During a "routine cleaning," my general dentist saw symptoms of an abscessed tooth, and referred me to Endodontic Excellence. They were able to get me on their schedule quickly for a consultation. I did have some initial confusion where I thought it was a one day thing, but that was because my general dentist incorrectly told me this. I thankfully was not in pain with my abscess, and I think that is why my procedure was not same day. I understand needing to reserve opening for true emergencies. Dr. Wang did my root canal (a first for me), and Alexa was her wonderful assistant. Alexa and I talked a bit before the procedure, which relaxed me. I was offered headphones to listen to music versus dental equipment, but declined them as I wear hearing aids and headphones will cause them to squeal. Honestly, I enjoyed listening to Dr. Wang and Alexa throughout the procedure. They have a wonderful, respectful relationship with each other, and the procedure when very smooth. I also was amused by Alexa telling Dr. Wang all the pop culture updates. I believe having a great rapport with the staff is the sign of an excellent physician. I have taken him to five over the years and Dr. Brown's office is the only one we feel completely comfortable with. We had actually been referred to him once a few years ago to fix a root canal and both the visit and follow up had gone smoothly. Everything about the office was great- décor, staff, wait, level of expertise. In December 2014 when everyone is booked because they are using up their insurance, my husband had a frightening medical emergency. He had cellulitis which I had never even heard of before and was turned out by our dentist office at the time without medication or referral, despite the disturbing amount of swelling he was experiencing. Despite being booked, that information really concerned Terrie who fit us in for a consultation that turned into immediate emergency treatment. They literally saved my husband's life. As someone who appreciates a good or humorous exaggeration, this is not even slightly untrue. Saving a life deserves more than 5 stars. This same emergency led to some later visits and procedures over the course of a year so this review is based on about 8-10 visits ranging from follow ups to procedures. Dr. Brown's office had no problems with me sitting in on the appointments which gave me first hand knowledge of how they treat their patients and the technology and techniques used. I mentioned previously having to redo the work of other doctors. An example of this is that my husband has longer than normal roots so other doctors basically guessed on the fill, did not fill them completely or fully check for that on the x rays. These gaps in roots or incorrectly set crowns lead to future infections. I have witnessed on every visit that Dr. Brown triple checks the root length and his work in general and does multiple x rays to ensure the root is completely filled before patching the tooth back up. The extra time he spends checking his work will save you multiple visits and money in the future. I have never met a more personable specialist that is a great communicator, able to explain procedures in a way to make sense, gives all options (not just the expensive ones) and has the most perfect staff in the world. Terrie isn't just fantastic at her job and running that office, she recognizes you and remembers key details that make you feel more than just some number, unlike every other place we have gone. She is knowledgeable and makes dealing with insurance companies or pharmacies so much easier. I have never met a single soul there that didn't care or didn't talk about how much better it was to work for that doctor than another one. No one wants to have to see any type of dental specialist but if you have to, you must see this one. This office is the only one I trust and the only time I have been happy to recommend anything related to dental work! :)

After going through all the paperwork, the large fee was only disclosed at the very end, which is completely unacceptable. When I addressed it, the manager argued and claimed their staff always discloses fees. That simply didn't happen. It became my word against theirs. I was told this would be a consultation to discuss the cost of a procedure--not an unexpected charge for services I didn't clearly agree to. Very misleading and disappointing experience.
