I would like to begin my review by sharing that this is the second time we have hired Abe Kurek as…read moreour home inspector. I left a glowing review during 2023. You can look it up under my name, Mary Savva. Although we decided against buying the home in 2023, we decided we would absolutely and unwaveringly use Abe as our inspector the next time. Fast forward 3 years later, we recently used Abe in June 2026. We had the pleasure of meeting his son Nick during our 2nd inspection. I really can't say enough about Abe. I find it difficult to top my 2023 review because it was so good. During our second experience with Abe, we had a different realtor. All I have to say is Abe is on your side. The jingle, "Nationwide is on your side" should be Abe's theme song except it would be, "Abe is on your side." I hate to sound cheesy, but when you are a first-time homebuyer, it's hard to relax and trust the process. Abe makes it easier to do that simply because he is loyal to you and only you. It's a huge relief to have someone with so much experience under their belt in your corner. It's also a relief to know you can have the same confidence in his son Nick. When you hire Abe, the relationship doesn't end with the home inspection. He fully prepares you to become a homeowner. He provides lists of referrals and lots of other useful information on his website such as what to look for during the final walk through. He assures you that you can reach out to him at any time- pre and post purchase. You feel like you are more than just a customer, you are now part of a family. Of course, the candy filled goody bag made especially for you helps a lot too during the inspection! Abe and Nick check every nook and cranny (crawlspaces, roofs, attics) They arrived on time and spent over 3 hours combing through the property. Abe uses his drone to check the roof. He even has a "back-up drone" just in case his high-tech drone fails for whatever reason. He is fully prepared for your inspection. He is able to explain complex issues clearly in layman's terms, or in our case, "first time home buyers" terms. He patiently answered our questions. His home inspection report is concise and easy to understand. This cannot be overstated. It includes a "Table of Contents" which makes everything easy to find. The report does not lack detail. It is well organized with very clear pictures. This helped us to negotiate repairs and buy in confidence. One of my best friends is currently house hunting. Her husband is a surgeon. She is worried that he might not be able to attend the home inspection. I immediately referred her to Abe and assured her that she would be in good hands. I explained she would have nothing to worry about if her husband could not attend. I highly recommend Abe & Nick Kurek to anyone buying a home in the area. They are professional, responsive and worth every penny! 5/5 stars.

This and a willingness to work, when teen age Uber drivers will leave standing, outside freezing, bless those who get, good service, is what make a company successful. This company did the inspection for our home. While the inspector was a good guy, I have to say…read morethat, in hindsight, the final report was not all it could have been. It definitely lacked a lot of details about a variety of issues we subsequently found/stumbled onto. For example, there was no mention of a leak in the basement, a melted wire in our circuit breaker, poor attic ventilation, and improperly placed heating vent, and a problematic air conditioner. All of these issues came up weeks after we moved in, so we can't help feel a bit let down by the inspection company. Surely, as seasoned professionals, they should have figured these things out before we did! Why else are we paying hundreds of bucks to have them inspect the place? To be fair, the inspector did a good job of highlighting the basics and he also sent over some useful tips for maintaining the house. However, if we would have received a few more details on the problems here, we probably could have negotiated a bit harder with the seller. Buyer beware, for both your home purchase and the people who inspect it.

So we, of course, had zero idea of what to expect during the walk-through inspection (that was scheduled last minute.) Not only was Vinny incredibly accommodating, but he was also very communicative. He arrived early for the inspection, and as soon as I met him, I immediately felt comfortable with his calm and personable/welcoming demeanor. He was incredibly thorough throughout the whole process. Checked things I would never have thought to check and encouraged us to ask all and every question that came to mind. As soon as he'd see something that immediately concerned him or something that could potentially become a problem years from now, he'd voice his thoughts to us. Considering this is a new construction, we were a bit surprised with the amount of things that needed fixing--nothing serious, primarily cosmetic. The following day we received his report exactly when he said he'd send it. It was very detailed and also included photos of his findings. The report is straightforward and easy to comprehend, even for those of us with zero experience. And of course, this all transpired while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. Overall, we are very impressed with Vinny's professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. I cannot recommend him and his services enough. Thank you, Vinny!

Mike truly is the Vanguard of the profession. His attention to detail, thoroughness, timeliness,…read moreprofessionalism, and ability to explain WHY is invaluable. His services are exemplary. Not only do you get a home inspection and a timely report, you get a home guide that will detail ever facet of the prospective home, what to do and what NOT to do. If you take the time to read the wealth of knowledge Mike is providing to you, you will be in great shape. In addition, Mike is in your corner--that said, he gives you all the information you need to make an educated and informed decision and tools to various resources to find out even more information, should you take it upon yourself to do so. I love to research and I usually have a ton of questions which typically lead to more questions---so this aspect of the inspection service was amazing. Okay, so back to our experience during the inspection: Mike walked us through every room of the house that had nice new modern shiny fixtures and finishes. He wasn't distracted by that at all. He found the homes secrets which were BIG ticket items (I MEAN BIG). I mean, the defects were so bad he would keep checking in on us to see if we were okay. His check-ins made such a disappointing process much more palatable. Side note: when you hear such horrible news during an inspection for a home you love, Mike will (respectfully) tell you the truth, NOT what you want to hear. Home buying is an emotional process. When you step away and look at the objective evidence presented to you, you'll feel appreciative and grateful you had someone in your corner telling you the truth and not feeding into what you want to hear to move things along. This helped us make a reasonable counter to account for structural damages and eventually helped us easily walk away from a shiny apple with a rotten core. Okay, back to the inspection.... Mike also let us get involved in the process. For example, he pointed out issues in the attic and carefully guided us up so we could see exactly what he was talking about so it would be easier to explain to the sellers in the negotiation process. I personally got down on the bathroom floor to look at the level of pooling in the shower and saw how dangerously close the water was to overflowing into the rest of the bathroom space. These are little details that really made the experience worth it. The most valuable portion of Mike's service is his knowledge. He truly is a master of his craft. IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ HIS MATERIALS, EVERYTHING--YES, EVERYTHING, you will understand exactly what I am talking about! Mike breaks down exactly what is a structural defect, what should be done for proper maintenance, and what things would be nice to do to increase the longevity and use of the home. Having that tiered approach helped us tremendously with negotiations. We were able to obtain rough estimates of the minimum cost to correct the structural defects and went in with a strong argument coupled with a strong supporting report, in addition to estimates, and Mike's impressive CV. Due to the extent of work that had to be done, a meeting of the minds did not happen on this particular property. HOWEVER, we are so appreciative of Mike's thorough examination of the property. My parents who have been Brokers for over 40 years were extremely impressed, family contractors used Mike's report to study and analyze line item by line item in preparation of negotiations, our Realtor and Attorney both loved his report as well! Bottom line--we will be using Mike again! If I could give him 100 Stars I would. Do not hesitate to call and book Accurate Inspections, Inc. You will be glad that you did.

Accurate Inspections and Michael have a reputation of a very thorough inspector, which sometimes…read morecauses controversy, so I hope I can clarify the situation a little. Michael provides a super thorough inspection and pays attention even to the smallest details. He points out loose stones in the stairs, narrow parking spots that claim to fit more cars than it is realistically possible, stair handles placed uncomfortably, among other things. He also points out important things that are done not up to code and can cause serious issues down the line. It is a responsibility of a buyer to evaluate the findings and apply them, whether in negotiations with the seller, or just for your own reference later to understand what requires fixing and how urgent it is. And knowing that in advance, I think I received a superior service, because thanks to Michael, not only I received a concession from a buyer to fix an improperly installed, though working, garage door, but also avoided troubles with insurance company later by requesting asbestos removal and obtaining corresponding certificate. Michael's commission may be a bit higher than the market, but it's well worth it.
