Great Himalayan noodles tonight. The lamb was the best that I've ever had. Hands down. Very fresh, delicious tasting and tender. The noodles were balanced with nice portions of al dente vegetables, great flavor. I will have this again. I liked the papads too, but it was a small portion. Delicious fresh hot naan. I love this restaurant and it's quickly become one of my favorite in Sonoma County. The owners and employees are awesome, super nice, great service, great food. The Tikka Masala is REALLY GOOD. Love the Somosas, love the lentil soup. Really I have not tried a single thing here I haven't loved. I have food allergies and one thing I love is that everything here is homemade so they know all the ingredients. No store bought sauces or anything and I have never gotten sick from being exposed to the preservative I am allergic to when I eat here. I highly recommend this place. To be honest, I've never had Himalayan food before, but after visiting this place, I have to say I prefer it over regular Indian food BY FAR! I wish it were much closer to San Francisco so I could go more often! The servers were nice and were concerned as we were about getting enough heat from the heat lamps outside. While our waitress was not very helpful in choosing a dish, she was still very nice. I had a lamb kabob and I don't remember my boyfriend's dish (maybe the palak paneer?) and I was so impressed by the balance of flavor. I admit I'm a wimp when it comes to the heat of spices and I don't like it when the heat covers the flavor of the rest of the dish, but the lamb was delicious and even my boyfriend's dish, which was too spicy for me to eat more than a couple of bites, was very flavorful. We also had the best vegetable samosas and tamarind sauce. MUCH better than I've ever had at any Indian restaurant. I wish we had had room to try more, but that was already very filling. read more

My BF and I wanted something light and refreshing to share for lunch, and my dad suggested this cute, little place. He said the food was fantastic and, well, it definitely is! The food was fresh and flavorful. The vegan curry we ordered was flavorful but not too rich with the okra cooked to perfection. It was just the right amount of spicy (we got medium). Yeah, this is going down as a favorite. Having been enlightened to Yeti in Glen Ellen, I thought I'd found the only great Himalayan food around here. Wrong! I have the Lamb Mushroom plate with garlic Basic Naan and the Samosa Chaat and Dal. OMFG! I really don't want to talk this place up too much and screw myself out of a seat next time I'm there, but this is EXCELLENT Himalayan food. And the prices are exceptional. Went to lunch today at the Himalayan Restaurant on the Green in Windsor. The Chicken Tikka Marsala was delicious. Their lunch menu also includes soup, salad and naan. Very nice meal for the price! I would have given 5 stars but service was painfully slow and it seemed like one person at our table always had to wait to get their plate. They couldn't se to serve the same course to all three of us at the same time. It looks like they might have new owner...new permit postings on the front windows. This was one of the worst restaurant experience for me. First it took them 20 minutes to even greet us. We were just about ready to leave when our server stopped us. When asked for suggestions, he barely acknowledged us and I felt neglected as a customer. Everything came in delayed and the food was bland and tasteless.
