read more Sergio and OSH Construction is by far, my most pleased of services, particularly when it comes to home remodels! I discovered Sergio after I saw his incredible work/remodeling to the house next door to me. We arranged our first meeting whereby he bought his laptop, and provided numerous options and designs for my bathroom remodel. Fortunately, Sergio has great ideas and suggestions, making the process of decision making, ie. what materials to use, design options, etc. The process started right on cue, and the ETA for completion of 4-5 weeks was righty on the money! The guys that work for OSH are ALL exemplary, professional, prompt, and courteous! From the demolition guys, the carpenters, the electrician, the painter, the glass guys, I could not have asked for better! The thing that stands out for me, is the fact that these guys were consistently prompt, and did not skip a beat. Unlike most contractors, whereby days are missed, job gets delayed due to spreading themselves too thin with other jobs. None of that with Sergio, he was spot-on prompt with moving this job along as scheduled. My bathroom remodel also included a steam-shower installation, which took on extra diligence, but well worth it! This remodel has improved my home, as if it were a complete add-on to my house, considering I rarely used this guest bathroom (even though it is adjacent to my office). To all the Yelp audience reading this, trust me, you could not get a greater, more skilled and considerate Contractor than Sergio and OSH! I cannot recommend him enough, and I guarantee you will appreciate this review once you hire him. *** Take the time to review all of my photos that show the step-by-step process for this job! Also note that I used "single slab" porcelain, for my shower, versus individual tiling. This process was a much more challenging and labor intensive install, but well worth it, and Sergio's team pulled it off perfectly!!

We hired Alan (also known as Alec, he will go by a different name with different people depending…read moreon what negative comments he has online about him at the moment) for a major project over the past year and paid him more than $450,000 in total. He completed his final project with us yesterday. Per our contract I was supposed to withhold 6k until the project was fully completed and we did a walk through. Against my better judgement I agreed to pay him $4300 of that payment early because he was low on funds. I felt bad for him what can I say. So at that point I still owed him a remaining balance of $1,700 that I fully intended to pay him once he finished the final touches on some trim and other misc. things. After about 4 weeks of no progress on those misc. items, I had to start bugging him every day for updates on when things would be completed. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, he finally completed the last item. As soon as the work was complete Alan/Alec called me 4 times in a row. I was busy at work so didn't have time to answer. I got off work that evening around 7pm and we had some friends over for a baseball game, so I didn't have time to call Alan/Alec back yet. That same evening, Alan showed up at our home unannounced around 8 p.m., demanding payment. He arrived with an angry and confrontational attitude, and when I answered the door, the situation quickly escalated. I was rightfully frustrated that he showed up requesting to get paid in cash right in that moment, I tried to close the door, Alan shoved it back open and attempted to force his way inside. I pushed him back. The confrontation that followed was witnessed by multiple people and captured on our Ring camera (posting the video here so people can see what Alan/Alec looks like in case he changes his name again in the future. He also brought his son with him, which suggests the visit was planned and deliberate (what a sad decision on his part as a father) Throughout the course of our projects, Alan proved to be unreliable and difficult to work with. He frequently made decisions without our approval, even after we clearly asked him to confirm with us before proceeding. He ignored instructions, made careless mistakes, and overlooked details that any attentive professional should have caught. Despite these issues, we continued to pay him on time and treat him respectfully. At one point, due to a mistake made by his own office transferring funds into the wrong account, we had to double pay him ahead of schedule to keep the project moving. A $60,000 payment temporarily became $120,000 because he said he couldn't wait for the transfer to resolve. We also lived next door to the project site, and it quickly became clear that without our daily oversight, the home would have been a complete mess. His team often lacked direction and made careless errors when left unsupervised. Alan can be very friendly when trying to earn your business, but that professionalism disappears once the contract is signed. His behavior at the end of this project was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and unacceptable. We've always paid him promptly and treated him with respect, so this incident was shocking and deeply disappointing. We strongly caution anyone considering working with him to proceed carefully, get everything in writing, don't deviate at all from the contract even if he tries to make you feel bad for him or play on your empath.

As with any big job, there were a few corrections at the end (not many!). What is important and appreciated is that they addressed these immediately and without question. In addition to the high quality work, Alec also made some excellent design recommendations for tile and flooring materials and colors. We ended up going with his choices and the results look outstanding. We couldn't be more pleased. Throughout the process, Alec was always responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly and honestly. He made what could have been a difficult process very easy. In short, I'd highly recommend Alec and American Renavatu to any homeowner in need of a reliable general contractor.

From the start, Hanna really stood out. He's not just a contractor--he genuinely knows what he's doing. He walked me through everything, explained the process, and caught multiple issues from the previous work that I didn't even realize were problems. Instead of cutting corners, he fixed everything the right way. They handled new framing, opening up walls, plumbing corrections, and a full rebuild of the space. The craftsmanship really shows, especially in the details. The shower tile work is flawless, and the shampoo niche came out super clean and well-designed. The new tile flooring ties everything together perfectly, and the paint finish gives the whole bathroom a fresh, modern coastal feel. Wes was also great to work with--professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in his work. You can tell these guys care about doing things properly, not just getting the job done. What I appreciated most was the honesty and attention to detail. Hanna is just a great guy overall--easy to talk to, reliable, and someone you can trust to make the right decisions on your project.
