Overall, I had a positive experience at this office. The front desk staff was friendly, and the provider was attentive, took the time to listen, and made me feel heard. I truly appreciated the care I received. The only feedback I'd like to share is regarding the medical assistant portion of my visit. While I was in the middle of providing my medical history, another staff member came into the room to ask about a coffee order. My medical history interview paused while they discussed it. I completely understand that healthcare workers order coffee and meals during busy days--I was a nurse myself, so I know that's normal. My concern wasn't that they were ordering coffee, but that the conversation happened during an active patient interview. I share this only as constructive feedback because, if I were managing a practice, I would want to know about moments like this. Medical history is an important part of a patient's visit, and having the staff's full attention during that time helps patients feel heard and valued. Other than that, my experience was very positive, and I would return to this practice. read more

Unfortunately, there were quite a few things that disappointed me about this visit. I can go into greater detail, but in essence, I felt completely ignored by this practice. The front desk makes minimal eye contact, both when you're coming and going. Also, as somebody who is also in the healthcare field, it's frustrating when the front desk staff doesn't use complete sentences. Simply looking at their computer and saying " July 2nd?" does not specify anything that will elicit an answer from a patient. Furthermore, I waited in my exam room for 42 minutes. The doctor came in while I had six minutes left before I needed to go. I told her I was disappointed and felt that doing an entire intake and trying to explore my entire health history in six minutes, felt both inappropriate and like an unfair burden to me as I was there on time. Additionally, their entire patient portal system was down. She could not open a file for me, could not take notes, and could not put any recommendations for follow up care in. I left there without receiving a service, with no follow up plan, and even after being there for an entire hour, their system was still down and thus could not officially be "checked out." It took a lot for me to get to that appointment. I rearranged my own private practice, had all of my children babysat by somebody, and went there only to waste over an hour of my time and be no further along in my healthcare journey. Truly disappointing. Additionally, we simply have no idea what people are going through. It could take somebody all the courage in the world to step foot into a doctor's office and to be left alone in a room for 45 minutes without any communication is jarring. read more

Avoid this clinic at all costs. They mislabel insurance paperwork to justify charging more -- and when questioned, staff hide behind "policy" rather than correcting clear errors. I was denied care because I refused to pay inflated, misclassified charges that my insurer confirmed were incorrect. This isn't patient care -- it's profit extraction. Their policies increase costs for both patients and insurers while violating the trust that's supposed to define medical ethics. Dr. Patel, you should be ashamed. This behavior betrays the spirit of the Hippocratic oath. Patients deserve honesty, not billing manipulation. read more

I enjoy using Hillside Primary Care, Cibolo for my medical care. The staff have been professional and enthusiastic during each visit. They had to re-schedule me due to an unexpected event and were able to see me next day. In my opinion, the level of care is top notch. Each time I have inquired about various medications etc..I received a detailed explanation. The Providers are very easy to talk to and are receptive to my concerns and courses of action for future care. Thank You! read more

Nurse's were fantastic. Friendly and funny. Took extra long due to some internet issues but they manage. Was surprised as my apt with the "doc" was actually a NP but she was good. only reason not 5 stars is they nickel and dimed me for everything. Last annual physical I went to with labs was completely covered at another office. I ended up paying $200 out of pocket With insurance. read more

The experience I had at your clinic is outstanding I have never been treated that way I do not go to see a doctor but the times I have it's just simple everything normal I am a very emotional person your nurses your recipients your doctor they all almost brought me to tears they were a few people around and I felt like I was the only one there because their attention was all focus on me and my husband was with me with his appointment and he felt the same way we were amazed please do not change please let your people know that they are doing a great job for them never to stop doing that if I was sick that's the kind of treatment I would like them to treat me but I wasn't sick and they treated me very gently with very kind words and the most thing that I admired about them besides everything else is that they were not slow everything was speedy Gonzales thank you very much I had a great experience and I pray that it continues to be like that for the rest of the time that I'm there with you guys read more

Dr. Marcum was kind, polite, and very professional. As a new a new patient, the check-in took a little bit of time; however, it was very straightforward and easy to fill out and complete. I would certainly suggest Hillside Primary care of your looking for a primary care physician. The check-out was extremely fast and quick; they even helped me to remember my next appointment with them by writing a note for me so I don't forget the date or time after said appt. P.S. If you were to call and schedule for an appt. they probably be able to get you in pretty quick; I called and had my appointment scheduled and ready to go in less than 10 minutes - BTW they're currently a new office in Cibolo, Tx. They also have a 'sister' office right around schertz parkway. You won't regret this choice. If I could I'd give 7 STARS. read more
