Bought a used Honda Passport and they had been helpful during the sales process for the most part. But I soon realized after I bought the car that there that I needed to refer to the manual for an issue. I soon found out that they provided no manual which cheap. I asked for one to be send and they said I could print off of the internet. I tried to get in touch with Sales Rep Ken, the Used car Sales Manager Mike Robitaille and the General Manager Petito. Used car voice mail was full and could not leave a message. Sales just stopped responding and never hear from the GM either. SO they clearly dont care about customers after a sale has been made. I sent a message specifically asking them to set me up with someone who understands Special Endorsement and I went all the way out there and wasted my whole day only to be setup with people who had no clue what I was presenting and told me I had a belief system, but what I presented is actual financial law, I was met with arrogance and ignorance. I would never go back here just on the basis of them setting up an appointment with me with no intention of actually honoring my time. I arrived here with an intention to lease a specific car. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by friendly sales reps. I immediately recognized my dream car in the showroom. I honestly felt at ease from the moment I walked in here because the music was not blaring and everybody wore professional attires. The overall ambiance was nice, clean and organized. We met Jamel Hinds (Sales Executive) who helped us find a reasonable lease deal. He was professional, courteous and amazing to work with. No small talk about our personal lives, just down to business which we loved. The finance manager Ali was also friendly and easy to work with. They have a waiting room with coffee, water, charging station, comfy sofas and a small play section for children. For the past 10 years I have been leasing cars from Honda, and with the last deal that I made in Jan, 2025, they screwed me out of $1500. When I found out it, I went back to Honda & went through some trouble & headaches with Honda Management, on Hillside Avenue, Queens, NY in order to get back the $1500 that they overcharged me. In the end Honda refunded the $1500 that they tried to screw me out of. I am sure that they are doing this to every customer. Please review all that they are charging you and make sure they don't sell you addition protections that you really don't need. read more

As a very excited and anxious teenager ready to buy his first car, I had many questions when coming into Hillside Honda. I found the listing for my desired vehicle on their certified pre-owned website, and came in the same day for a test drive appointment. I was warmly greeted by a young man, Saha, where we immediately began looking at the vehicle. Initially, there were some complications with finding its keys, but Saha allowed me to sit inside this already-unlocked vehicle and look around while he searched for these keys. After this was resolved, I drove the vehicle around some local roads, then Saha and I discussed an approximate price for this vehicle back in the office. He was always considerate and thoughtful in the way he answered my questions, making sure there was no confusion. After this, I returned home with some paperwork stating the estimated cost of the vehicle, to discuss with my family. The next morning, I returned to Hillside Honda with my mother. Despite the test drive feeling seamless and Honda's 112-point inspection being completed, we still wanted to take this car to a local mechanic, to make sure there were no hidden issues. Upon arrival, Saha drove us to the mechanic, who caught two minor issues. After discussion with Saha, we drove back to the dealership. Saha took the vehicle to be serviced for these issues (free of charge), while my mom and I discussed warranty and protection plans for this vehicle with the sales manager, Mike. From the moment he greeted us, Mike was so kind and welcoming. He always made sure all our questions were thoughtfully answered, often explaining them through jokes. He made sure that we felt at peace of mind with our decision. Promptly after discussion with the sales manager, the vehicle was ready and all the issues were resolved. I took one final look-around the vehicle, and knew it was perfect for me. Saha took us back inside, where all the final paperwork was completed, and upon congratulating me, presented me with the owner's keys. I was over-the-moon excited, and still am, a few days later writing this review. A huge thank you goes to all the staff at Hillside Honda, especially Saha and Mike, I couldn't have asked for a more seamless and reassuring first car buying experience. If I could give this dealership a negative number I would. I have been purchasing automobiles in New York State for over 40 years and this is hands-down, the single, most unpleasant, shady ,suspect transaction I have ever witnessed or been a part of in my entire car buying lifetime.! I purchased or attempted to purchase a vehicle on Honda to go through the companies website for a vehicle that they were offering and are currently still offering for sale only to find out that they had no such vehicle in stock and had no intention of ever honoring the deal in the first place, classic bait, and switch tactic. I was transferred, hung up on disrespected and flat out lied to. I tried to reason with the dealer to no avail. No one in the operation was willing to take ownership of the debacle that this transaction had morphed into.. Carlos the self proclaimed sales manager didn't even know what his inventory is. I've twice called and reached out to the general manager Peter, who obviously has no interest in helping a customer because he has yet to return my phone calls. My best advice is stay as far away from this this place as you possibly can. There is zero customer service and nothing but an apathetic, I could care less attitude from every single person that I spoke to on the phone. Pete, I will be notifying the New York State Attorney General's office and filing a consumer fraud complaint. I will also be notifying the Honda motor corporation and filing a complaint against the dealership.with I contacted Costco as well as it is part of their Costco auto program in short, there is not one single professional person employed in this establishment, and I'm pretty sure I can include the general manager in that statement as well. How about paying attention to older women who have gray hair when they walk into the establishment. I walked into the establishment and 2 men were standing around talking at the counter at the rear of the store. I was with a friend of mine, looking to buy a vehicle. The men just looked up, looked at us and looked away and continued their conversation with ABSOLUTELY NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WHATSOEVER. I literally stood in the middle of the floor and counted slowly backwards from 10 and they continued their conversation with each other without ever looking up again, so I ultimately turned around and walked out. They were quite rude, and so they never have to worry about me darkening their door again. Just because women are older, are of color and have gray hair does not mean that they don't have money. In fact, I happen to know a lot about cars because I spent quite a bit of my career working in the BDC for Service at a dealership for another auto maker. Someone had suggested that I look at the Honda CRV but if I do look at that Honda CRV will not be at this dealership! I'll stick with Toyota since it's only a block away or Kia which is 2 blocks away!!! read more

They could never fix a brake problem even though I bought the car new there, something is rolled around in my engine since I bought it, they could never discover it, They are never able to really fix a problem. This place is a disorganized zoo. They overbook appointments and at the end of the day there are 5+ people getting told their car is not ready. I took it in for recall work at 8am and it was not ready by 6:30. After calling numerous times during the day, and being told it would be ready. Another lost day of work and $$$ for cab fare to get there. They also clearly and visibly did not do some of the work they said they did. The staff are rude and incompetent . It is impossible to get in touch by phone. 30 mi wait times, you get transferred and dropped. If you reach a voice mail it is not set up or full. Nobody ever gets back to you. The work is sub par and I have to have my own mechanic follow up on some things. Now it won't be ready today either read more

They need professional people to do the repairs. The first time, I couldn't leave too far of my car because all the windows were automatically opened even top windows.and the day before I took it to repair, it rained heavily and the car got water. I didn't listen to my friend, and I went to fix it when it dried. He was afraid that Honda would blame the car for this. So in the end, he was right, and Honda kept blaming me and saying that my car was soaked in water and didn't give a warranty. I need to pay more than 3,000. After dragging me for a week, we decided not to repair it in it, we stopped repairing, and they still took me $375.Aall right. I suffered a dumb loss. Even if I have videos and so on as credentials. But they're really shameless. Connected to pit us. Maybe it was because they know they couldn't fried any oil from us ,so we finally drove home and the car was fine. It's a really bad honda service .Not to mention that the person is ugly, he has a black face all the time. Never smile .The manager was laughing. But it's a smiling tiger. I leased a Honda HRV-LX 2021, within 10 months all the lights on the dash including the red brake sign came on. The car manual showed the signs as dangerous alert, the car shouldn't be driven and immediately took it to the Hillside Service. After one day i was called to pick up the car and told that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, except that it was a glitch of this model. within a month, those lights came on and on again and the last time the engine even jumped while starting the car. This is really scary and unsafe. I called maintenance and they couldn't provide a reasonable answer ,except they are just mechanics ,not engineers .My next step would be contacting consumer affairs ,I feel paying monthly fee for a USELESS CAR ! Do not buy any warranties from them while purchasing your vehicle. I finished paying off my car in two years and within a week I had my first nail in a tire. Thinking they would cover me, they had altogether refused to give me the warranty information paperwork itself, let alone honor it. I paid so much extra money for a warranty that would never be honored. I even just asked for it to be emailed to me several times to read it over myself (still have the receipts) to no response from them. Buying a car at Hillside Honda may be easy but coming in for maintenance or upkeep of your car here is a waste of time. If I could give no stars, I would. To begin, you can not even call the service department with out being placed on hold for 20 minutes or more. As soon as you answer the phone, the receptionist does not even have the coretesey to say hello, just "hold please" and you will be placed on the longest wait of your life. This creates a serious issue when trying to begin service because of this hassle. The only effective way to speak with someone is literally having to come into the service department and insisting on speaking directly with one of the reps there, so much for quarantining huh. When having a service done....... though buying my car here came with tire warranty, boy does Hillside Honda send you through the hoops to fix one. My car has been WAITING FOR 2 WEEKS for them to fix a tire. When I finally took the car in, I was told I could only pay cash for whatever reason. Come to find out, by the time I left the service department and and got on the road, the tire was not truly fixed and became a flat again. If this was not frustrating enough, when I attempted to put on my spare tire once again, I was not able to take the bad tire off because HILLSIDE HONDA STOLE ONE OF MY WHEEL LOCKS. I was stranded!! I really loved my car buying experience with Hillside Honda but after my dealings with the service department, I literally hate my Accord now and am looking to just sell it at this point to avoid future hassles with this place.
