Fast and good work! They did a door repair for me. It was rubbing roughly on the bottom portion of the frame (instead of the top like I've seen mentioned many times on online tutorials). It was harder to open and close than a month ago. The original screws were too short. Would request HMS again for future problems. read more

Our job was for a vaulted ceiling fan installation and to repair cracked and molding caulk around the tubs. I removed the existing caulk from the bathrooms myself to save money but I still felt the price was extremely high for a fan install and a finger swipe over silicone (that's all they did). They didn't remove the kitchen silicone (which we agreed on) and didn't clean it before putting a thin layer on top. After it cracked overnight I had him come back out to redo the entire thing. So, if you care about finesse and visual consistency, look elsewhere. read more

Art did a great job painting the exterior of our home. His price was reasonable. It's been over a year and everything still looks great. He recommended we use Sherwin Williams paint and was also able to get a discount on the paint which saved us a lot of money. He also replaced all rotted trim around chimney and windows. read more

I can't recommend this service. The pros: He's communicative and responsive. Seems like a decent guy. The cons: I just don't get the sense that he really has much attention to detail or is a real professional. I had Art come out to hang some house numbers. He did everything by eye and did not use a level. It's only that when I started to pull out my level that he started to use it. He become increasingly frustrated as I pointed out how the numbers were not level (again, based on the level tool..). As a result, he just began making larger and larger holes to accommodate for the misalignment. Now I'm left with huge holes in my brick wall siding. If you are someone who believes in taking a measured approach, look elsewhere. Again, I feel bad writing this review because I do feel he is a decent guy. However, the quality of the work was just not there. read more

Came out and did some exterior trim repair for me. Decent work and good price. Quoted me to paint the whole house and then ghosted me.. been trying to contact for months now read more

I was told the total cost would be $175 parts and labor and was charged $200. There's nail holes in that side board was replaced. Another thing is it doesn't sit flush it sits higher than the other side. if you couldn't have done the job right why even do it at all? I'm not happy with the serviced I received. Now we gotta have somebody else come out here and do it right. I would not recommend this company because it will end up costing you double to be fixed and additional charges as you can see from the picture when he removed the texture on the wall the top and bottom were not flush and the cocking on the paint leaves the job unprofessional and now the wall needs to be painted in addition. read more

Art was terrific. He was able to come by the same day I called and fix a storm door that no one else was able to repair. He did so with great efficiency, and inexpensively. I will be using Art again and again. read more

Great job by Art in repairing our cabinet. He was very quick in responding, showed up on time, and did a great job at a fair price !

I can't recommend this service. While he responded quickly and came out within 48 hours to scope the project he was inconsistent on follow-up. I had to ask twice if he wanted the job. After 24 hours and asking twice he decided to tell meat that point that he was done a guy and was unable to work on my projects. This would be fine, with the exception that I had to ask twice. He clearly knew he was down a guy when he looked at my project. Rather than telling me that day he waited me out - wasting a few days and an opportunity for me to scope the project with someone else. I am very disappointed in his response and I would be wary of this individual in an industry where responsiveness is important. read more

I recommend Art for your handyman needs. Art installed a new microwave above our cooktop after our old one died. I appreciate his communication, reasonable pricing, and attention to detail. He was able to arrive before our agreed-upon time based on a change in my schedule and was very friendly and professional. He even took a look at another issue in my home. I plan to use HMS Handyman Services again in the future. read more

No wonder Art has so many good reviews. Price is reasonable, he got to our home 15 minutes earlier than he told us, finished the job efficiently, and gave me the earliest appointment anyone offered. But with these positive reviews not sure how long that will continue as he gets more and more booked up. He is now my "for everything" handyman. Thanks Art! read more

Very unprofessional behavior. Almost got into an unreasonable argument with loud voice with me. Also not very skilled in doing basic work. read more

They did an awesome job mounting my 70 inch TV! The TV is heavy and the mount was high up on the wall. The mount is sturdy, I can maneuver it and tilt it up and down no problem. They finished the service in 30 mins! Quick and professional, they even took out the TV box trash. Very happy with my now mounted TV :D I additional asked for him to check my dishwasher and he was able to fix that as well! It was a quick fix, but he helped nonetheless. Really nice and friendly. Would recommend and will use again! read more

You get what you pay for. He had the lowest rate so I went with him for what I thought was a simple task. He only had to spend 5 mins changing out my hvac filter in my attic. I hired him to save myself the inconvenience of going in the attic however it turns out he left the old dirty air filter in the attic rather than bringing it down for me to dispose of or for him to dispose of himself. Today I had to climb in my attic to retrieve the nasty air filter he left up there. Disappointing and unprofessional. Would not recommend. read more

Art came out over the new year weekend and fixed my leaky faucet without hesitation. He was quick and reasonable

Great work, especially with a complicated furniture assembly project. Many thanks and would definitely reach out to Art for help again!

I was looking for someone to come out and fix the leaky faucet in my backyard. I knew it was a probably a simple repair but wanted someone else to look at it. I talked to a few plumbers and handymen and ultimately decided to go with Art. He responded pretty quick, had a great price comparatively and came out same day. I actually found Art or HMS handyman on google instead of Yelp. Art came over and in no time had my faucet fixed. He was super nice and professional. I will definitely be using him again. He does all types of handyman help and repairs too! read more

I asked for quotes through Yelp on a Sunday. Art gave me a quote on the initial work and said he could come out the following Tuesday. I was interested in adding a few more odds and ends on and he agreed to check them out when he arrived. Art should up on time, wearing a mask (during COVID), practiced social distancing, checked out all the add-ons and gave me a REALLY reasonable price. He was courtesy and professional and he did great work. I will definitely call Art again and would recommend him to friends. read more

I highly recommend HMS Handyman Services. Art was on time and notified me 30 mins prior to his arrival. Art removed the old outside wall lanterns and installed the new ones beautifully. Art was the first and only handyman I contacted for my problem that responded immediately with a clear quote. He answered all of my questions promptly and to my full satisfaction, despite the fact that we communicated almost entirely through Yelp Messenger (I am partially deaf and greatly dislike phone calls). We agreed on a price to re-caulk two showers, set a date and time. He arrived promptly, wore clean shoes, went right to work. He went out of his way to give the mold staining an extra scrubbing with cleaner before sealing it, something that he didn't have to do. Both I and my husband are fully satisfied with Art's efficiency and effectiveness in services rendered and will be hiring him again in future. read more

Art had great communication and showed up on time. He followed up the next day to make sure everything worked right. Would recommend.

Art and HMS Handyman Services have been a lifesaver. I am so lucky to have found them. They helped me get my home ready to be put on the market by doing tasks such as: Outside painting* Pressure washing Electrical repair Refinishing cabinets Fixing broken shelving Minor touch ups Reinstalling a sliding glass door Other misc. fixes throughout the house. The work was astounding. And, they even cleaned up after themselves when they were done! I appreciated that. Painting: I wanted the entire outside of the house painted. When Art asked what colors, I told him, "I suck at picking paint colors. Thought stresses me out. Can you just pick them? Trust me, I won't care as long as it looks good." Well let me tell you, I never (ever!) would have chosen the paint colors he did but the house looked like a completely different house. Even the neighbors were "oohing" and "aahhing". My friends and family have all commented on how stunning the house looks. Another thing I liked about Art is that if there was something he couldn't repair because it was outside of his expertise, he was upfront and honest about it instead of trying then creating bigger problems. Ie: Reinstalling doubled pained fogged windows. Working with Art and his team was truly a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend!!! read more

Art did the first five things on a list of about 15 yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. Art was personable, on time and did a fantastic job in the removal and installation of a replacement rear entry door. Art did an amazing job fixing my door frame and scratched front door! He was communicative, quick and provided quality service.

Great work!! I needed a tub/shower pan installed and to say the least it was extremely tight ( the measurements that came with the product was not correct). Some how Art got it to work. I would use his services again. Thanks for your service :). read more

Art was professional through the entire experience. He did an excellent job on the install of the back door and frame. He had to remove the old door frame first, then cut at the top to allow the new frame to fit, and caulk all the right areas. He was able to save the old trim on the inside of the house, but since the new door we bought was a couple of inches taller than the old one, it left a gap at the bottom. Art offered to run to Home Depot to pick up new trim that would be longer and fit properly. It did and the door looks great! It also works great - opens and closes fine, and even the locks work perfectly now! He also took all the debris and old frame away with him and swept the area clean so I didn't have to worry about any of that! I highly recommend Art and would hire him again. In fact, I have another project that I've already asked for a quote on. read more
