Dr. Hiri Etessami is the best dentist I have ever encountered. I grew up in Brazil and experienced many dental issues. About 15 to 20 years ago, I visited him for a root canal that I had already undergone three times before. Each time, within 2 to 4 years, the root canal would need to be redone. However, once Dr. Etessami treated that tooth, it never caused me any problems again. Over the years, I have returned to him for additional treatments including root canals and implants. His work is impeccable, and his office staff are great and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Etessami, especially if you have a dental case that others have been unable to solve. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hiri Etassami and his team. Dental surgery is never something you look forward to, but Dr. Etassami has such a natural and careful approach that it makes the entire experience far more comfortable than expected. He explains everything clearly, gives advice I know I can trust, and I've never once felt like he recommends anything unnecessary. The little touches make a big difference too--like the relaxing jazz music in the background that helps keep you calm during the procedure. His steady, thoughtful care and patient-first approach really set him apart. I felt confident and well taken care of from start to finish. If you need a surgical dentist who combines professionalism, honesty, and genuine care, I highly recommend Dr. Etassami. read more

Dr. Hiri and his staff are amazing! I went in for an apicoectomy as a referral from my dentist. I was nervous for the procedure. Dr. Hiri's calming energy and friendliness is something to behold! The procedure went swimmingly even though the decay was worse than expected. Recovery was perfect! I will return to Dr. Hiri for sure, if I need any procedure (...hoping I won't need one haha). I will 100% recommend him! I may even drop by just to say hello, if I don't run in to him at Trader Joe's. He's that darn special! read more

If I lived out of the country and needed a root canal, I would fly back just to get it from Hiri. 100% serious. Dr. Etessami is respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The root canal was so painless I accidentally napped. At 8am. read more

I was feeling pain in a particular area of mouth every time I ate and had been avoiding eating on that side of my mouth for about 6 months. I was sure I needed a root canal and made an appointment to confirm with Dr. Ettessami. He took an x-ray and did not see any damage to my root, made a small adjustment to my crown and within hours I was happily eating again on that side of my mouth. What impressed me about the most about this experience was Dr. Etessami's honesty and integrity. He could of easily said I needed a root canal and I would have listened. Thank YOU so much!!! read more

I concur 100 % with all of the other 5 star reviews of this dental professional and his staff ! To admit I had high expectations based on all of the other positive reviews- however; they were Exceeded !!!- by the procedure (endodontic therapy) I had yesterday. I am typing this 24 hours after being one plus hours in dental chair , with no afterwards pain at all ! Of course your results may very- however , I can attest you will be in great hands from start to finish :) Dr. Hiri Etessami, DDS and his team shine in ever way. Finally- a Pro Tip- unless paying all cash upfront - be sure to understand your dental insurance coverage and what your benefits are & how they work for the procedure you are having performed. Getting the very top in the field when it comes to complex dental care imho is worth every penny. It is not like you are just checking out a yogurt shop :) read more

My goodness... Never in my life have I had an actual GREAT experience at a Dental Office. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, but Dr. Hiri.. Is... an ACTUAL angel sent to this earth to heal teeth!!! The most kind, gentle, sweetest man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Before going to him I had some pretty traumatizing experiences and was absolutely terrified going in to the appointment... But he has completely changed the way I feel about the Dentist!!! HE'S THE BEST! Thank you thank you thank you Dr. Hiri! read more

Dr. Hiri has been my Endodontist for several years now. Dentistry is a slow process when you want to have a great smile. To be honest with you we have become personal friends. This is one of the most beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life. Wonderful staff. Very attentive. Love the back office staff. Everyone of them are amazing. Lots of famous people pictures in the waiting room. Don't let that put you off. In this doctors office everybody is a superstar, or famous person because he makes you feel that way. I always leave his office in better spirits than when I came but I'm always in a good mood because I know I'm going there to see a really amazing person. Dr. Hiri has professor positions at both USC and UCLA. He is acclaimed, sought after and highly revered in the profession of Endodontic dentistry and implants. Parking can be a little expensive in the on site first floor parking lot. I believe they validate. read more

Where to begin.... this is the most exceptional experience I have ever had going to the dentist. I looked up holistic dentists near me and decided to trust the one that jumped out at me. It was not difficult. Who ever bothers to give a dentist a 10 paragraph glowing review? Maybe one or two people. Drs Hiri and Rami had review after review of people swooning about their dental visits. Noone swoons about their dental visits!!! These dentists had people saying they wish they had another root canal to do they enjoyed their visit so much. I burst into tears in the waiting room ( with joy). They are so credentialed it was mind blogging and their patients include some of the biggest names in Hollywood but the thing that stuck out for me was two scrolls from the Dalai Lama speaking of compassion. Taking care of people. Trusting the Higher power. Wow. So immediately at ease and trusting I went into the dentist chair so relaxed and happy I wanted to hug Dr Hiri like an old friend! He took an Xray ( the only place I ever paid less than $100 for an Xray was India) my Xray cost $60. $60!!! And the explanation what what needed to be done was reassuring and in plain English. No fear mongering, no sales pitch, nothing. Just a simple program, next steps and an appointment booked in the morning because that's the best time for surgery. Yep surgery. And I am not even afraid of it. What an experience. Updates will follow. But thank you for restoring my faith. These dentists are honorable, kind and caring. I could keep going on and on. I am blown away. read more

Hiri Etessami, DDS - Endodontists Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I'm somewhat of a frequent flier here, and while that's a pretty depressing statistic, Hiri is amazing. I've had the pleasure of seeing and having work done by both Hiri and his brother Rami. I love seeing him but I hate having to be there, you know? I've come think of him and his brother like family- actually kinda wish they were. You can tell he is in this business to help and heal people- he goes out of his way to make you comfortable, ease your pain, and prepare you for recovery. I Saw Hiri TODAY, again not under the best circumstances - but He is extremely compassionate and takes into account my panic attacks and pain levels in his treatment plan. He fit me in last minute bc he didn't want me to get worse or have a long recovery. He doesn't sugar coat it but he takes his time and accomplishes amazing work and works on hard to treat/complex/and hard cases. Services are not cheap, definitely not cheap, but you are paying for the BEST in the business and he's generously worked with me on price during hard times. He called me at the end of the day to check on how I was doing and always says "any questions or if you need anything please call me". I guess the moral of my after-treatment rambling is that if you need an oral surgeon you'd be lucky to see him, no one in LA is better. read more

I LOVE a doctor that knows what they are doing! Dr Etessami was so caring and professional and clearly an EXPERT in his field. After having a very traumatic dental experience in another (well Known) dental office, where they could not numb me no matter how much anesthesia they gave me, I went to Etessami & Etessami on advice of a friend. Dr Etessami knew exactly what to do and exactly where to inject the anesthesia. He knocked out the pain with one go and did an amazing root canal. I cannot recommend this man enough! He even called to check in on me that evening! The best. The office isn't that kind of impersonal antiseptic white box that's in style now, instead it's full of interesting memorabilia from a real person who is very professional. Reminds me of the old days when doctors really cared and healed you instead of looking at computers and typing away. read more

I've never had a root canal before but I've always heard it was a rough procedure to undergo. I went to see Dr. Etessami as a referral for a root canal and let me tell you, he is amazing. The procedure was painless, other than the numbing shot which wasn't terrible either. It was such an easy experience and am so happy I had it done with him. read more

I had the "good fortune" of needing an emergency root canal due to infection yesterday. I say "good fortune" because I had the pleasure of visiting my friend, Dr. Hiri Ettesami and his staff who are all wonderful! The dentist I had seen previously had misdiagnosed my tooth problem and wanted me to pull a tooth that didn't need to be pulled and said I had an infection in it when it was in another tooth altogether! Of course Dr Etessami found the problem in 5 minutes and re-checked everything to make sure. He's such a professional. They don't get any better! I trust him 100%. I have been a patient for over 10 years and grew to become friends with this very kind Dr. He treats everyone as a friend and makes everyone feel happy, welcome and safe. Never before have I met such a kind, happy, relaxed, funny, gentlemanly, Godly, spiritual man as Dr. Ettesami. I'm sure you all know how Awesome he is because you are all friends with him as well. What an Amazing person! THANK YOU DR. ETTESAMI & STAFF FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF ME AS ALWAYS! LOVE YOU ALL! read more

I had a dental emergency, and dr rami etessami saved me, I'm not kidding! I had gone to another root canal specialist the week before, he broke 2 files in my tooth, then blamed me and said I had to have it pulled. I had so much pain, and swelling, my face (jaw) was black and blue. I was devastated, not wanting my tooth pulled, my fiancée wanted me to see Rami Etessami for a second opinion. I am so thankful I did, he is so kind and so talented. I have piece of mind knowing Dr Rami is part of my dental team. thanks to dr rami and dr Anthony Mobasser (my cosmetic dentist) I'm smiling! They are a great team, you know your in great hands! Literally! read more

I wish I could give Dr. Etessami more then 4 stars. Long story short. (I won't bore you with the gory details) I went to my dentist (who I really didn't like but I never had a major issue so..) because I had pain in my upper tooth. Without really examining me, but based on x rays and flossing in between the tooth (yes you heard right) she said that the tooth needed to be pulled and I needed an implant. (Which takes approximately 1 year. I was traumatized to say the least) Not trusting her a friend urged me to go to Dr. Etessami. He took one look at my x rays, examined the tooth and said that he would like to try and save the tooth. And save it he did!! He is THE BEST Endodontist that I've ever been to. He knows what he is doing, and is compassionate and caring. He cared enough to try and save the tooth rather than going the easy and lazy route and pulling the tooth. When it comes to dental surgery I will NEVER go to anyone else. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Etessami! He is the most wonderful specialty dentist I've ever met, in fact one of the best medical professionals in LA. He is not only extremely talented (one might say gifted), knowledgeable and has 2 specialities (root canals and implants) but he is also so kind and gentle. He saved one of my tooth which several other dentists had told me had to be pulled. Dr. Etessami suggested an alternative surgery involving the removal of 1 of 3 roots in a molar (drilling through the bone) because that particular root was cracked in several places (no clue how I did that), and the area had become badly infected. The other dentists I saw all said the tooth had to be pulled, which would have forced me to get an implant or bridge months later once the bone and gum had healed enough. Dr. Etessami carefully walked me through the entire process for this surgery, and I'm so glad I took his advice. Surgery went much faster than I thought, Dr. Etessami was super gentle, stopping frequently to check on me and explaining what he was doing, and also gave me plenty of time to discuss post op care, pain management, etc. In fact I left his office with all the medicine I needed, no trip to the pharmacy required. His staff are equally wonderful (the surgery nurse was amazing), his front office ladies super sweet and accommodating with scheduling, checking on me afterwards etc. Just 10 days post-op I felt like nothing had happened and I'm healing very quickly. I cannot praise the skills and kindness of Dr. Etessami enough. I felt like I was being cared for by a doting uncle! read more
