My impression has been that they are calm, attentive, and very mindful of how overwhelming home care decisions can be for families. They seem to take a thoughtful approach to each situation and focus on what will realistically help at home rather than offering quick solutions. Communication has always felt clear and easy to follow. Overall, a dependable and considerate team serving the East Bay Diablo and Tri-Valley areas.

He was very negative, could not articulate, could not pronounce my name after correcting him four (4) times, and basically said I was not a good fit for their company. Wow....it must be nice to say that after a 10-minute conversation with no details. Literally was handing him a certified caregiver, who needed to be onboarded with them ( a no-brainer for them), and he said that was not a good fit. What?!!! Are you serious? Having worked in healthcare for over 35 years, specifically with home health agencies, I am not new to this field at all. I know when a company does not have its patients' best interests at heart and is looking for the easy way out, or when it just has poor representation answering its phones, which is a huge red flag to move on and avoid future problems. Which is the case here. In summary, my first impression was unfortunate because the reviews I read were so positive. That just goes to show, you have to call and talk to them yourself and go with your gut before hiring anyone, especially someone to care for your most vulnerable family members. I will not be calling back and taking my business elsewhere. VETERANS BEWARE! This is not a company I would recommend to anyone.

I'm very happy with From the Heart and the caregivers I was assigned!…read more For a couple months after shoulder surgery, I needed help with certain tasks requiring more than one arm. From the Heart is far more affordable than it's competitors who have weekly hour minimums (sometimes 20!), because as my rehab progressed I came to need only 1 hour 3x/week. From the Heart communicated and well and always delivered on caregiver assignments. The caregivers were professional, cheerful, conscientious, and kind; I will miss them!

The physical and emotional support provided by FTH has made Mom stronger, healthier, and happier. Our need for so many hours has decreased since then. FTH now provides support in shorter shifts so that she may live with dignity and a sense of autonomy that had been missing from her life. From the Heart's staff is responsive and caring. As the primary family contact, I feel like I have a true partner: "Your mom deserves the best care" has been the theme throughout my relationship with From the Heart and they mean it! I am grateful for the support that our family has received from both individual caregivers and from the FTH staff. They are a tightly-knit team of professionals who truly believe our mom deserves the best. They say it out loud and they "walk the talk" every single day. I highly recommend From the Heart!

I have learned a lot more now, but it's too late. The care was seeming good at the time. The…read moresupervisor that first came to my home and talked to me agreed with me my mom was not really needing hospice care. After talking to management she all of a sudden agreed with the office manager that she did need hospice care. It seemed as if the manager made her agree to putting mom on hospice care. It was a sudden turn around as if they would lose a patient. I'm wondering if they get paid big bucks if they get hospice patients, and if they pass, their SSA will no longer be given to them. I gave a good written review when they sent me the letter to give a review, but I have another friend going through this now, and it seems like they are encouraging her mom to pass. They keep telling her the mom is in transition, but the mom is still eating a little food and has no pain. I pray for God to forgive me for letting them come to care for my mom. It seems like they encourage meds to give to them. Same situation for my father in 2 months later. It was a different hospice, but all 3 of the care for hospice seem to have the same agenda.....I miss my mom!

These folks don't follow through and not only did they not provide me with the least bit of care,…read morethey did worse than that by not notifying anyone they wouldn't be providing me with the least bit of care. Prior to my total left hip replacement Lifeguard Home (Un)Health was contacted by the surgeon's office to provide physical therapy for me. Since they don't take Medicare insurance plans, they didn't bother to notify either me or my surgeon's office that they don't help people with Medicare insurance, so the surgeon's office thought it was all set. Unfortunately, this isn't the first, and probably not the last time I'll deal with a loser company like this that just drops the ball and never bothers to notify anyone about anything, and then just tries to deny and make excuses about everything. It's not just the frustrating experience dealing with the lameness, it's actually harmful for people who end up without the care they need.

Convincing my mom that she needed extra care at home was challenging and once she signed off, I…read moreknew I'd need to find the perfect fit for her if it was going to work out: she's always been incredibly capable and has extremely high standards. After meeting with other senior care companies, it was immediately clear to us that All Seasons Homecare was the team we'd hire. From the thorough evaluation of my mom's home by LouAnn (who my mom fell in love with on the spot), helpful tips on making her home safer while she "aged in place," to the caregiver match (which was spot on), All Seasons Homecare continues to exceed our expectations. My mom constantly sings the praises of her wonderful caregiver, Kendra, who is both professional and kind. I hear in my mom's voice how pleased she is and it gives me great comfort to know that she is in good hands. LouAnn and her fabulous, high level staff are the absolute best and have provided me (and my siblings) great peace of mind. I can't recommend All Seasons Homecare highly enough!

Not a recommended caregiver company. Hired them to take care of my 82 yr old dad for 3 hrs a day ,…read more4 days a week. The ladies of the company were nice, but I think a bit rehearsed in their speech and although they said they wanted to find the right fit for my dad, the people they sent were really 'out there'. Gave specific requirements and needs that they said they could accomodate. The major needs were a good cook and someone who can hold a conversation. The first caregiver they sent changed the schedule to fit her needs and had a month long vacation planned which would have required another caregiver to be sent out. Why did they send out someone who would have to be replaced in a couple of months? We told them we were looking for someone long term. My dads desire was not to have to bounce from one person to the next. The same caregiver then decided to take $20 cash for gas that was offered in kindness, but as a professional caregiver you should know that you never take money from a patient for ethical reasons. Gas money was not part of the contract, unless the caregiver drove the patient somewhere in their own car, which she didn't. Some seniors who are a bit forgetful or just not all 'there' might offer money, unaware that it is not what should be done. The final straw with her was letting us know last minute that she couldn't come on a day she was scheduled. So we had them send out another caregiver. ( The company did reimburse us the $20 on the second invoice). The second person they sent had absolutely no personality and ruined $7 worth of chicken trying to cook a meal for my dad. It was horrible and I can't believe she would try to make someone eat it. Basically boneless thigh meat cooked in soy sauce until it was completely inedible. And white rice with nothing on it. Really?? this is someone who can cook, huh? She had no understanding of what was being said to her and I often had to say, "do you understand what I mean?" due to the lost look in her face. Ok, person number 3 was a 24 year old who had no experience! She may have been certified, but she has no interpersonal training or experience. She came several days and then I get a call from the director that the caregiver said she didn't want to go to my dads anymore because he propositioned her for sex!!!!!! OMG!! My dad is 82 and couldn't understand what was going on when I told him she pulled this. He would never do that, even in jest. The caregiver mentioned an older sister and my dad said "oh, she wants to come work here, well sure, send her over!" . And the caregiver took that and ran to the director to file an incident report that my dad propositioned her! What the HELL?? YOu have to know how to distinguish fact from fiction and this girl had no idea how to talk with people or how to understand what a senior might be talking about. My dad was mortified that she said that, and although he was unsure of his exact words, he was very clear that he never said he wanted her to be his mistress!! He told me, "she's a child, he would never to anything sick like that! ". I am totally disgusted by the parade of incompetent people that were sent to care for my dad. I'm starting a new caregiver soon and will review them after experiencing their quality of service. In the meantime, stay away from All Seasons Homecare, I would never use them again based on our experience with them.
