Told us we can drop the price as many times as it takes to start there work. I felt like a sleazy used car salesman. Sedation Available *Flexible Payment Terms, CareCredit Accepted *Friendly, Concerned Knowledgeable Staff *State-of-the-art equipment *Veteran Friendly Services Received: *X-Rays (Multiple) *Consultation *Nitrous Oxide *Local Anesthetic *Deep Cleaning *Tooth Extraction Time Spent There: 3 hours (Outstanding.) Takeaway: Every person in this office cares about their patients. This was by far the best dental experience I've ever had! Kelly, the office manager, stated that they frequently see people who haven't been to the dentist for years, so don't let fear of shame, pain, or financial ramifications keep you from the best care that you need from an all-star staff! Detailed Walkthrough: I received two mailers in the mail from two different dental companies. I set them aside and intended on making an appointment eventually. Like most people, I've had a fair share of lousy experiences with cruddy dentists. Eventually came sooner than later when my crown popped off and the temporary cement from CVS (which over the past few years has been working relatively well) didn't work. After several attempts at getting the sucker back on, I reluctantly dragged myself to the computer at midnight and began looking at the mailers, Groupon, and Yelp. Initial Impression: I was shocked that every review on here had 5 stars. I mean this is a dentist's office. You mean to tell me not a single person had a gripe? That's so rare. I was optimistically skeptical. What Drew Me Here: 1) Free first examination and x-rays for new patients. 2) Availability. I logged in early Sunday morning and had 5 time slots to choose from for the emergency appointment, to include the very first of the morning! The Process: (For those of you who want to know what you're walking into, are on the fence about going back to the dentist after bad situations, or are a bored voyeur looking for a glimpse of a random Yelper's experience.) I entered into a very clean, comfortable, and welcoming waiting room I was promptly greeted by the receptionist, Crystal, and the office manager, Kelly. Crystal handed me the new patient forms. Kelly, Crystal and I chatted while I filled out the paperwork. They treated me more like a family member than just a client. Denise took me to the room and I put down my belongings. She lead me to a state of the art x-ray machine and took the first set of x-rays. Another set of x-rays were taken. She offered me water before the doctor came in. She, too, was very friendly and was good conversation. Dr. Haghi came in and we discussed the results of the treatment options and settled on a treatment plan. She listened to my concerns and didn't (like every dentist I've been to before) talk down to me or demand I do what she said because she was the expert. Crystal came back and discussed my treatment plan and the associated costs. She explained that I could apply for CareCredit (if my credit was good enough) and we discussed the different ways the payments could be broken up. I needed a deep cleaning and she allowed me to choose whether or not to break it up into two appointments or get it over with in one. I was grateful to have the option to get it over with in one pop. Denise came in and put a small mask over my nose to administer the nitrous oxide and gave me a blanket. (I don't care how old I get; if you offer me the comfort of a blanket, I will take it!) Kevin, the hygienist, was very attentive during the deep cleaning and was very careful not to hurt me. He allowed me breaks for enough time to cough (I'm a mouth breather who clearly thinks I'm part fish and that I'll do okay aspirating water. That folks, is 100% my fault and 0% Kevin's fault.) After the cleaning, he took more x-rays and showed me that he actually did get all the gunk out from under the gum line. He scheduled me for my free one month follow up, gave me my "goody bag" of dental items, educated me on how to better maintain my mouth at home, and suggested products that are conveniently sold there at the office for a very fair price. I opted to get a tooth extracted. Denise assisted Dr. Haghi in the process. I think the shots to help numb the area were worse than getting the tooth pulled. The tooth extraction took about five minutes. The doctor consulted me on what I normally take for pain; wrote a prescription for mouthwash, antibiotics, and my pain medication. Denise administered oxygen for five and I chilled out to the streaming music in the office. I went up front and paid. My ride hadn't gotten there. So I had a chat with Crystal and Kelly until my ride showed.

The doctor added some small type of composite on the tooth yet still left a gap in the tooth costing me $196. I wasn't happy with the look yet I didn't complain. Today I reached out to the office explaining another tooth that is now giving me tooth pain and asked for an antibiotic be prescribed for the infection. They refused to assist me saying I need to come in and let him take a look just to obviously get more money. They have my X-ray and I clearly explained the only one tooth it could be when they asked to count the tooth from the back! The sassy receptionist jumps on the line and asked the same question I had already provided and asked the name of the pharmacy. I gave pharmacy name and address yet she said to text her the number. Needless to say I will find another dentist that care more about patients than trying to get someone in to charge the insurance and myself out of pocket for something that clearly could be called in. The rep asked can I come in at 1. I explained I am currently at work and cannot leave and come in. They are a Rip off and would rather leave their patient in pain! This also by the way was my second time in the office so they have all my medical history and I've went through all exams!! The tooth clearly has infection or the tooth would not be hurting!!! I even explained I had not slept due to this tooth waking me through the night! Did they care? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

She warned me it could turn into serious pain soon, which it did. She measured me for a crown that same day and scheduled me for a root canal the next day. She explained everything clearly and made sure I understood the process. The root canal went smoothly, and she was able to fit me in quickly for the crown. The surgeon she referred me to was also very professional. Overall, it was a smooth and efficient process. Dr. Bhatty knows what she's doing and made it easy to get the care I needed. Highly recommend.

I tend to get very anxious beforehand, especially when something unexpected happens, but from the moment you walk in the door, the entire staff and doctors make you feel comfortable and at ease. They use the newest dental technology and are clearly committed to continuously educating their staff, which really adds to the level of care and confidence you feel as a patient. The compassion, professionalism, and follow-up are truly exceptional. I also want to give a special shout-out to one of their newer dental assistants, Aubrey. She was an absolute pleasure to spend several hours with today, and for the first time ever, I'm actually looking forward to my next visit. I can't recommend Mason Dental enough

Be very cautious - all about money, not the patient…read more I visited Mason Dental for a new patient exam after calling ahead and confirming that my insurance will most likely be covered. I was told that insurance would be verified and that they would submit everything for a coverage estimate prior to treatment. After my exam and X-rays, I was informed that I had periodontal disease and would need scaling and root planing. I was also told I had approximately nine cavities and was strongly encouraged to proceed with laser treatment that was not covered by insurance. At no point did I feel I was given clear, conservative options or a breakdown of urgency versus elective procedures. The initial visit resulted in a $200 charge, and I was quoted approximately $800 for the recommended deep cleaning. Because the diagnosis felt significant, I sought a second opinion as I've never had periodontal issues and receive regular cleanings (I worked in the dental industry for years). At another dental office, I was told that I do not have periodontal disease and do not need scaling and root planning cleanings. Their review of my X-rays showed no signs supporting that diagnosis, aside from two isolated pockets near areas where my wisdom teeth had previously been extracted. Then was informed I have two areas on my molars that needed very small fillings on the occlusal areas. They were shocked my Mason Dentals treatment plan! Based on this second opinion, I'm concerned about the difference in diagnoses and the treatment plan I was given. I would recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with Mason Dental.

I had originally done my consultation with Dr. Baugh, but on my second visit I wasn't told she had left and I'd be with a new dentist until I had already paid and was in the dental chair. Dr. Murad did successfully fill some cavities, but one of my teeth (which had no pain before the first visit) has been very painful while chewing and flossing ever since he worked on it. I came back for them to fix it, only to get poked and prodded for 20 minutes to "test the nerve" (which I had already told them was painful), completely redo the filling, and have all the pain come back when numbing wore off. I'm visiting another dentist for a second opinion, and have tried to contact The Lewisville Dentist multiple times over the past 2 weeks to try to process a refund on my remaining balance and to send my X-rays to me (they had to take so many when redoing the filling that now my insurance is concerned with covering more this year). While trying to contact them I was told that they needed to get more information and would call me back (they never did), when I called them back today, they left me on hold until their business had closed after I had told them I needed to speak with someone. I'll update with the second opinion, as well as when/if (emphasis on if) The Lewisville Dentist is able to return a customer's call, take actions to process requested refunds, or actually transfer requested medical information to their patients.
