Accu-Tax helped with some initial questions on what we needed to bundle together; however, they would not provide even to the executor of the estate with any information on previous years taxes we needed to eFile. Yes, my father-in-law should have filed this information away, however he did not have the capacity to do as such. No help and had an attitude about it. I felt the $300 they would have charged this year was more important to them then the life of my father -in-law.

Lisa Knauf handled my mother's estate after her passing, which included the family business. The…read morecompany shares were divided equally between my sister and me. My sister believed she should transfer her shares to me because she had invested far less time and effort in the business than I had. However, without understanding the history of the family business or consulting me, Lisa Knauf persuaded my sister to retain her shares. In my view, this was highly unprofessional by Knauf Law, as it favored my sister over the interests of our 79-year-old family business and led to an ongoing 50/50 deadlock. I recommend avoiding Knauf Law if you do not want decisions made behind your back by someone who assumes they know better than the people directly involved.
