Friendly service and great food. I love this mom n pop shop, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had the pork and kimchi stone pot and added a raw egg, and it was flavorful and delicious! Most of the customers here seem to be regulars and that means a lot! Verdict: will be back to try their sushi combos!

Beautiful vegetable udon, super spicy super awesome kimchi and some very interesting and super tasty potato mash & corn.

A simple yet fabulous vegetable udon and great kimchi, fast and friendly service at 10pm... all for $11!! What more could you want?? Will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu.

My partner noticed this place when he used this street (next to what was PCYC, now some dance studio) to cut through to the next street. Yakiniku overall is insanely expensive and at Ren Yakiniku, it is no different. At close to $50/pp or $60/pp for "premium" all you can eat it doesn't come cheap. We were here at a but past 8pm on a Friday night and there were only two other tables (couples) finishing up. We sat down and were introduced to the premium menu, which we decided to go for (might as well try it all at once instead of forking up another $60 next time). We were also advised that there is a 90 minute limit and the orders will end at the 60 minute mark. They have a physical menu, but all items are ordered through a touch pad mounted to the wall/table. True to word, the timer on thw touchpad starts once you place your first order... I didn't like this, although usually an hour is more than enough for a meal, but the fact that there was a count down reminding you that you need to plan out what you want to eat next made it quite uncomfortable and I felt like I was in a race against time to eat everything I wanted without time to really taste and enjoy the food. The best items were the beef tongue, and the beef that was on the premium menu. Butter corn and butter mushroom sadly really lacked butter. The beef tataki was tasteless, you can give this a pass. I also now understand why there was a plate of pork belly left of the other couple's table practically untouched. This didn't taste bad... just didn't really taste like much. Verdict: for the price, I don't think we will be going back again, especially with the 60 minute order window. Oh, also, don't go any time after 8, at 9 or so, the chairs all around us were being turned up for the night for cleaning already.

Two sliding doors, secluding us from the hustle bustle of the restaurant. There are two screens on either side of the long tables, for ordering food. It's pretty cool, unlimited food for an hour. The 10% deal for checking in here is nice too. Hehe, food came quickly and with almost no issues. Would come again, just there should be more ventilation! The private room got very stuffy very quickly.

This time we gave Manmaruya in Ashfield a try for lunch. Just across the road and a short walk up Liverpool St from Ashfield mall. FOOD I shared a large Teriyaki Chicken Ramen ($14.80) and a Soft Shell Crab roll ($9.80) whilst the others ordered a Chicken Katsu Curry ($12.80), Pork Karaage Ramen ($12.80) and a large Cha-syu Ramen ($14.80). http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/1uWOnSumYcCFt4G_TRrptg?select=ZkxW7Oe3-KJbltrXYskPZw http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/1uWOnSumYcCFt4G_TRrptg?select=WmpErIg4qfZEH3X78JIyyw http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/1uWOnSumYcCFt4G_TRrptg?select=RVFg9jB6Ht0NJGKa9VnqRA http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/1uWOnSumYcCFt4G_TRrptg?select=Qtjjn-psYhib8uvgaZl-AA http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/1uWOnSumYcCFt4G_TRrptg?select=oRf113-NLeOlwA7FSkwoaQ Manmaruya's speciality is their ramen. For me the most important thing about ramen is the soup. Manmaruya has both pork and chicken soups. I personally always go for the more traditional pork based soup. I really enjoyed the one here as it is still tasty and flavoursome but at the same time not too salty unlike other ramen restaurants. The Soft Shell Crab roll was probably not the best tasting roll I've eaten but satisfied my craving for sushi that day. However it was well presented and I am definitely one to appreciate pretty looking food. Overall I thought the food is reasonably priced and the serving size was decent. SERVICE Unlike the Campsie branch this one was far less busy and so we did not have to wait to be served. The food came out within 10mins of ordering as well. VERDICT I think this is one of the better ramen places in Sydney and would recommend ramen lovers out there to give this place a try.

There are a couple more tables outside which were needed even on a Tuesday night. However, if you are lucky enough to live in the area you can opt for takeaway which seemed to be a popular choice as the takeaway line was constant. All good signs that this was to be an enjoyable meal. With plenty to choose from, deciding was a slightly slow process but we ordered the medium sushi and sashimi, udon, and one of the recommended dishes - the rainbow roll. When the plates came out it was a delight for the eyes! Presentation was so on point and it was just so pretty. I don't think the photos do them any justice. But ultimately what's important is the taste, and yes there was no disappointment in this department either. I particularly loved the sushi and sashimi plate just for how fresh everything was. Although I did find the kingfish a little hard to chew. Minor fault. Entering with a massive sushi craving, Sushi Oh-Oo did a good job at satisfying, or if you flip it around I could have been enjoying everything far too much because of my deep desire for it. Either way, happy chappy. Udon was standard but that by no means is a negative, and was a great accompaniment to everything else. To be honest though, as much as I did enjoy the rainbow roll, not sure if it deserving to be one of two recommended dishes. I mean, it was tasty without a doubt, but I've had rainbow rolls at other places of similar quality. Perhaps it was the overpowering fried prawn in the middle, as I'm not the biggest fan of fried food. But if you are, ignore this, you'll probably love it! What is also another HUGE plus for Sushi Oh-oo is because of their good pricing. It's not too crazy, or not crazy at all depending on how you see it, and they pump out tasty, fresh food so they definitely deserve a big thumbs up in this aspect.
