How can I express how amazing this cup is. It was life changing to stop and see this glorious sight. I was having such a hard day that day. I broke my phone, my car broke down, I got sunburnt, cut on a tow truck, and a cockroach was crawling on me. However, this beautiful cup made it all worth it. I am in tears over how meaningful it was to stop here. I truly beg everyone to take a moment and see this attraction. It was magical and I will always remember how the world's largest paper cup was the place that changed my life and my cars life since it died here. RIP my car, Petunia 2025. Long live the world's largest paper cup!

The World's largest paper cup that's actually cement! This is a cool quick stop along the way, where you get to behold a giant cement cup. If you have a couple minutes to spare why not see this great sight!

my life has been changed forever because of what i consider to be the 8th wonder of the world and historical landmark in the year of our Lord 2025, the World's Largest Paper Cup. since the moment i was born, i knew i was destined for something. what? i did not know. but i knew that my destiny laid in front of me, and i endured. by fate or something more, i found myself in riverside. what good things are in riverside? but alas, in the darkest of places the greatest treasures are hidden. in the desolation of riverside, california i searched for something great. i don't know why, and i don't know how, but something magical happened in that moment. my atlantis was found, that sweet speck of gold in a rushing river of waste. my eyes filled with tears i didn't know were there. could this be? hopeful, me and my squad drove relentlessly, our hearts leaping with anticipation and giddy joy. starbucks for breakfast? a distant memory. nothing but a passing thought as we drove towards the greatest landmark in American history. when this cup was in sight, all we could do was embrace. the feeling was indescribable. we were in the midst of greatness. did our car break down in the parking lot? yes did our radiator pipe burst and my friend get a sunburn so bad waiting for the tow truck that skin cancer is coming in the near future? for sure would we do it all again for the cup? in a heartbeat. you can not call yourself a true red blooded american if you have not seen this beautiful cup with your own two eyes.

So it's a paper cup located by a stretch of winding road and the 91 freeway in Riverside, CA. Billed as the world's largest paper cup it's actually a giant replica made out of cement. It's not a get out if your car and stop and walk around kind of place. It appears to be located on the grounds of a business. You view -you marvel- you leave in about 5 minutes.

So it's literally just a big cement sculpture of a paper cup. It's so nondescript it kind of blends into the building behind it. I was hoping it would have designs on it like the Dixie paper cups from the 90s or something. Anyway, it's not really something worth stopping for. You can just drive by and take a photo and that's that.

wow. wow wow wow. this riverside landmark is probably the one good thing about this place. it is a beautiful phenomenon and exceeded all my expectations. i would like to one day be wed in its shadow. i took off one star for lack of parking and the fact that it was deceivingly crafted of cement and not actual paper. then again, i would hike lengths in order to exhibit the Worlds Largest Paper Cup in all of its large glory.

The bricks that are on the house today are the original bricks hand made by the masons with red clay found on the property. The home's flat roof was waterproofed with tar that was brought from the brea pits in Orange County. This is considered to be the first house built in Rancho Cucamonga. I've lived in Rancho Cucamonga on and off for the last 10 years and had no idea about the history of this beautiful place. Over the years the Rains House passes through several hands and was vacant for a while. The County of San Bernardino purchased the property in 1971. This house is considered a branch off the County of San Bernardino Museum. The house had been vandalized and needed restoring and furnishings . The women of Casa de Rancho Cucamonga Historical Society raised money through fundraisers and making crafts to sell, to assist in restoring the John Rains Home. They were able to furnish the home with authentic furniture and decoration from the time period. I posted pictures of some of the rooms and furnishings. The Docent Judy gave me a really nice tour. There are restrooms outside and a picnic area if you want to enjoy a nice sack lunch. The property is very pretty with the scenic mountains in the background. There is plenty of free parking and not many visitors. Please support the county and visit. I will definitely be coming back. They also rent out space for gatherings. Someone could plan a nice picturesque wedding here for sure. Hours : 10:00am - 3:00pm Open : Tuesday - Saturday. Closed major holidays Contact # (909) 989-4070

The settlers played a major role in the development of agriculture, transportation, and commerce in Riverside and the surrounding areas. The landscaping around the small pavillion is well kept by the city. However, the lettering on the structure has faded, the orange and red paint is peeling, and the structure has dings that need to be fixed. It is presently closed to the public and is only open for specific events. 5 stars for this Chinese Memorial Pavillion, an important piece of California history.

It was built in honor of the Chinese settlers who came to Riverside in the late 19th and early 20th centuries." The Pavilion is located within a downtown Riverside area that housed a cluster of Chinese businesses that constituted Riverside's "first" Chinatown. My family was visiting the Mission Inn and we noticed the colorful Pavilion and walked across the street to check it out. I also noticed several city of Riverside park employees tiding up the area, which is kept very clean. The lush grassy lawn right next to the Chinese memorial is beautiful. Unfortunately, the Chinese Pavilion has become hangout central for many of Riverside's homeless population. These shelter-challenged individuals used to flop out on the Pavilion and lay around on the benches that surround it. So now there is a sign that specifically states no trespassing on the memorial and cites a city law forbidding access, except for specific occasions. The Pavilion was cooperatively funded by the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the City of Riverside, and the Chinese Pavilion Committee, a local non-profit organization that raised local matching donations. The nearby University of California, Riverside, also looks after the memorial and Asian professors have done lots of research on the Chinese emigrant experience. Just because so many Chinese people were an important part of building the state of California, I give Riverside's Chinese Pavilion 5 YELP STARS for honoring their often over-looked contributions. The Chinese Pavilion in downtown Riverside is a vivid memorial to the many Chinese who once lived and worked in the area.
