Seafood N6. Shrimp Ramen

I have only ever gotten delivery from here but I can't believe it's not rated higher! I love the bao and the shrimp ramen is a generous af serving. It's always delivered hot and fresh. I can't speak to the IRL service but the food is a great value!

Definitely loved the pork buns but the boba was way too chewy. Worth a first try but it seemed undercooked even though they took 16 minutes rather than the estimated 10

This is one of my favorite spots to get boba. The interior is beautifully decorated with a cute aesthetic. The walls are filled with backdrops that are perfect for taking photos or just hanging out with friends. I've tried many of the bubble tea options here and have found that you really can't go wrong. As someone who doesn't like super sweet drinks, I appreciate that you can customize the level of sweetness. A couple favorites include the Love you so Matcha Latte and Strawberry Milk Tea with Boba. As far as food, the ramen is just ok and can't really compare to other ramen you can get in STL. I prefer the bento boxes here, as they offer a variety of flavors and textures.

I visited here last week. I ordered the tiramisu black milk tea with boba and my friend ordered the strawberry milk tea with boba. I was able to sample both. Let me start off by saying, I am extremely picky when it comes to boba tea. Before I moved to the west coast, I had no concept of what boba tea was supposed to taste like. After sampling many different places then moving back to the midwest, I must say I was spoiled. This boba tea is average as far as boba teas go. There's nothing wrong with it, but it just doesn't taste as fresh to me. It's very syrupy, the boba is a little too chewy, and I don't enjoy the milk it comes with. I would still recommend this restaurant to someone who likes fruit based boba teas with popping boba or who enjoys Asian food in general. I would just skip the milk based boba teas.

This cafe is surprisingly cute on the inside--- lots of seating and modern atmosphere. The food took a bit to come out, but was worth it. The Chicken Katsudon was the best I've ever had. The rice may look plain, but the seemingly invisible/minimal sauce really does the job. The chicken katsu wasn't too fried and the perfect texture. I'd recommend the Chicken Steak over the Kara-age. 5-star food, but service brought my experience down to 3 stars. My complaint is regarding my experience as someone allergic to dairy. I wanted to order the Tiramisu Boba Tea, and I double checked with the worker at the counter (gave off manager vibes) to ensure that the drink would be dairy free. She said it was. I then ordered into the kiosk and added a note of my allergy just in case. Thankfully, the worker making my drink came up and let me know that the drink does have dairy due to the cheese on top. The original worker was called back up, and she said they could make it without it and just add the chocolate and cocoa powder that came with the drink. Um what?? What frustrated me was that she wasn't sorry at all about misinforming me when I directly asked about an allergy, and then proceeds to suggest items that contain dairy. Cocoa powder might be dairy free, but milk chocolate is not. It's not a life or death allergy, but I am concerned about their lack of knowledge about an allergen. Please make sure workers are well informed about ingredients!

Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk Tea and Deep Blue Flower Milk Tea (Cheese)

I ordered the deep blue drink and the pork tonkatsu. Both was very mediocre. Tonkatsu is usually sweeter and the breading for the pork is crispy. The tonkatsu that I had tasted like it had mochi breading and the sauce was saltier than it should. The drink was pretty to look at but just tasted like milk. A positive thing is that the brown sugar was good and they give a lot of boba. The stir fry udon was good based on what my friend said.

This is a cute order at the counter and they bring you the yummy food to your table. We had great veggie Udon noodles and they were perfect, tender and chewy and the veggies were crisp! The sauce was well balanced and gave excellent flavor to the dish! 10/10 would recommend- and the boba tea offerings alone are worth the trip!

This was the cutest little restaurant! When you walk in your eye immediately goes to the sitting area. They make your seating feel in closed and private. They have plants infront of the tables to help this feeling. They have cushions and pillows for the booth. They also have cute little plushies all over that you can buy. The service was quick, the laddies working were very helpful and kind. My boyfriend and I Bought a couple things on the menu, Yakrir Grilled Rice Balls, Curry Chicken Buns, Curry Pork Buns, Chicken Roman, Takoyaki. For drinks we ordered the Orange Jasmine Green Tea, and the Dragonfruit Strawberry Smoothie. This meal was AMAZING! We absolutely LOVED the Rice balls, they were our favorite thing that we ordered. The buns were perfect as well, squishy and tasty. The Roman and Takoyaki were great. The Takoyaki, and rice balls were very new to us but we absolutely loved them. We would love to go again!

Good place for a decent meal. We got bubble tea, spicy beef udon, and oyakodon. The spicy udon was not very spicy at all but still flavorful. The oyakodon was a fairly simple dish but very good nonetheless. The ambiance of the place is nice, it has a pink and green color scheme with many fake plants. Service wise you and order at the counter, order at the kiosk or at your table with your phone. It is very convenient and service was quick. Parking wise it is just a lot in front of the restaurant, very easy parking.

A M A Z I N G. Coming from Chicago where I fell in love with chicken Katsu I didn't think I would be able to find a good place that made it here in STL. I WAS WRONG. The rice was perfectly steamed, the panko bread crumbs were crispy, and there wasn't too much sauce where it drowned everything to make it soggy. It was an absolute breath of fresh air. I've had some pretty bad luck these past couple months with service but they delivered! Google says they open at 11:55am on Sundays (weird time) but they open at 11:30am like it says on here! I got there right on time but was waiting on a friend and saw four cars pull up to order, so I was under the impression that this place was pretty good. When we walked inside they were training someone new and he was so nice! I also appreciated the way the manager remained calm and friendly even though they were busy. All in all, I will definitely be coming back and I already can't wait!

Solid bubble tea cafe in the middle of nowhere. I actually saw and passed on this place multiple times because reviews looked mixed and pictures aren't that telling when it comes to bubble tea. Finally stepped in today since I was around the area didn't think I could survive without bbt for another day (azn people problems). Okinawa milk tea hit the spot with 25% sweetness, with distinctly sweet and chewy brown sugar boba. Friendly staff let me try the boba before I was sold on the order. Housemade (by owner's wife) mille-crepe cakes available for ~30% less than Lady M's price. Very cute and instagrammable spot for all the basics and your insta-husbands.

The food was absolutely amazing and came out hot and fresh! Also the food portion size was huge! If you needing intimate place with a clean comforting feel, definitely check this place out. With such a cozy atmosphere and esthetic decoration, you feel welcomed to just stay a while and enjoy your meal. Their drinks are absolutely refreshing and with the hot humid summers here this will definitely be the place to cool off. Service was helpful and guided us thru the menu pretty easily.

Salmon ikura R7. Salmon Rice Bowl. Completely different from what is pictured on their menu.
Fiona A.

All these were take out orders. Ordered several teas with boba, ticket on the drinks mentioned boba, but the boba was nowhere in sight. Shame too, as the boba was paid extra for. The salmon ikura bowl in the picture on the menu was full of ikura. However, on my bowl, I had 7 little ikura (salmon roe), and yes, I counted them. The salmon and ikura were both not too fresh at all. Their food used to be great, but has steadily declined in quality over the last three years. I used to like this place, and when it first opened, I told the owner that I'd gladly tell all my friends and colleagues about it, and I really did, with some of them immediately making a beeline to head there to eat. Today, I'm deciding not to return for a long time. I'll give this place another chance in about a year or two, if it still is around.

Do the bubble teas have lactose in them? Or is there an option for milk alternatives such as almond or coconut milk?

I have ordered several drinks from them online, over 20 times. Their drinks definitely have lactose, so I suggest you call in your order because they do have very many lactose free options. I don't believe they have replacement options like lactose… Read more

I think…read morethere may not be enough seating for its customer demand... that's a sign of a popular place. Happy hour prices + the food quality are what had my friend invite me here. Some rolls are half off and so are a few beverages, like hot sake. I had never had hot sake. I've only had any sake once. I liked it fine, but I didn't want a second order after I finished the first. I was disappointed that Robata was out of plum wine. Instead I ordered what was described as a white sangria, but it tasted more like a brandy. I had a few sips and gave it to my friend. I had 4 vegetarian sushi rolls. Only the asparagus was included with happy hour. My 3 other rolls were takuan, pickle plum and BB. As much as I like plum (keep reading), and takuan was a pleasant surprise, and the asparagus was good, the BB, which has tempura asparagus, cream cheese, and sweet soy, was my favorite item of the evening. I was happy to see umeboshi onigiri on the lengthy menu. These were of a good size, but I think it perhaps would have benefitted from a higher pickled plum to rice ratio. (The only time I've had it has been from a food truck and I don't know how representative it is of onigiri.) Each order of food took a while to come out. My friend had trouble getting the server's attention when she wanted to put in more orders. Robata is not a place for a quick happy hour bite. It's going to take a while, especially if you're ordering in multiple rounds like we did. When the kitchen got too busy, my order another roll was denied. That happened well before dinner service ended and it was disappointing. I would have waited a bit longer. But it was probably good to get cut off from sushi at some point. We were a little confused by the bills. My friend may have overpaid (not gotten happy hour price) for some of her items, and there was some question about whether mine had been billed correctly, but in the end we decided that mine was probably correct. Hers, though... we aren't sure. I think I'll return to Robata for the BB roll, plum wine, and maybe something new, but I will be sure to have plenty of time, order a bunch all at once, and check the bill.

Since my source for umeboshi onigiri seems to have ceased operations (does anyone know what…read morehappened to the Izumi food truck?), i was pretty excited to see pickled plum rice balls on the menu here. I came with a friend for happy hour. We got the half off sushi (which included the mackerel nigiri, which is my FAVORITE (Tho, theirs isn't as good as Sushi Hanna in Alton)) and house hot sake, which was perfect for this freezing week. The heat was out? Which the waitress apologized for. They had a space heater out, so we sat right by that. I also ordered a few of the onigiri to go. They aren't the best I've had, but I'll probably be back semi-regularly to get my fix of the flavor, which is just so unique. Same for half off mackerel Maybe one day I'll even try their non-sushi offerings...

The noodles are perfectly cooked, the toppings are fresh, and the portions are generous without feeling overdone. When we pulled up, there was a line but it moved quicker than we thought. Once we got inside, we were both surprised at how small it was. While I've yet to go to Japan, it def gives off the vibe strictly from ambiance and the decor. It's small but intimate and offers seats at the "bar", as well as communal seating. We didn't get a choice and were sat at the bar. Ordering is done through the QR code and water is offered self-serve. We split an order of the appetizers: house cucumbers and karaage. I'm not a huge cucumber fan but I tried it. I preferred the one with miso as I found it to be more subtle in taste. The chicken was average and didn't wow me. We each got the chicken shoyu with no pork, no scallions and an extra egg. It felt like it took a long time to get our food. We were both surprised once we got it as we were expecting actual chicken pieces but after rereading the menu description, it was chicken oil. He was a bit disappointed as both our dishes were covered in scallions. I suggested we not send it back since it took quite a while to get our food and they were close to closing. Nevertheless, I found the broth to be tasty and full of flavor despite there being no meat. Overall, it was a solid first visit.
