I meant to review sooner. Hitec did a great job bidding for, scheduling and installing our EV charger almost two years ago. We had two other bids. One was ridiculously high (this is our second install plus another at my mother-in-laws, sister-in-law's, and our son's, so we have a pretty good idea about costs and what increases that cost). Hitech was responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and when they came out, there was an experienced electrician training a young journeyman electrician. They were both nice and made sure we were happy with the job. 18 months after intallation, my car started to send a message that it was sensing heat at the outlet and was turning off. When I called Hitec, they were very responsive and sent a tech out the next morning. He said they have not had any issues with the boxes, but he would check everything out. The only thing he found was that one of the four screws was not tight. He tightened it and told me that if I got a message again, to call them right back and they would send someone out to redo the work. We have not had any other issues. Their great reputation, immediate response and willingness to make sure the work is done right means we'll use them again for any future electrical work. read more

I have so much respect for Hitec Electrical. I had them out to trouble shoot my DIY hot tube set up. He confirmed things looked good and offered some helpful recommendations for safety and inspection approvals. He provided a lot of helpful feedback and insights that I will use as I finish some of the electrical updates I have planned. It was a quick consultative stop where no work was actually done and he did t charge me for the visit even when I insisted I at least pay for his time here. We needed an outdoor receptacle replaced. Our fountain runs all summer, but when I plugged the wet vacuum in nothing worked- resetting the breaker didn't do the trick. The receptacle was upgraded and brought up to code. No problems since. Our microwave kept shutting off during use. It is now on it's own circuit. Our tech was professional and answered all my questions. I would have given a five star rating, but the billing took a long time to process. I will contact them again when the need arises. read more

With the extreme cold we've had this winter, I finally decided it was time to get a quote for an electric garage heater. Ryan was able to come out for a same-day quote and answered any questions I had about the install. I also had a couple outlets in my basement that were not kicking out much juice and Ryan assured me they could take a look at that issue too, once the garage install was finished. Ryan showed up with two installers, Lance and Justin, on time and ready to go the day of the install. Ryan gave a quick rundown of the install to Lance and Justin so we were all on the same page, including my outlet issue in the basement. Ryan then left the rest of the install to Lance and Justin. Lance and Justin were able to knock-out the entire install including mounting and wiring in about an hour! My main electric box is located in the garage which probably made the wiring part a little less complex but I was still impressed with how fast they completed the work. After they completed the garage heater install, Lance and Justin tackled my outlet issue in the basement. After about 15 minutes of trouble-shooting, Lance was able to find the problem, which was located in a completely different outlet, and all work (garage heater install included) was completed in about 1.5 hours. I received my invoice in a very timely manner later on that day via email. I called Hitec and paid my bill that afternoon and received an emailed receipt that day. I had an overall great experience with Hitec Electric and the garage is now warm! I highly recommend Hitec for any of your future electric needs. read more

Turned out to be a tripped GF further up circuit. Had another boys electrical company out and they charged $69 trip charge and wanted $500 to even diagnose or troubleshoot the problem. I was originally referred to Hitec Electric from another electrician that was booked out 2+ months for work. SO happy about this, as Ryan and his crew have been so so great to work with. My husband and I have had quite a few contractors over the years, and Hitec was by far the best experience we've ever had with an electrician. We purchased a 1952 rambler that needed some (kind of) major work. Him and his team were great to talk with on the phone, scheduled me for the time requested, were on time and did their work very quickly, professionally and they cleaned up after themselves. They grounded all our old outlets that couldn't use three prong, replaced all plugs and faces on them, installed four large light fixtures that I would have died mounting myself, they ran electrical for a new light, and also moved electrical when our AC unit was moved. They were flexible with our drywall and paint guys, the AC guys and a joy to work with. He also highly encouraged us to get the electrical inspected by the City based on our situation, and the inspector from the city had nothing but good things to say about Ryan and his team which was very encouraging. I feel great knowing that my family and future home owners of our home won't have to worry about the electrical moving forward. Also, they did it more affordably than another electrician (that seemed very bush league) that we had quote it earlier that week!! We had him and his crew do two follow-up projects for us, and I anticipate we'll be using them again for our basement remodel, or quite frankly anything else electrical we need done. HiTec electric is AWFUL! Here are the facts. I paid HiTec thousands of dollars after Ryan told me that the work was completed, the city inspector had approved the work and that the permit was closed out. Over a year later, to my horror, I was informed by the city that none of that was true and I was in violation because HiTEc had never called for the final inspection and hadn't completed the work. For the next two months I was repeatedly told by Ryan that the work would be completed immediately, and each time it was not. Finally, HiTec did complete the last thing, which was the labeling of the electric box, and my home did pass final inspection and the permit was closed out. Throughout this entire ordeal Ryan was surly, rude and expressed a, "Customer Be Damned" attitude. read more
