The first year I had Roger do my taxes, the experience was incredible. I came out owing a lot less…read morethan I thought I would. Everyone in the office was extremely nice. Roger took his time to sit down and explain everything to me in detail. The second year, however, was not the same. I sent in my paperwork for my taxes. I had to keep calling to see when it was ready. It took quite awhile. While I know it was a very busy time, keeping me informed would have been helpful. I was finally told they were ready to sign and pickup so I set up an appointment. When I went in, they said I just needed to sign and then pay them their money. I wanted to speak to Roger but they asked me what it was about and when I told them, they said that would be a financial matter and I would need another appointment and to pay for that. What!!! I'm in there about my taxes and have questions regarding it and future taxes but I can't see Roger about that without incurring additional fees? It was very upsetting to be treated like that as a client. I won't be going back there. He charged almost $200 to do a simple return when I could have went to AARP's tax sites and gotten it done for free. It wasn't that complicated. I wont be back again to RR Financial and I do not recommend them.

I…read moream a dentist and my accountant retired after using him for my business and personal taxes for 35 years. I reached out to a fellow dentist friend and he recommended Tim and his team. This year's taxes had a glitch on my part with a late k1 for some unknown reason ( never had an issue like this in 35 years ) but Tim was absolutely fantastic and patient with me asking so many questions. I was concerned because it was a big change for me and dentists (me) are not always great with change. We are creatures of habit. Add to the fact that I'm officially retiring this year and I wanted to make sure my taxes were taken care of. Looking back , Tim had our backs the whole time and assured us he would get things filed once we got this k1 and that's EXACTLY what he and his team did for us. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. If you need a team that will get the job done , look no further. I look forward to a long relationship with him like I did with our last accounting team. Thank you guys. Look no further if you want a professional who gets the job done , just call Tim ! Wish I could have given more than 5 stars .

As someone who has used both online self-filing services, and a certain nationally franchised tax…read moreservices provider, I firmly believe this is a service area where you get what you pay for. I've been a customer of M J Vandenbroucke's for years, and have always experienced excellent customer service. I had a relatively complex return this year and it was completed in just a couple days. As a consultant, I had income in multiple states, each of which required a separate return. Not only was the service quick, but the team at M J Vandenbroucke took care of all of the paperwork, and returned it to me with dummy-proof instructions on how to finish processing. I highly recommend M J Vandenbroucke to anyone, particularly those looking to take the stress out of tax season.

I will start this review by saying that I am not one to leave bad reviews for honest, hardworking…read morepeople and businesses - however, this is a time that I am making an exception. I was referred to Michael Overmann by a friend of my Mother's after my Father passed unexpectedly. He had no written will, therefore we needed to open a probate account to manage & distribute his assets. We also needed to appoint an administrator of the estate, which ended up being me. Upon reaching out to Michael, he was very responsive and gave us the base amount of information that we needed to get started, but that's about where it starts and ends. My family and I were VERY clear from the start that we knew little to nothing about this process, and would need to be walked through step-by-step, which we were assured by Michael that this would happen. Any time that I called (and he actually picked up), we were rushed off the phone without clear answers, AND THEN subsequently charged for the call on our final ledger. After the initial opening of probate, we went legitimately several months, after attempting to reach his office to close the account, without hearing back. It took me writing an email through his free consultation form on his website to get a message back. Along with the above issues, there were 2-3 instances where he either sent mail to a wrong address, or failed to make corrections to addresses, thus delaying court dates. We were not charged for the extensions thankfully, but due to my aforementioned lack of experience in this area, this created a lot more unnecessary stress on my end. I didn't even hear from him once the probate account was open. I had to search on the court records page myself to find out - the same situation occurred closing the account, even after I requested to be informed of these changes. I don't know if it was just because he knew that we were blindly going to pay him anyways, or that my Father's estate wasn't very big, but throughout the entire process, Michael and his office could not have been more apathetic towards my family and our needs, during what has been clearly an emotionally draining time in our lives. Again, I do not condone ruining business' ratings on Google/Yelp/etc, but I feel that my experience with Michael Overmann warranted this 1 star review. DO NOT hire Overmann Law to handle your estate or probate account. He may be better in other areas, or if you are richer than my family, but his work is not up to par compared to other *honest* lawyers that I could have given my money to.
