The intimate size of the property worked perfectly for our smaller wedding and being able to add certain rental spaces helped us tailor the property to fit our needs. They have great teamwork which really reflects in how smooth of a process this ended up being. In the chaos of wedding planning, this was one of the easier parts. We absolutely recommend picking the Garner House as a place to celebrate your forever!

All of it is centered around the John Rains house. Judy takes you on a great tour and with photographs, architecture, furniture and incredible heirloom quilts and clothing, she walks you through the important history of the area. Even though you are near busy streets and shopping centers, it is easy to imagine what it was like to be on the property 150 years ago. There are fantastic improvements on the way. A new vineyard, gazebo, updated restroom facilities, landscaping and eventually wine winetasting, will make this a perfect place for a wedding or family gathering. If you like history, the John Rains house is definitely worth your time. A great place to learn about your home town. Younger kids will like the grounds, older kids will be interested in the history.

They made a nice effort for their first try at wines other than their Sherry, which they excel in. It's important to note they're only open Thursday through Sunday, other days they are not available. There was also a visitor in there while we were stopping by who was inquiring about doing a photo shoot with his classic car, so they accommodate that as well. They also mentioned that they have some of the best and most recently remodeled restrooms in Rancho Cucamonga. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and really broke down the history of the place and showed us around the little building. They will be making further additions, but right now it's a small one-room museum that also has merch available for purchase. There is a small free parking lot in back, but there's also a large shopping center right next-door that has a ton of free parking as well. I would highly recommend to any fan of history, especially Route 66, or anyone interested in California or Americana history. It can be a quick stop, or you can really stop and soak it in, the choice is yours. Especially given it is free, I feel it as a really fair deal. Would highly recommend.

Kids are to take off shoes and socks, roll up their pants and mush around in mud. Then they take the mud, mix it with hay and make bricks. After they are done, the students get help with rinsing off the mud and drying off. Great place for 4th and 5th graders.

The construction surrounding the new Coca-Cola factory is an absolute mess and is being handled…read moreterribly. Traffic management has been extremely poor, and the road conditions have made driving through the area unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. There isn't even a proper lane open on each side of the street. Instead, part of the bike lane has been opened up as a temporary driving lane, which creates a very narrow and confusing roadway. The way traffic is being managed is also horrible. Today, I was stuck at a traffic light for 20 minutes because traffic was being held up to allow construction trucks to enter and exit the site. On top of that, there is construction debris scattered along the main roadway, and the pavement is uneven and not fully leveled due to all the ongoing work. The traffic light being out in the area only makes an already terrible traffic situation even worse. I understand that construction is necessary, but the way this project is currently being managed is creating a major inconvenience and a potentially dangerous situation for drivers. Whoever is managing this project is not doing a good job of ensuring that the construction has as little impact as possible on the civilians, residents, and people who have to travel through the area every day. especially with multiple businesses being on this Main street. This needs to be taken seriously and brought under control. I sincerely hope that once the Coca-Cola factory opens, whoever is responsible for managing the facility and surrounding traffic makes sure that the issues created by this project do not continue to negatively affect the people living and traveling in the area. Right now, this is honestly one of the worst streets to drive on.

It first opened at the 1924 LA County Fair and as it grew, it moved from a fair exhibit to a permanent fixture at the Pomona Fairplex. It can be viewed during the annual county fair in September, but is also available year round during special events or on specific days listed on their website (http://fgrr.org/calendar.html). It is located between the Main Grandstand and Fairplex Building #4. If you're here during the fair, I would suggest getting a map to navigate your way around! It is run by volunteers and hobbyists and is free to visit, although they willingly accept donations to maintain it. Even if you are not a huge fan of trains and miniatures, it's still really cool to see and the price is certainly right! From the days of the gold rush and the old west to modern day buildings, everything is miniaturized, even the plants and people. The individuals who create the scenes really pay attention to detail. It almost reminds me of a miniature Disneyland! A great place to take kids and the volunteers there love these miniature trains and towns and will answer your questions and educate you on this mini world! Choo choo!

I think of that every time I come to the fair, and see the garden railroad. It is like one of those toy commercials, hopped up on some kind of genetically modified extraterrestrial steroid. There has to be at least a mile of track, looping and twisting through a scale miniature landscape or tiny buildings, mountains, people, and landforms. And in those tracks run several model trains. During the Fair, the displays are in full operation. During the year, there are regular hours of operation for tours and Q&A with the volunteer staff who keep the garden railroad in good repair. Walk along the western fence line for the best view, and to see the miniature SoCal landmarks from the surrounding area. I'm not into trains the way, say, Huell Howser was I to asking Captain Obvious questions ("Now Carl, is this an actual DESK???" "... Yes, Huell, that's a desk.") But any visitor here can appreciate the countless hours, the painstaking attention to detail, and the sheer number of dateless Friday and Saturday nights that went into making this place. "Can we play with the trains, daddy?" Well, no... In fact, you really can't touch them or even stare at them like you're THINKING about touching them in front of the engineers. But so long as you're on the right side of the 8 foot wrought iron perimeter fence line, you can watch those big-kid senior citizens operate the trains they worked so hard to build, their youthful toy commercial come to life in amazing, terrifying delight.
