I had a very disappointing experience with Mid-Atlantic Tree Experts in Middle river Md.,…read moreespecially with Dave, the tree removal specialist. The estimate process was unreliable from the start, and communication throughout the job was extremely poor. What followed felt like a bait‑and‑switch, and the company ultimately failed to honor the signed estimate. Dave initially quoted me $3,000, and we both signed the estimate with his team scheduled to begin work on Monday. However, once the worker arrived, he immediately said they needed additional equipment. A week later, Dave texted claiming there were "a lot of variables" he hadn't anticipated and that the job would actually cost $5,750, a shocking $2,750 increase. I had to send him three text messages and call the main office before he finally responded with this sudden price change. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and communication made this an extremely frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this company.

There were no wasted efforts. Each man had a specific task and got right to it. The crew leader "Mario" got with me for final instructions. If there were any doubts about something I was asked immediately for clarification. within 2 hours, trees were felled, bushes were uprooted and stumps were ground. At no extra cost, the area was rough graded, all residue was picked up and removed. We are extremely happy with the quality of work and the price we paid was reasonable. This is the second time we have used "Ichabod's and will continue to use them.

He was the only one that asked where the location of our septic was while I was getting estimates. They marked the septic area off when they arrived the day of service (this has never been done with other companies we have worked with). We had numerous large trees they were cutting down and I appreciated they weren't just going to drop the trees over our septic area. They also noticed and worked around irrigation stuff we have on the side of our yard that I forgot to mention. The whole team was very efficient and detail oriented. Mario's grading work and clean up of the stump grinding was the cherry on top! Other than the straw over the seed they put down, you would never know there had been so many trees removed from our yard. I strongly recommend this company for their thorough work, timeliness, quick responses, and affordable rates!!!

Jose came out right away to provide an estimate (which was more than reasonable) and took time to carefully explain which parts of the tree he would be trimming back and the reason for each cut. I needed a very tall elm tree trimmed in my rear yard. Even though it is impossible to use a basket truck to reach the tree because of the tree's location off of my alley, the team had no problem climbing the tree and avoiding all power and internet lines. The team arrived on-time and finished in the time promised. The entire clean up job was fantastic and the tree looks great! I can now rest easy about the safety of the limbs around my house and yard. Jose is an extremely professional and friendly businessman and it is obvious he takes great pride in his work, enjoys his job, and values his customers. I am definitely going to hire them again for any job I need done, and I highly recommend Jose and his team for someone you can trust that will treat you fairly and provide high quality services. You can count on him for an honest, thorough, and outstanding job! M.O.
