I wanted to submit a review of an experience I just had with this office. I visited this office on this past Monday not even a week ago today, for a broken tooth. The doctor added some small type of composite on the tooth yet still left a gap in the tooth costing me $196. I wasn't happy with the look yet I didn't complain. Today I reached out to the office explaining another tooth that is now giving me tooth pain and asked for an antibiotic be prescribed for the infection. They refused to assist me saying I need to come in and let him take a look just to obviously get more money. They have my X-ray and I clearly explained the only one tooth it could be when they asked to count the tooth from the back! The sassy receptionist jumps on the line and asked the same question I had already provided and asked the name of the pharmacy. I gave pharmacy name and address yet she said to text her the number. Needless to say I will find another dentist that care more about patients than trying to get someone in to charge the insurance and myself out of pocket for something that clearly could be called in. The rep asked can I come in at 1. I explained I am currently at work and cannot leave and come in. They are a Rip off and would rather leave their patient in pain! This also by the way was my second time in the office so they have all my medical history and I've went through all exams!! The tooth clearly has infection or the tooth would not be hurting!!! I even explained I had not slept due to this tooth waking me through the night! Did they care? ABSOLUTELY NOT! read more

Dr. Madiha Bhatty was great. The front desk was helpful and kind, which made check-in easy. Dr. Bhatty was very thorough -- she took an x-ray, explained exactly what was wrong with my teeth, and even pointed out a toothache I already knew about. She warned me it could turn into serious pain soon, which it did. She measured me for a crown that same day and scheduled me for a root canal the next day. She explained everything clearly and made sure I understood the process. The root canal went smoothly, and she was able to fit me in quickly for the crown. The surgeon she referred me to was also very professional. Overall, it was a smooth and efficient process. Dr. Bhatty knows what she's doing and made it easy to get the care I needed. Scheduled a cleaning They quoted me on deep cleaning and laser bacteria removal. Told them I couldn't commit to paying the extras this time but would like you continue with my routine cleaning, they sent in 3 different people to convince me to pay $200 for "deeper cleaning" and "laser" told them I'd rather ramp up my hygiene at home and come in another scheduled appointment and be prepared to handle any out of pocket expense then. They refused to clean my teeth. I have been going there for 6 years, my history does not show concerning results. They could have cleaned my teeth... I think they have new management or something. I was VERY frustrated with Coppell Modern Dentistry for many reasons (and we are a family of 6 going there): 1. They like to make you wait forever. Two of my kids had over 2 hour appts. It was ridiculous. 2. They aren't honest with you. They quoted me around $100 for cleaning and exam with my discount card and then tried to charge my son $850 because they said he was having gum disease (at age 21) when he has gone to the dentist every six months his whole life. AND he just saw them in December and no signs of that were present then. 3. They told me I needed a root canal so I got a second opinion and that Dentist told me I definitely did NOT need a root canal. I would give 0 stars if that were an option read more

From the very first appointment this place was a disappointment. The staff at the front desk are missing from their desks, you have to literally walk back and grab their attention while they sit in the back room talking. They also labeled me as a periodontal patient, I'm clearly not. It took me seven months to fight that and it never got resolved. I do not recommend this place due to lack of communication, lack of professionalism, lack of detail to patient's requests & concerns. Hopefully getting our records and X-rays will not become an issue. The staff specifically the front reception are unwelcoming unfriendly and rude. read more

I called to cancel the cleaning for January ( because after my experiences with this office I have NO interest on ever coming back) and she cancelled ALL my appointments. I showed up the same day for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal and she had cancelled it and lied and said I told her to cancel all appointments. No apology had no interest in making it better. I had a big gap between my 2 front teeth that i've been self-conscious of most of my life. I had adult braces to try to address it but after 3 years and a couple more years with retainers, it didnt go away. that's because of my bite - it pushed the 2 front apart. I had given up hope but then I saw a youtube video where they used bonding to fill in the gap and correct the shape of the teeth as well. They were happy to do it. They were so nice and they walked me through the steps and the costs. They did the actual bonding in less than an hour and my gap was gone and it looked perfect! I knew it must have looked great because when they finished and before I got to see it in the mirror, the oral hygienist looked at it and literally gasped and then had the most amazing expression of excitement and awe. i am very upset to show up for my appointment to be told there was no appointment for me. I was able to show them the day I called to make the appointment and all the lady could say is I hear you but I. am make you a new appointment. I had to make arrangements to be at the appointment. Stopped going here a few years ago because they told me that my sinus cavity was an abscess and tried to pressure me into a root canal and crown on a perfectly healthy tooth. Now, the crown they did on me (one that was actually needed) popped off for the 2nd time, they won't replace it under the 5 year warranty because I haven't been coming in every 6 months for an inspection. I went here for a Dental cleaning and was so disappointed snd disgusted! First I went to the restroom and the floor was so dirty and filthy I dropped a paper towel and it turned brown when I rubbed it on the floor. I could tell the place was dirty and crusty all around. I proceeded with my teeth cleaning, BIG mistake. The hygienist placed the dental camera probe in my mouth without a disposable cover, groose! When I asked he said they clean the probe after each use, with a chemical, no doubt! Then they put it in your mouth, my mouth had a horrible taste and I was totally disgusted! The dentist came in the room and said because their other dentist had gone home sick, I would have to reschedule and come back for the actual cleaning. NO THANK YOU! I had a list to pick from and I simply picked this place because I liked their phone number LOL it was something about all the 3s & 9s that I felt good about... maybe that's just because I'm a numbers person, idk ‍ but any-who... I am SOOOOOO glad I called!!! I came in, got an X-ray, and immediately was met by the dentist, Winnie. She was so warm & welcoming, and had a smile on her face the whole time I was there. I felt at ease even though I didn't have any issues with my teeth. I almost didn't believe her when she said I didn't have any cavities because the place I had went to before her, said I had about 7.. and that was another thing that stood out to me- she was ABSOLUTELY HONEST! And we all know some dentists (among other professions) will try to get as much money out of you as they can by saying you need more work done than you actually do. Winnie and her team are not like that; they just want to fix the issues that need fixing, simple as that! Beyond a cleaning, I got a fluoride treatment that cost $28, helped me with my sensitivity issue, and that's all I needed. I truly believe that this place was God sent. From the moment I got on the phone with them, to the moment I got in my car afterwards, it was truly such an easy, calming, happy feeling. I absolutely wouldn't go anywhere else! This place is a scam! They have no respect for your time, your opinion, your care, and your money. To go into more detail about each. I had an appointment at 2pm and they didn't get me in until 2:45. That was just to start the whole dental process. I had to wait in the chair for 35 minutes before anyone talked to me. Then they had no respect to what I said I wanted out of the visit today. They told me I had to spend $900 on a full dental three stage process to heal my gingivitis. Which I am a college kid and can't afford (we also agreed to only a cleaning of only $90 before the appointment). When I told them I just came for the cleaning and can't afford that they refused my business and told me to leave and they can't do the cleaning for that much even though they said they would. I than went to another dentist the next day and they said my teeth are perfect and I don't need any three step process just a cleaning so they were just trying to scam me and get more money out of a poor college kid who doesn't know anything about teeth. Through the whole process they were rude, arrogant, disrespectful, and showed no compassion to me or my health. They just wanted my money! After a recent visit by my 15 yr old son and I for our routine cleaning and exam, we will never go back to this practice. I felt like the dentist I saw was pushing very hard for services that were very costly and not necessary. The most disturbing part was when the dentist who saw my son told me that he needed a root canal. This was bizarre to me since his check up 6 months earlier was fine. I am a religious patient when it comes to dental care and I never miss my routine check ups abs cleaning every 6 months. I moved from out of state and decided to get my routine cleaning at Coppell Modern Dentistry. The front desk staff were awesome but the clinical staff appeared money hungry. I had never been diagnosed with teeth grinding or gingival disease in all my dental visits but in less than 30mins at this office, I was slammed with an invoice for $1600 for periodontal type cleaning, crown, and night guard for the above diagnosis. I didn't want to hastily make that decision but rather asked for the regular cleaning. They refused to perform a routine cleaning for me because, per their review, I needed the periodontal cleaning. I found my new Dental home, this place is as good as it gets. For 39 bucks you get a newbie special x-ray exams, cleaning a full photo shoot of your grill. I'm still waiting for Christian to tag my photos in Facebook! No worries they would never do that but it was funny laughing about it. The Dr is very friendly spent a lot of time with me and was very informative about my dental needs. Our family is pretty diverse so she made each and every one of us feel at home & related with us on a personal level. I was super impressed with my youngest who is new to the whole dental scene. She behaved better then me. I believe it had to do with the proffesionalism & care from the staff & doctor They are pretty techy they email you your appointment reminder, they call & I dig that with my busy lifestyle I tend to get side tracked & forget. You can also fill out your paper work @ home via computer in your comfy pj's at your leisure. That was a plus! My idea of going to the dentist is just blah, but not here. They have free Coffee, snacks, & the ladies up front are fun to chit chat with. The last dentist I went to told me I had 6 cavities and wanted to do nothing but charge me money and drill my mouth. That had kept me away from dentists for awhile. I went into CMD for a cracked tooth and they saw me immediately even though I wasn't a patient. They fixed me up immediately and got me to a route canal specialist. Dr. Guo was and has been my dentist since that day. He has done several procedures to fix my teeth and restore them since I had been procrastinating. I think he is the best dentist I have ever dealt with. He always takes the time to explain things and show me on the x-rays what is going on and why it is happening and what will happen if it is not corrected. He makes sure I am fully informed before o make a decision. He has steered me away from unnecessary costs and has also repaired and replaced some things free of charge. If there is ever a mistake by them, they take full responsibility and it is taken care of. I can't speak for all the dentists there. But I can say that this kind of honesty and up front demeanor is rare in the dental business. I would refer anyone to him and they have made it easy to goto the dentist where as I used to do anything to put it off. I got 6 crowns implanted last December in 2022. Since then I have been trying to reach out to this office to schedule follow-up appointment. ;Left messages on patient portal and with front desk with no response from anyone. I have been having some sensitivity issues with my crowns which hasn't resolved in more than 5-6 weeks post implantation. But nobody has reached back to me yet. Very frustrating. They give patients unnecessary advices and take money. Then nobody bothers to listen to patient complaints. I spent $9000 cash on these stupid crowns. I see the replies to the bad reviews in Google to call them and let them know how to improve their service. The problem is they never answer the phone because they are busy helping other patients, and they never return your call, even when they said they will. I have been trying to get a refund for a crown replacement I paid ahead before they found out that the tooth needed to be extracted. However, they still billed the insurance company, and of course, it got rejected because there is no tooth. I paid additional $516 because I thought I owed them this amount, but I didn't, so they need to refund me. But because of clerical error, in their books I own them for a crown in a tooth it no longer exists. Even though, my medical history shows the extraction, they are billing me for an extra $1,214.00. They told me to ignore the bill, but they keep coming. When they actually take my call after the tenth attempt, they tell me "we are doing this and that", but I don't think they are actively doing something to fix this issue. I've been a patient at this office for almost 10 years and they are continually changing dentists and staff. I had appointments where I had to wait in the lobby for almost an hour and after the cleaning was done, I had to wait for additional 30 minutes so the doctor could see me off. I will not be coming back to this practice or any practice associated with Smile Generation. I think I will not be getting my refund any time soon or at all, so if you don't want to waste your money and time, go to another dentist office. After speaking with Alexis (office manager) today she insisted she kept me in the loop, but only after I sent her an email she didn't reply, and a few phone calls I made reminding her of the fact. After going over the details once again, they said, they just owned me $50 because their billing is so mess up, they continue to believe I got a crown in a tooth it was removed. STAY AWAY. After going in for a routine cleaning they recommended a crown for an old filling they say was too big to refill. After 7 separate visits, 3 supposedly permanent crowns, and 2 months of them messing with my molar putting temps and permanent crowns in and out, they still couldn't get a crown to fit. So much for same visit crowns they continuously advertise. I lost faith in the doctor/company and requested for my money back so I could go to another dentist to fix the problem. I had paid for the whole cost of the crown out of pocket and it now looks like it'll be another 3 weeks before I get reimbursed which is ridiculous. As a first time patient of this place, I had heard a good review of the general front desk via my husband who had to postpone his initial new patient visit due to a high blood pressure reading. To frame things, I had an appointment scheduled and called ahead after a family emergency happend and asked if I could be seen sooner. This possibly through the majority of the team off. X-rays went smoothly, then was given a gum treatment by the specialist. After explanations about numbers and some condescending conversation, I was given a sales pitch by both the dentist and the front desk in charge of finance. The procedure in question was a crown/potential root canal. I was given a salesy push towards a convenient early appointment to schedule the following day ($600+ for a procedure is a conversational discussion and plan, not to be taken lightly). The dentist was kind in speech, but her push towards the sale was off-putting and she seemed to be overexplaining the procedure nervously. During the cleaning, I got sprayed by the dentist herself. Mistakes happen, but it all just seemed to go south. However, before the dentist came in, the gum treatment specialist who remembered my husband, had made a very personal and unprofessional statement about my husband's high blood pressure reading "We wouldn't want him to have a heart attack or anything!" This was definitely the worst dental experience we've ever had and I will reserve further judgement and say: We will be looking for dental care elsewhere. First patients beware. read more

I have been a patient here for the better part of 15 years and have seen all levels of staff come and go. My most recent experience was having a crown reinstalled (it has since popped off again). Once wonderful and highly recommendable, it has gone straight downhill and lost me finally when, in excruciating pain, Dr. Yusufali refused (for the second time) any pain medication. She insisted the work shouldn't have caused me pain and I agree, but she is extremely rough and careless when working on your deadened mouth, as if you're a cadaver and aren't getting your feeling back upon completion of the work. She told me to instead go to the ER if it still hurt that night, the same advice she gave me before. She doesn't understand pain in others. I reported a previous experience with her and, for a while, another dentist worked on me. He was so rough that my entire jaw hurt daily for months, until my chiropractor (!!!!) was able to address that. I have had far more poor experiences and been mistreated by the professionals here enough to finally never go back. I really miss what this dentistry office used to be, but it's clear that I can't go back and expect to find any of what it was. read more

Finding a dentist is always a chore. I had a previous dentist that completely took advantage of me. They are a chain and I should have known I would just be a dollar sign to them. Luckily I found Coppell Modern Dentistry. To start, the online pre-registration is a life saver. I hate filling out forms and this saved me from all that first visit stress. I was greeted when I walked in and explained the services up front as well as what my insurance covered. I waited in the lobby about 10 minutes when an absolute ray of sunshine (Harper aka Lauren) took me back for my x-rays and prep. Absolute super star and exactly the type of person you need your clients meeting first. In the procedure room I met my dentist Yusufali. She was very professional and was easy to talk to. She listened to concerns and checked out items I wanted looked at. She knew the issue spot before it left my mouth. Very good at her job. Next the money person came to see me and walked me through cost and confirmed if I wanted to proceed and when. I got it done same day. I only had a previous cavity that was filled that seemed a little off and needed some attention and a regular cleaning. Services were done well and professionally. I used to love the dentist and I let one bad experience keep me away for 6 years. I'm glad I finally took the leap and landed at Coppell Modern Dentistry. So I'm a gross human being and I never found a new dentist after I moved to DFW about 4 years ago. You see, I grew up with an awesome and very honest, very Mormon dentist. I was convinced any dentist I found would try to scam me into getting excessive treatments. I FINALLY decided to stop being disgusting and go try to find a dentist and ended up at Coppell Modern Dentistry. Everyone here was super duper extra friendly and truly seemed interested in making sure I was comfortable. The dentist I saw was Dr. Parrot, who mentioned that I might want a nightguard (which is something I've had before so I didn't feel like it was too scamtastic) and was not at all aggressively trying to sell it. In fact, as soon as I said I wasn't interested right now, it wasn't brought up again. They also had all kind of fancy technology so it felt like the future in there. My dental hygienist worked really quickly and my teeth look all sparkling clean now. Lucky for me, still no cavities after all these years, so it was a relatively painless visit. One thing that could be improved on is I never received any kind of paperwork - everything is done online. So when I went home and tried to explain that I was getting some kind of laser cleaning to my husband, I had no idea what it was called. It also meant I couldn't Google it to get a better idea of what I had signed up for. I need things in writing, because even though I'm nodding my head while it's being explained, the information will definitely fall out of my brain as soon as I walk out the door. read more

I do not recommend this place. I had an awful experience here today. I've been here before but every time I come here there are new people. I decided to come back after some period of time for cleaning. They made me wait for 1 1/2 hours and then they also gave me a quote for a treatment which is $500 more than others. They didn't like it and then the hygienist Jessica spoke rudely to me and asked me to leave. She told me that I was rude to every body!! Really? Rude? Very unfortunate that I sent my daughter to this place! She actually left in more pain than when she arrived. They also pushed so hard for the most expensive and ineffective solution for her pain when another dentist (out of my insurance network) already told us the treatment Coppell Modern Dentistry wanted to try wouldn't work. I never write reviews but felt it was my civic duty to warn others to stay away unless you want to pay for procedures that will cost you the most ($1,700 difference) and leave you or your child in more pain than when you came (and that was just during the exam). read more

I have been a customer of this office for many years. Several months ago, I had scheduled an appointment for 11/11. When I arrived, the hygienist had been switched with no advance notice and no apology; my regular hygienist still works there but was not in the office that day, and they were not familiar with insurance coverage. Faith, the front desk staffer, was rude. I agree with other reviews on this site indicating that she has no previous customer-facing experience or customer service skills, nor does she appear to care about customers at all. In addition, my regular dentist was also out of the office, also without any notice prior to the appointment. Dr. Guo appears to be a sub from some other office; his customer service skills are also lacking. I will be moving my business to another dentist. read more

So happy that we found this office. My mother needed a root canal (unfortunately) but we were pleasantly surprised at how caring and smooth everything went! Dr Saji (sorry not sure of spelling) was very kind and friendly, and her endodontist was excellent- very caring and professional. We both especially appreciated Laura who coordinated everything for us, she worked hard for us to make this all happen. She has a special touch with people, dealing with sensitive things such as financial issues. So thank you Laura and the entire team! We felt cared for and we deeply appreciate it. As someone who has not had a good experience at the dentist in 5+ years i can truly say i am in love with this place. I had to unfortunately get some serious emergency work done and yet they were graceful discussing what needed to be done and the price and didn't overwhelm me with any other information just helped me with emergency at hand like i asked. They then helped me set up a plan moving forward including appointments to make sure i was taken care of properly this time. I would also like to add that i work full time and having a place open at 7am and get me in immediately was a relief. I truly can not recommend a better place. I've had two really bad experiences here. The first was about 4 years ago I let slide until it happened again. I have never had problems with the X-Ray machine or technicians in my life until here. The machine is outdated and 4 years ago, the woman who was initiating the x-rays kept beating my mouth up to get the insert in. I left in tears and bleeding gums. Again, never in my 35 years of having teeth and going to a dentist have I had this problem. Now to May 2017. I've gone back several times and the girl who did this to my mouth isn't there anymore and hadn't had problems until this past May. This newer girl, beat up my mouth and was forcing the imaging tool in my mouth so bad, I couldn't stop gagging and literally throw up came into my throat and my gums were bleeding. That night, I had to take a prescription pain pill that I had left over from a surgery to calm the pain it was so bad, just from a stupid X-Ray. I had to go back 2 weeks later to get my permanent crown put in. The SAME girl who tore up my mouth and jaw was the girl who waited on me. She tried to pull out the temporary crown for a brief second and I screamed it hurt so bad how hard she gripped it. So the Dr. immediately came in and numbed it. The doctor also SPECIFICALLY told this girl, wait 2-3 minutes and then try. Well, I waited. I waited. 10, 15, to 35 minutes later the girl is nowhere to be found and the numbness wore off without anyone checking in on me or knew I was in there. I got so angry because I have a job to go to, that I grabbed my purse and was walking out until another assistance saw me leaving and asked if everything was ok. I told her no that I was left in there for 35 minutes when I heard the doctor say 2-3 and the girl went MIA on me. So immediately, a new medical assistance came in and so did the Doctor, who had to give me ANOTHER shot just to numb my gum to remove the temporary crown and insert the permanent which took a whole probably 15 minutes. I was so annoyed by the customer service I was given, I emailed the office by a form on their website explaining what happened and guess what. I haven't received a phone call or email apologizing for any of this. It's been almost a month now and completely gone ignored.
