I contacted Kevin Yarbough (Owner of RamCom LLC) after a neighbor recommended him. I had already had 3 other contractors out and received quotes ranging from $6,000-$30,000. I choose to go with Kevin because his communication was superb. We began discussions on 07/03/2012 and spent the next 7 weeks conversing via email and by phone to iron out the details. He spent a great deal of time going over the layout and design of the bathroom. I could not decide how large to make the shower and where to put the claw foot tub I wanted. He came over and drew it out on the sub-floor to help me visualize my bathroom. They began work 08/27/2012 after I had ordered all of the necessary fixtures. What I absolutely loved about working with Kevin was his attention to detail and ability to aid me in design decisions. When I had concerns he would discuss the different options with me and how much they would affect the total cost of the project. They worked diligently until the project was completed 09/21/2012. The remodel took a little longer than expected due to the shower plumbing that was changed. We had them change the single shower head to 4 body jets, a rain shower head out of the ceiling and a hand held shower head. We also had two niches put in and a bench seat. The plumbing for our tub had to be moved as well to the new location of our claw foot tub. They installed a new double vanity, faucets, and fixtures. We added three small dimmable lights and they replaced the existing light fixtures as well as the electrical outlets. They made a full wall in the bathroom into a half wall, did all of the drywall/concrete board and painted the bathroom. We also had a rather detailed tile job on the floor and walls of the bathroom. Kevin and Joe showed up on time, respected my home and always cleaned up before they left. I have worked with many contractors over the years and Kevin is by far the best. I particularly liked the fact that I paid them for labor only and was able to order my own fixtures. Whenever I am in need of any remodeling in the future Kevin will be my first and last call.

I hired this company to redo a shower stall. Because they were already going to be doing concrete…read morework in the shower stall, I pointed out two, small, hand-sized areas of concrete that needed patching on my balcony. The owner Chris, said he would not charge me because it was negligible. I was happy that they were a good faith company who wouldn't nickel and dime me. Boy, I turned out to be wrong on that! Their work in the shower was just alright. It required a second pass to fix some lines that were not quite straight and they offered to fix it. The shower was substantially less work than initially scoped. The estimate was for a much larger job than needed to be done to fix the shower. I expected to get a discount on the initial estimate. Chris discounted me $200. I agree to pay him the full estimate minus $200 for services not rendered in the initial estimate. After the job is complete, Chris suddenly springs me with an additional charge of $100. He wants to charge me for the balcony patches, which were two child's hand-sized areas. This was quite irritating because not only did they not have to do as much of a job on the shower as they initially thought, but he was going to flip-flop on his initial word that he wouldn't charge me for patching the balcony concrete. He began harassing me via e-mail, using adjectives like "ridiculous" and questioning my character. This was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. Within a couple of emails he began threatening to take out a lien on my property. That sounded odd to me, like he was bullying and on an anger trip rather than negotiating like a regular contractor. A lien on my property for a dispute over $100? Sounded unreasonable. I would have gladly paid the $100 if he had been honest with the charge up-front, or if he had sent me a change order in writing saying that the balcony patching would take more effort and he wanted to charge for the balcony. It was neither. The patches were tiny and he did much less work in the shower than he initially expected to have to do. It seemed like he was extorting me for additional money after the work was complete because he felt he could get away with threatening me, or because he didn't really like the fact that he had to do a second pass on the shower floor to get it right. I began talking to my condo building manager about this contractor. I learned that he fired one of his workers who was known for doing outstanding work on bathrooms, then threatened him physically if he ever worked on remodeling any of our building units. In short, this guy is trouble. Like the other reviewer also noted, he changes price quotes in the middle of a job or after the job is done, and gets nasty and short-tempered. There are a ton of contractors out there, save yourself a headache.

We were especially grateful for the assistance in considering colors for each room, and the recommendations on where we needed to make some repairs that were not immediately obvious to us, as we had just moved into the house. Was told Steve would call me in the next day or so. Waited another week and contacted them again, saying I had not heard from Steve. Crickets. Never heard back from them again. I checked both phone numbers they had for me to make sure I didn't miss a call. Nothing. Checked email spam and trash. Nothing. I tried. Contractors, if you don't want the job or can't do the job, simply let the potential client know and we will move on. I can't recommend this company because they don't appear to care about clients that are ready to spend our hard earned money and let us waste time on appointments, calls and emails with nothing to show for it.

He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable about the roofing shingles he installs (Owens Corning) and very detailed on his installation procedures and how he backs his workmanship and his future availability to respond to any questions or problems. Problem is, once he completed our roof installation, he collected his check and despite my numerous attempts to contact him via telephone and email, he has completely ghosted us. The reason I needed to follow up with him is there are three elements of our contract he has yet to complete. My fault, I know better but I paid him before all the work was completed. Part of the contract was his obligation to file our warranty with Owens Corning. I called Owens Corning and they have no record of Jason filing the paperwork. I believe his roofing crew did a good job on my roof installation, but I'm very disappointed that he walked away without completing all elements of our contract and now refuses to return my calls or respond to my emails. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I reached a point with the new contractor where I was ready to stop work with a vote of no confidence because my contractor did not follow the tub installation instructions, which could be a huge deal that leads to costly repairs in the future. I reached back out to Bob to see if he had the bandwidth to take on the re-do work that I had convinced myself was required. Bob was able to zoom me *that day* to address my concerns and let me know that while the existing work isn't super awesome, it also isn't terrible and doesn't necessarily need to be re-done. This call was of no financial benefit to Hunter Contracting but IMO speaks VOLUMES to their integrity. I would hire them in a second to do work on my home.
