Like almost all major projects, we encountered numerous hiccups but Sam always had an answer and did so with us in mind. When he came back later to get paid and check on the work, I asked if it was still $500 because the guy wasn't here for even 2 hours. He said yes. Ok. I'm still on board at this point because I don't really know much about pricing (but $500, using no materials....that's like $200 an hour!). I called him again about our two bathroom faucets leaking, which I had showed him when he came to get paid. He said he could fix them. Said he would call. Didn't. Messaged me for pictures. And literally never called or responded back to my messages. Do not use this company. They take you for your money and leave you hanging when you need something.

Very professional, energetic, and super quick in taking action. I had wind storm damages and, at first, the insurance company was not approving a full replacement stating the roof did not fail their brittleness test. G&F went the extra mile, to go on the roof the second time, mark all damages, document everything with high-resolution pictures, and prepare a very detailed report. The adjuster, after looking at the report, did not even take a day to change his decision and approved a full replacement. Super satisfied with their work and service. Then we asked some local contractors for bids. When this guy showed up, he was very serious. He took measurements so as to provide an accurate estimate. He gave us a bid that was competitive with the other bids. We also did some online searches. We checked out the Better Business Bureau and the state licensing. This business has been licensed to practice in Virginia since 2006, and the owner was licensed under his own name since 2001. There were no complaints with the Better Business Bureau, not one. So with a track record like that we were confident that he would be a good pick. Our job wasn't particularly challenging, but he did the work and did the work well and timely. We have no complaints in the work he did. He even helped us with the local government with getting a permit. This business does a lot of other types of home improvement projects, and they have a good website. We were very happy with the work that he did, and we will be calling him if we ever embark on another home improvement project.
