The estimate for the kitchen work, some misc repairs, replacing windows etc was 99,900 or so. They wanted 50% up front. What was missing? Quality of cabinets, quality of windows, quality of countertops, etc. In terms, of materials, I had no idea what I would be signing onto. I quickly passed. I am picking the project up again on the kitchen and a shower update. The kind of estimates that I am considering are: ballpark figure. 5% upfront charge, design process to narrow down exact costs. More detailed contract arrangement. I would avoid and certainly do not put 50% down on a kitchen project without a design and specifications.

Everyone seemed to go out of their way to make everything work smoothly. I love my bathroom with pull-out faucets, outlets in cabinets, drawers built around the drains. I have so much room, I still have empty drawers. In one of the pictures, you can see the tile baseboards. The rest of the hose was also painted, but what a wonderful job they did. My kitchen cabinets look brand new. Everything was painted from the ceiling to the crown molding and the walls and baseboards. All beautifully finished. There is not one thing I am not happy with. The Bath was completely gutted to the studs and reconstructed, the Kitchen was a complete renovation, but we maintained the basic layout. We replaced countertops, backsplash, all appliances; added a wine refrigerator, a professional type range and a warming draw at the bottom of the oven/microwave wall unit. We had to reconfigure a number of the cabinets to accommodate the additional appliances. We also replaced all cabinet doors and draw fronts, in addition to refinishing the base cabinets and reconfiguring some cabinets into drawers. In addition to being extremely professional in the quality of the construction, Scott was also very helpful in guiding us through the selection of materials. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and he help suggest certain materials and finishes that would achieve my goals. Everything he suggested was spot on. I couldn't be happier. I was also extremely pleased with the quality of subcontractors he utilized. They were all extremely professional and the quality of their work was outstanding. I intend to call Scott soon to renovate our Master Bath.

The stain was uneven there was belt sander gouges in the floor... the sanding over all was really bad... I paid $1400 for about 700 sqft and it was a waste of money... I will eventually have to have it redone... (if they didn't sand it to the point where it can be redone) I would absolutely NOT recommend using them for flooring EVER!!!

Met with Nate in about a built in desk and a built in entertainment center in December and he told me he was booked 2-3weeks out. I said, sure no problem, we can handle it in January. Come mid January, he tells me he needs more time. I say sure. Come February I reach out and no answer. Called, emailed and texted, still no answer (mind you I had already given 50% down to him). Finally after not hearing from him for almost 3 weeks he responded and saying he was just getting started on building the cabinets. It's now mid-March and he finally got to installing the units. But don't expect him to arrive at the time he says. He was consistently 2-3 hours late to the time he promised to be here (which required us to adjust work schedules). First day he arrived at 2:30pm after saying he would be here at noon and then had to come back on a Sunday because he couldn't finish it all in one day. Now that's just the communications part, as for the quality of the work. I have been very disappointed. I had asked for a 1.5" wood top on my desk. After install I've noticed it's a single 3/4" plywood top with an additional 3/4" plywood strip on the front to make it look like it's 1.5". Not only that but because it's plywood there are obvious seams on the desktop. And the front is covered with a veneer which bubbled in multiple places and even though he came to glue it back down still does not look great. There are seams in multiple places where he could have easily gone with a full piece of dimensional lumber instead. There are screws protruding on the side of the cabinets which are the only sides that face out so would have expected the screws to be hidden. He left part of one of the tops uneven, even though I brought to his attention before the painters came, so he had to come back out and fix it and the painters had to come back out and fix the paint again. Also when he put in the shelves after the paint (because he didn't have the shelf pins and had to order from amazon), he scratched up the paint pretty badly in pretty obvious places. I've worked in construction as my dad was a contractor and I fully understand things happen or sometimes things don't work out as planned but for the price I paid I would have expected much higher quality and less chasing to get this completed.

I had some carpentry and tile work that was needed in my kitchen. He had to work with existing tile, matching, fitting. No one else wanted to touch it but Alan did an amazing job, you cannot tell where the new and old start or stop. After that experience, I asked him and his crew to do my master bathroom shower. I noticed a line of mold around the base, the shower pan was leaking and causing damage to the floor. Everything had to be torn out from ground up. I won't go into detail about the smelly mess, but so many things were wrong from the original installation. I now have a beautifully updated shower that was installed correctly. We had Sal and his team repair a closet that was water damaged due to a leak in our water heaters…read more They removed the water heaters, replaced the damaged sheetrock and subfloor and reinstalled the water heaters. Sal communicated consistently and clearly. His team showed when he said they would. When we had a slight leak due to a loose connection in the water heater after re-install he had someone come back that same day to tighten everything up and make sure we were happy. The payment methods were also all made online as it should be in 2021. We're close to putting people on Mars, but many companies in the US still rely on bank paper checks, lol. We had a professional measuring our old door beforehand to make sure all was right. Then we choose the door from their vast selection and once we agreed on the door details, we got a good quote and ordered it with a promise to be delivered in 12 weeks. It took only 9 1/2 weeks (Epic movie, by the way) so we cannot complain. The crew that installed our door did it in 2 hours and did a perfect job. They even installed my Smart Lock, which I assumed I would have to do it myself as it's more complex than a regular Dumb lock, so that saved me time.
