Glad to say they ended on a high note. Atmosphere: Tatsuya always nails the theming with that street Japanese style decor. This one certainly was one of the most stand outs complete with Japanese style kitchen cabinets and stylistic art. Food: If I recall the menu's did change a bit, I recall them having this flip over style but now they opted for a more simplistic one sheet style menu. With that said I ended up with the Sukiyaki, delicious. With some flank and A5 meats so I could experience all styles, this combined with the bit of truffle dipping, so so so good. Service: Per most Tatsuya places, friendly and quick service. Don't be sad it's over be happy it happened... is what I would say if I knew this is the end but it's not, because the Tatsuya staff announced they had something happening in the works, so I know this is just another chapter. Looking forward to that whatever that is.

My parents barely speak English, so kind of wasn't necessary to teach us how to dip the stuff in hot water for each thing. You can upgrade to a premium plate on some of the courses which is absurd since the bill came out to be over $100 per person and we didn't order drinks!! No one should have to pay this much for boiled food. Even the normal menu was kind of over priced. The only redeeming part of this was the interior was nicely decorated to a bamboo Japanese style. But that shouldn't matter with all else.

The server asked if we'd been there before and since we had not, she explained the menu and where to get the food. We picked our hot pot broth and then went to the buffet area for all the hot pot and kbbq meats, seafood and veggies. There's also an appetizer bar. I enjoyed the japchae, chicken wings, spring rolls, pickled radish and kimchi. There is a great sauce bar too. I had the mushroom broth and he had the seafood broth with a small side of the mala broth. The broths were delicious, and there was so much to choose from on the buffet. We had servers check in with us frequently and topped off our broth when needed. I made sure I saved room for the complimentary coffee, desserts and soft serve ice cream. We really enjoyed our food and service so we will definitely be back.

Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. Narrow Street is my go-to for my Korean food fix!

The hot pots were all good as werethe appetizers. The noodle dishes were truly lousy. Tasted bad and didn't taste like what they were supposed to according to several people in the party and I tried one of the dishes and I would agree completely. Of the six hot pots that we had five of them did not have the right ingredients based on what was checked off on the order slip. Really surprising and odd. I don't know if people aren't reading the order slips carefully or don't know some of the ingredients. Like I said odd. Biggest complaint was that my daughter-in-law's food came after everyone else had finished. Truly. No exaggeration. I asked three times where her food was and I was told three times by the same female server that it was coming. Turns out she forgot to put the order in. Inexcusable that this meal was not credited and given for free. I will go back to this place, but it is clearly in need of improvement.

When you arrive, everybody is so nice you give them your name and they get you seated right away. I ordered a drink called a signature tingling Daisy and it was so good. I definitely could've had so many but I was driving so you gotta pace yourself. We started off with the soup dumplings, which are just phenomenal. It's a must when you go. Also, for appetizers, we got the spicy cucumbers which were divine and a hot and sour soup, which was perfectly balanced and not watery. We also got a beef fried rice and let me tell you that rice is so soft and delicious. You literally dream about it the next day. I also got the pecking duck which is delicious there the skin is nice and crispy and the meat on it taste so good. We also got the Kung pow shrimp with cashews, which was delicious and the pieces of shrimp were gigantic. We also got the green beans which is were delicious. I love ordering green beans when they're cooked just like the ones I posted in the photo. Then for dessert, we got the chocolate mousse which is that little dog cake. I know it's so cute and they made it a little hard to eat because you feel bad in a weird sense. It was delicious now I will say when cutting it and realizing the inside had a raspberry filling, made it a little more crazy cause it looked like blood, but it was still so good. This place is definitely an awesome staple and a must visit when you're in town or just always go and have food there whether it's date night or friends catching up or anything in general even on your own.

This could have been my mistake but I don't remember any choice in the matter. The greeter wasn't very friendly and borderline surly when I asked for more details about how to not book the bar in the future. Didn't get any explanation but fortunately, we won't have to worry about that... The food was just awful. We ordered 3-4 types of dimsum (onion pancake, soup dumplings, chu shou, fried shu mae) and three entries (orange beef, eggplant and their take on ma pao tofu) for the best tasting experience. The curry sauce for the onion pancake was probably the most flavorful dish of the night sadly. The onion pancake was way way over fried-- hard as a rock. If that's their take on onion pancake... well, it's just wrong. The soup dumplings were passable but a bit doughie and the filling was full of a lot of noticeable coagulated fat -- not clear and broth-y, with light surface droplets of oil as all delicious broths. My wife enjoyed the chu shou -- I found the filling much too overcooked and tough -- difficult to eat with chop sticks. Like a tough, overcooked meatball. The fried shu Mae were just plain inedible. My wife and I each ate one and left the rest. The included sauce was basic and too heavy. And again, over fried. There was a huge delay between our apps and our mains, like 40 minutes or so. Various bar staff apologized. It wasn't a big deal, we were in a good conversation and they were super busy but our mains were not at all worth waiting for. Small portions. WAY over sauced. WAY too salty. WAY too sweet. No distinct flavors at all. The ma pao didn't seem to have any Szechuan pepper at all. How do you miss that ? The plating of the eggplant dish was really creative but I don't eat with my eyes and it came with no instruction -- my first bite was just flavorless steamed eggplant cube -- second was mixed with one note sauce. One of the better mains IMO but it was still gloopy and pretty gross. Wife did not enjoy it. The orange beef was essentially just six or seven cubes of tough, fatty beef covered in over-the-top bitter orange peel. We each had a cube and left the rest. Honestly, give me Panda Express any day over this abject failure of a restaurant. Austin needs more Chinese but if it's anything like this place, forget it. I'd rather spend a 4h round trip to Houston and go to even a mediocre Chinese restaurant than endure another meal at this place. What a waste of $165. Edit: I wish I was making this up but I literally had to pull over to throw up on the side of the road on the way home. The food did not sit well with me. I have no underlying health conditions, am not on any medicine that would have this as a side effect and only shared one beer with my wife. It was just a very, very, disappointing and gross meal.

Came here during a weekday dinner and was surprised how empty it was. The restaurant was HUGE and it was just us and 1 other party. The service was actually really good. Our server was super friendly and prompt with her service. I think they only had 2 staff members since it was so quiet, but everyone seemed to do their job professionally and smoothly. The broth (spicy and original) were both decent but not super flavorful. We preferred the spicy. The self service food bar had decent options, with veggies, noodles, seafood, and cooked food options. Also enjoyed the unlimited drinks and ice cream. The biggest issue is the quality and cuts of their meat, especially the premium cuts which we paid extra for. All the premium cuts we had like wagyu chuck eye roll, prime angus beef, and the ribeye were supposed to be high quality but they were all super lean, no marbling, and low quality. The actual meats were nothing like the descriptions. They also all pretty much looked and tasted the same. We asked them what each were when they arrived to make sure there wasn't a mix up. All 3 were significantly worse than the original beef short plate included in the standard menu. Since the meat is the main focus for hotpot, it was a disappointing meal.

We arrived at 8:45pm. I debated on the star rating between 4&3 stars simply due to the lack of service. Pros: the broths are delicious, great meat choices on the menu, the buffet had plenty of veggies, seafood, pickled radish-my fave, pleanty of sauces, and that fried chicken was so good, too good . Cons: restaurant closes at 10 but last call and buffet closes at 9:30. The buffet is not restocked often around 8:45/9pm. The service was not great at all. We weren't greeted, weren't asked if if it was our first time, weren't told anything about the menu, buffet, drinks or the ordering process. We weren't given utensils for our hot pot, I had to find our server and ask if there were hot pot utensils available. All we had were our chopsticks and soup spoons. No one checked on us, we just finned for ourselves. When you first enter theres a hostess counter and a wait-list sign in tablet. There was someone at the counter but they ignored us when we walked in so I went straight to the tablet to sign in. While figuring the tablet out, a server walked (she seemed frantic) and said how many, party of 2, she took us to a booth, gave us menus and walked off. Not the best first impression and the service stayed that way the remainder of our visit. No explanation of the menu, ordering process or buffet. We had to ask multiple times about the ordering and food experience. Even had to ask if we would get drinks. The server said, it's over there. We ordered a split pot, 1 side spicy marrow and 1 side mushroom marrow. Note: spicy marrow has the szeschuan peppercorn, you've been forewarned. The mushroom broth was absolutely delicious! We ordered the premium menu but would have been just fine with the basic meat menu. We made the mistake of filling up on the buffet fried chicken and egg rolls and pickled radish. We added veggies and meat to our hot and let it cook a little bit before enjoying such great flavor. Nice surprise when we were leaving, I saw complimentary ice cream cups dessert. Note for next time, try to go during happy hour on a weekday or lunch. If dinner, arrive before 8pm. Anywho, we will be back and do recommend this location for hot pot.

Let's get the good out of the way - the food was what we expected. No complaints there. If you've been to The Melting Pot, you'll know what to expect and I didn't notice any difference in quality there. The restaurant looks just like the others inside. We were seated relatively quickly after arriving. Now, the really not good. Our waitress was the worst server we have ever experienced and I'm not exaggerating. In our probably hour or more there, I think we saw her for a total of 5 minutes? Including while she was at the table preparing the food. She disappeared constantly and would be gone for 10 or more minutes without checking in. I asked her for a water refill, waited so long for her to return that I decided to flag down a different waiter, got a refill from him, and then DRANK THAT WHOLE GLASS before she ever came back. Still wiithout a refill for me. When our salads came, she had no dressing for mine. She left to go get it and didn't come back until the others had fully finished their salads. I ordered a strawberry lemonade when we first sat down. It never came and so we asked about it at dessert to make sure it wouldn't be on the check, and before we could finish asking, she said 'OH!' and left, and then came back 5 min later with it. It wasn't exactly what I wanted to drink with my chocolate. She never asked if we were celebrating anything even though there were two birthday tables next to us whose wait staff made HUGE deals about their birthdays, AND it was on the reservation notes. Here's the thing. She never apologized for any of the wait times, or disappearing, or forgetting things. Even after all of the mishaps, my review would have been a 4 star if she'd ever once acknowledged how comically bad it was all going. This experience was so bad that I had to share it. Usually I gloss over less than stellar service, but this deserved to be immortalized.
