It's important to note they're only open Thursday through Sunday, other days they are not available. There was also a visitor in there while we were stopping by who was inquiring about doing a photo shoot with his classic car, so they accommodate that as well. They also mentioned that they have some of the best and most recently remodeled restrooms in Rancho Cucamonga. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and really broke down the history of the place and showed us around the little building. They will be making further additions, but right now it's a small one-room museum that also has merch available for purchase. There is a small free parking lot in back, but there's also a large shopping center right next-door that has a ton of free parking as well. I would highly recommend to any fan of history, especially Route 66, or anyone interested in California or Americana history. It can be a quick stop, or you can really stop and soak it in, the choice is yours. Especially given it is free, I feel it as a really fair deal. Would highly recommend.

The construction surrounding the new Coca-Cola factory is an absolute mess and is being handled…read moreterribly. Traffic management has been extremely poor, and the road conditions have made driving through the area unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. There isn't even a proper lane open on each side of the street. Instead, part of the bike lane has been opened up as a temporary driving lane, which creates a very narrow and confusing roadway. The way traffic is being managed is also horrible. Today, I was stuck at a traffic light for 20 minutes because traffic was being held up to allow construction trucks to enter and exit the site. On top of that, there is construction debris scattered along the main roadway, and the pavement is uneven and not fully leveled due to all the ongoing work. The traffic light being out in the area only makes an already terrible traffic situation even worse. I understand that construction is necessary, but the way this project is currently being managed is creating a major inconvenience and a potentially dangerous situation for drivers. Whoever is managing this project is not doing a good job of ensuring that the construction has as little impact as possible on the civilians, residents, and people who have to travel through the area every day. especially with multiple businesses being on this Main street. This needs to be taken seriously and brought under control. I sincerely hope that once the Coca-Cola factory opens, whoever is responsible for managing the facility and surrounding traffic makes sure that the issues created by this project do not continue to negatively affect the people living and traveling in the area. Right now, this is honestly one of the worst streets to drive on.

It really is impressive from the details to its huge scale, which is most apparent when someone is standing next to the sculptures. This time around we met 3 elderly Filipina women who were excited to be there. I offered to take their picture and they took ours. Then it turned into a conversation about where we were from and where they were from. It was a true tourist interaction even though we never got on a plane. We went during a heat wave, so it truly felt like we were in Egypt, so all of us quickly took pictures, then went back inside our air conditioned cars. I hope that they're able to complete the restaurant because I'm curious to see what the inside will look like, but for now even just the outside is fun to look at and take pictures of.

The kids got to dig in the dirt to look for bugs, make molds of animal prints, and do a nature walk. My only concern and it's strictly personal and nothing against the museum is how long the sessions are where the kids have to listen to the lesson before they begin the activity. It can be difficult for a child with adhd or autism to tend. But again, that's nothing against the museum. However, my concern with them is the little nature walk paths are not small enough for the wheel chairs and there's a part of the nature walk that can be difficult for someone to push a child with a wheelchair stroller. Maybe something to keep in mind if you get a grant for additional funding. Outside of that, inside the building does have a wheelchair ramp. This field trip was nostalgic for me and overall we had an amazing experience with amazing staff! Everyone was absolutely amazing and friendly.
