So when I moved to the area I was looking for a new pcp. I had decided to come here because I saw Dr.Ozowulu had 5 stars and to be honest I don't know why. The ladies in front desk is a hit or miss sometimes they're nice and others you could tell hate being there. Dr.Ozowulu is a doctor that blames everything on your weight but the worse part he gives you medicine without really telling you what you have. In the summer I had gotten to him because I had boils and he said I get them because I am fat but turns out I have a skin condition but after that he gave me an antibiotic for a month to see if it helps next thing you know after a month I get sick and it turns out I had an acute kidney failure from that medicine. But before I went to hospital I saw him and told him I was sick for 4 days throwing up and chills and not feeling good he didn't know what I had gave me more medicine without explanation and said see me in a week. Then as soon I took it I got lower back pain and turns out it was my kidney injury. I decided to change pcp and boy is it night an day with my new one. Turns out this whole time I had a autoimmune disease I never knew. I am down 53 pounds and my health is improving. If yall need a great pcp well comprehensive primary care ain't it. read more

Dr. Uzowulu practices medicine with his heart. He has a breadth of medical knowledge that surpasses most doctors I have encountered, and I am a physician assistant (PA). I would trust him with any member of my family, and I know he would work my children in to be seen if emergent. He treats the patient as an individual and not a condition or diagnosis. He believes in preventive maintenance (preventing disease before it occurs) and delivers excellent patient education. His staff have a family atmosphere, and I have always felt welcome. As an established patient, when he discovered that I retired and now with Medicare Part B and BCBS he terminated me as a patient, which forced me to look for a new Primary Doctor, He also said my insurance didn't pay for services rendered, so I paid the bill . Then I received the statement from BCBS that they paid this Doctor, I contacted the office to be refunded my monies that I paid. I chose this office because of the reviews. The staff and doctore were very friendly. After the doctor finished his initial exam, he asked me is I had any questions. As I was mentioning some recent symptoms, he was packing up and opened the door to leave (privacy is now gone). Went here for simple test. Was then told I would need additional test even though my initial test showed nothing wrong. Long story short and to not get anyone in trouble I was basically told and felt like they were going to run every test possible to get as much money out of me and my insurance as they could. DO NOT GO HERE. Avoid at all cost if you value your health, well beingand finances My initial review was short and left out details because I don't like to leave bad reviews and possibly harm someones business. I did leave a short review because this is a doctor and had all 5 star reviews, which is why we went here, so I hoped maybe this review would make people look into the business a little more 1st. We have since heard other horror stories about this place. This review is for my spouse. She had just given birth via c section and was having some strange pain. She contacted the OBGYN but it was after hours so they advised her to go to the ER or 24 hour walk in and get blood and urine test to make sure there weren't any infections. Got the test done and showed nothing wrong. They advised that her doctor may have done the c section wrong and wanted to do more test. She was breast feeding and asked if the additional test were safe for breast feeding. The doctor left and when he came back said he googled it and it was safe for breast feeding. Yes, he said he googled it! With this I told her to leave because that was the craziest thing I have ever heard from a doctor. After research and contacting her OBGYN the test they were gonna do is NOT safe for breast feeding. I have no idea if this Doctor is still there and I will never know because I'm not going back. I can't believe 1. They would talk bad about another Doctor who has delivered thousands of babies saying he may have done the procedure wrong. 2. After talking bad about another doctor have the courage to say they googled something regarding the safety of a 1 week old infant. If they take the health of an infant this lackadaisical what does that say about how they treat everyone else. read more

To say that Dr. Uzowulu saved my life is no exaggeration. Before coming under the care of Dr. Uzowulu, I had seen two other physicians over a four week period who continually missed my pneumonia, mono, and incorrectly treated my strep throat. It was not until Dr. Uzowulu that I was x-rayed to check for pneumonia. At my one week follow up with Dr. Uzowulu, I had to be hospitalized in an effort to help me recover. Dr. Uzowulu maintained contact with me through the duration of my hospital stay at North Central Baptist, where he used to work as a hospitalist, and truly made me feel as if I had a physician continually in my corner. He insured that I received the best treatment possible, and was incremental in my recovery. His office has steadily kept in contact with my following my discharge from the hospital, and I will be seeing him again this next week to follow up. If you are looking for a doctor who is thorough, kind, patient, and knowledgable, you need not look any farther. I could not want for a better doctor, and I am very fortunate to have found such an excellent provider! Bonus knowledge: while hospitalized, of the 7 nurses I encountered, all of them knew Dr. Uzowulu from his time at the hospital, and all of them spoke so incredibly highly of him! Just moved to San Antonio and trying to establish a new primary care doctor. Not knowing anyone to recommend their doctor, I turned to the internet. After searching and reading reviews on multiple places, I found this place. WoW lots of happy people and the occasional bad review (what place doesn't have a bad review)? I was early, had all my paper work filled out and ready to go. I get called back and the assistants do the normal weight, height and blood pressure checks. The assistant has a couple questions about my meds and how often and the doses of each. A couple minutes go by and the doctor comes in and asks what I'm doing there? I'm here to establish a primary care doctor who can prescribe my meds since my doctors in Colorado no longer can. The doctor looks at me and says he won't prescribe my meds or establish primary care. Well, ok then. I ask if he could recommend a doctor. He says, you found me online, look there! The only reason I gave them 2 stars, they didn't charge me for the waste of my time. read more
