Good crew workers, but absolutely terrible communication from the office staff and supervisors!…read more The guy who did the initial inspection and estimate didn't describe the layout of our crawlspace to the crew correctly, so our 1-day job couldn't be finished on Day 1 (and because the on-site crew couldn't reach any supervisors to get guidance on how to proceed with a new plan since the original plan wasn't right). So a 1-day job that started on July 20th didn't get done until August 1st because they kept saying the crew was coming on a certain date/time but nobody would show up, so I'd contact the office again and they'd say the crew was coming but nobody would show up, and when the crew did finally get back here they had been told that we had removed a bush that was in the exact spot they needed to put a drain BUT NOBODY HAD MENTIONED REMOVING A BUSH TO US! And, once again, the crew couldn't get in contact with the supervisor! When he did finally talk to a supervisor they asked him if we wanted to have the drain set up in a different way that would mean the job got done that same day BUT their warranty would be invalid!! UM NO are you serious?! Absolutely asinine way to do business, I am shocked that they still get customers at all! So yeah, nobody from the office had called after the first appointment went awry to explain the situation and what they would be doing to fix it, nobody called when we had complained of the lack of communication to explain what was going on, but you can be SURE they billed me immediately after the job was finally done! No delays or waiting around to hear from their billing department haha. We will take our business elsewhere next time we need work like this done, for sure.

Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. You won't see them advertising on TV like other companies because they don't need to. Word of mouth by previous customer service have kept them very very busy.

They submitted their plan and obtained the required permit through The Lake County Building Dept. and the plan was approved 06/18/2026. On 07/30/2026 the work was performed and the inspection was performed on the following day. The Building Inspector has a few things that need to be addressed by Acculevel in order to approve the permitted installation. The building inspector submitted his comments to Acculevel for resolution. It is currently 08/22/2026 and neither I nor the Building Inspector have had any response from Acculevel. I have tried to contact them through their service department and my project coordinator (Antonio) and the contact person provided to the Lake County Building Dept and have not received any information or followup from them. My remodel work is on hold until they get their permit approved. It "appears" as though they have no intention of following up to bring their work up to code. I will update this review if we are contacted by Acculevel to resolve this issue.

He left and came back with plastic to tarp off my things. They started on the job. Carrying dozens of five gallon buckets of concrete out of my basement. Getting debris all over my steps and hallway to the front door. They didn't put anything on the floor. I had to clean the steps, hallway floor and basement floor multiple times to get it all up. Less than two hours after they finished the concrete had sunk and wasn't anywhere near level. The entire length of the basement was unlevel. They sent back a different crew to redo it. They did put down a sheet on the floor and stairs which I appreciated. They did get it much more level than the first people but it still isn't great. They sent a final guy for a walk through the next week. I asked why they didn't use a saw to cut a straight line and he said that they only do that if the customer requests it, otherwise they use a jackhammer down the entire floor to cut it out. Now to make it look normal we will have to go through and put self-leveling down. Had I known that my floor wouldn't look just like it did before minus the unpainted new concrete I would've never chosen this company and paid 9,000 for this repair. Spending that much I would just expect for the concrete to look just as good as my floor previously did. Just know that if you chose this company make sure you request them to cut a straight line or you will have an uneven floor all the way across. Julie

The employees and service provided by Indians Crawl.Space were outstanding. I called for an estimate to repair damage to my crawl space. Larry arrived exactly as scheduled to inspect & provide me with 2 viable options to repair the damage. After learning about the 2 options, the benefits associated with encapsulating my crawl space were obvious ... despite the increase in cost. The team leader assigned to my project, James Patton did an outstanding job and took the time to explain & actually show me the work performed. After completing the job, he went above and beyond by sending me a series of "before" and "after" photos of my crawl space. This review would be incomplete without mentioning the outstanding customer service provided by the office member, Erica. She called to initially schedule, confirm and provide a detailed outline of what to expect, including the name of the Team Lead and their arrival time. Every person associated with the company should be acknowledged for their commitment to quality service & competitive pricing!

I listed…read moreon my request to be quotes for the following work: -Joist replacements -vapor barrier installation (never had one in) -old insulation removal (installed wrong) -new insulation installation -some work near the sill plate to fix a small leak Let me first say that all the staff I talked with were incredibly friendly! I will pay extra for companies that go above and beyond, and for that reason I was leaning towards Indiana Crawl Space Repair. Whoever mans the phone over there is very kind! I knew when I purchased my home that a few of the joists would need replaced. I confirmed what the inspector told me by getting a quote for the work with another company- about 4K was their estimate, which included a newly found issue, MOLD... I'm reluctant to pay that much, so I wanted a second opinion. So I called ICSR and informed them of the findings and requested an itemized quote for all issues now found. They were quick and polite ! We scheduled a visit only 2 weeks out, which worked fine for me. I allowed the technician to begin the inspection before I arrived back home. He was younger than I would have expected, but courteous none-the-less. The issue was the quote and it's amount. The quote work was exhaustive in the work he believed was needed, which included a very fancy drain system. It also included some other items that I didn't request that would "ensure my crawlspace not retain water"- although this isn't my issue because the crawl doesn't flood. The real issue I saw was that the biggest portion of my original requests- the joists- weren't even included in the cost estimation... when I asked him why he said because he could see no damage. After a few extra questions on how that could be, I discovered that he didn't remove any of the old insulation to check the joists, and only assessed what was visible to the naked eye. The total costs for work I didn't ask for, and for work that didn't address my biggest concern was $12k all in all!! I don't believe his intention was to sticker shock me; i'm just not sure he knew exactly what I was looking for with the work I requested. My rating here was hard to assess- in terms of employees, I would give 5 Stars... in terms of costs I would say more like 2 Star. I will mention, I've been told for all the work they quoted, the price really wasn't bad. Just not what I was looking for.
