The first time I saw Dr Alhadef was a few years ago. I had a pain in my jaw and 3 missing teeth. He came up with a treatment, and told me I had to have my missing teeth fixed first (because that's what was causing my TMJ). And then I had to wear a special retainer for my TMJ, and then braces.
He put in 2 implants. One of the implants he did failed (don't expect to get a refund). He put a crown on the other implant, but unfortunately it sits lower than my other teeth and you can see the metal post. The gum is very thin around it. Not only does it look ugly, but it's also like a "cave" and food gets stuck in it badly and it's hard to get it out. I had to have my other implant done by a specialist. But then Dr. Alhadef changed his mind and the treatment plan (without any explanation) and, said I was ready for the braces. Unfortunately, I had invested money in the implant and had to wait for a long time to continue the treatment.
The day he took my braces off I asked him a couple questions about the retainers and if there were any other options, but he told his assistant I was asking too many questions and I needed another appointment for that. There was no other appointment and I never had my questions answered.
As far as my third missing tooth, after moving my teeth with the braces there was not enough space left for a normal size molar. The implant had to be smaller and the crown is twice smaller than my other molar teeth, and it looks very odd.
After this long process ( at least 3 years) , I was still hitting hard on the back of my teeth (left side) and the the implant with the crown(the one that he did on the right side). He adjusted the left side and said he would do more adjustments if I needed. My right side was hurting a lot , but when I came for an appointment to have it adjusted (as he said he would), he didn't even bother to see me. His assistant said I had to continue my treatment and pay for more procedures (cleaning, monitoring my bite....).
It was very confusing because I did finish the treatment he had for me, that didn't help as I was told it would.
I have spent literally a fortune (we had to sell our house and move into a one bedroom apartment with 3 kids) to be able to have the treatment he said I needed.
And now after visiting 2 other dentists ( the x-rays and office visits we so much cheaper than Dr Alhadef wanted to charge me for "more treatment"), I found out that he did a horrible job. The last crown he put in has a gap and wasn't even placed correctly.
When you pay sooooo much money you expect the job to be done right, but now I have to deal with Dr. Alhadef's job that he did so poorly. read more
