By boat, it's about 20 minutes to Boston but by car it's almost an hour. The boats stop running around 7 p.m. so we decided to take a limo to our very first game at Fenway. I love this idea because then we don't have to deal with directions, traffic or parking. Seaport Livery came through when we needed a car to take us to the game! Our driver was five minutes early for our scheduled pickup and he was totally prepared to make our trip really comfortable. There were small snacks and water waiting for us in the car when we arrived in case we were hungry. He knew his way around Hull and was able to get us into the city in under an hour, even in traffic. Awesome! Our driver was super nice and very chatty, which I enjoy. He shared a lot of information about Boston and baseball, which was really great for all of us in the car. The game was delayed in the 5th inning due to rain, so we decided to just high tail it out of there and get back home. We called to arrange a pickup and our driver knew exactly where to get us to avoid baseball traffic. We only had to walk two blocks and the pickup was super fast and easy. Our ride back was much like our ride to the game and that was A-OK with me! More talk of baseball and the driver's life growing up in Boston. Super awesome! All in all, very wonderful service. We paid about $120 total with tip and that is totally worth it to avoid all of the hassles that come along with driving in a new place to a baseball game. The service was really great and on time, which is always a plus in my book. They offer airport drop offs/pickups, private charter for parties, events, dances, etc. and some other services to suit your needs. Give 'em a call!

I used Seaport Livery this past week to and from a trip and I am so glad I did. Moments after I…read moreplaced my request on the website I received a call from the owner to confirm. Unfortunately I can't remember his name now, but he was one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. He took care of all the details and was very thorough while somehow at the same time giving me the feeling I was talking to a long lost friend. On our trip to the airport we were picked up promptly at 4:30 am by our driver Laurie, who was fabulous despite the early hour! She got us there quickly and we were all at ease and relaxed by the time we got there. She is a hoot! On our return trip as soon as I took my phone off airplane mode after landing I was greeted with a text from Dave, our return driver. He gave us instructions on where he was waiting for us, conveniently outside the luggage pickup area. Unfortunately, we came home to a snow storm but thankfully Dave is a fabulous driver, who made us all feel at ease even though we encountered many slippery, unplowed roads. We will definitely be using Seaport Livery in the future and I have already recommended them to multiple people! Leave the driving to these true professionals!

I finally got a chance to take the ferry from Logan airport to the city. To get from the airport…read moreterminals to the ferry, take the 66 route Massport bus. The ferry terminal itself is served by the Hingham-Hull ferry route along with water taxis. There is an enclosed waiting area that looked new, modern, and clean, with a lot of seating. Not sure if there are any ammenties, I didn't have a chance to go inside as the ferry was arriving and I had to head down the ramp. You buy your ticket on the ferry. I paid $9.75 for the trip from the airport to Boston. The view of the city was fantastic and got a bonus view of the old Natucket Lightship on the way. The trip itself took about 10 - 15 minutes to get to Long Wharf (near the Aquarium and Long Wharf Marriott). From there its about a 10 - 15 minute walk along the Greenway to South Station. The Aquarium Blue Line subway stop is located near Long Wharf also. You can also take the ferry in the other direction to Hingham & Hull. I'm not sure about pricing going that way. I'm giving the ferry 4 stars as it doesn't run as frequently as other public transit options from the airport. At this time of year (November 24) the ferry only stops at the airport inbound to Boston at 10:50AM, 12:45PM, 1:45PM, 4:20PM, and 8:10PM. Going outbound to Hingham/Hull, the times are 6:40AM, 7:40AM, 9:25AM, 11:15AM, 7:55PM, 9:30PM, and 10:05PM. So these are fairly specific times. It would be much better if there there were more frequent stops at least between the city and the airport. The water taxis may run more often or may be pay and go, however I'm not sure of how they work.

We took 17 girls and 6 adults for a camping overnight this summer. Pricing was great for rustic…read morecabin camping! We had most of the campground to ourselves, which was so fun! Lots of firewood around, bathrooms were clean, beach was lovely. We would definitely recommend bringing a metal grille to put over the campfire for cooking as there is nothing like that onsite. Recommend packing a fitted sheet, because a sleeping bag on a bare cot is much too slippery! And pack a broom to sweep cobwebs out of cabins! Definitely rustic, but great if you're prepared!

I'm so bad with names... sorry! Big clean single gender bathrooms were available in the office which were great for a quick visit before our flight. Once in the helicopter, you strap yourself in with a seatbelt similar to those found on airplanes, and put on the headphones so that you can hear the pilot and each other above the noise. It wasn't a long ride, but it gave us a great view of some lovely terrain and the beautiful water as well as the teeny houses and other structures. When we returned safely to earth, the staff kindly offered to take a photo of us by the helicopter.

He was very very nice and his machine is incredible. It had leather seats and Bose headsets. He showed us some beach views that make me want to drive down right now and park my car on the beach (i am sure this will happen this summer). The only thing that is causing me to take away one star is that when we went there was a little bit of a booking issue. He had scheduled both us and another couple for 1PM without realizing and there was another coupe who drove to the wrong airport. Luckily it was a really nice day and we didn't mind hanging around for a bit. If you have never been in a helicopter this is a great experience and well worth the money.

The station is handicapped accessible and features both audible and visual announcements of the next train in both directions. The station is reasonably lit in the evening. There is some parking available here. No machine for adding value to or purchasing your Charlie Ticket. You will need to board the train at the driver's door so that you can swipe your form of payment. Butler is on the M line between Milton (outbound) and Cedar Grove (inbound). You can also pick up the Naponset Trail from here if you're interested in walking.

Do not expect to use their WiFi to pay for parking there. I was unable to download the parking app…read moreor make a payment from the station. Their recommendation was to either use Dunkin Donuts wifi, go out on the platform and try for better cell service or do it later when you can find cell service elsewhere. MBTA's WiFi is spotty at best, but more likely nonexistent. Pretty sad, since they expect you to pay for parking via phone only app.

Amtrak recommends arriving 30 minutes before your scheduled train and it was my first time using…read moreAmtrak, and my first time to Route 128 Station. Exit the highway, drive past the parking garage and turn left onto Blue Hill Drive, and take the left on in where it says "Amtrak/MBTA Pick-up & Drop off". Either entrance at the end will work. While the left side is more direct and closer to the Amtrak counter, the right side will take you past the Dunkin Donuts. There's a waiting area, the bathrooms are by the elevator, and only two tracks. 1 is outbound, and 2 heads into Boston. Simple. Start heading out when they announce that your train is arriving, about 8 min in advance. Head towards the right if you are Coach bound. Take a seat and the conductor will scan your ticket code and tuck a paper ticket above you. Take it with you if you change seats. If you go past NYC, the crew changes, and every passenger gets scanned again. If you are ADA and need access to one of their accessible seats, there's a way to mention it when buying your ticket, so the conductor will save you a seat in advance. Two bathrooms are available at one end of the Coach car. If the light is on, the bathroom is taken and the door locked. These are roomier than those on airplanes. So are the seats, although they otherwise resemble those found in planes with the tables that fold down and seats that recline back. 120 volt plugs are available, but no screens and no headset jacks, so no music. Stops are announced, so it felt that communication was pretty good on the train and at the station. Coming back and arriving on track 2, we had to exit and head up and over the tracks, where we could go straight into the garage, or take the escalator down by Dunkin Donuts. There's an elevator as well, which will take you to the bathrooms.
