Fantastic dental office! Some dental offices make you feel like you've accidently stepped onto a car dealership lot with all kinds of sales pressure. Hillside Dental is not one of these dental practices. Everything about this practice is topnotch. From the comfortable reception area, friendly reception/office staff and the dentist and his team. Not once did I feel pressured into anything, and all of the recommendations have been excellent. Dental fillings were painless here and the rooms have a nice atrium type view of plants and a fountain. They also provided a free thermal bag with some goodies inside, and a nice card on my first visit. It's kind of like the treasure chest for adults. Highly recommend this dentist if you're in need of dental work. read more

Dentist was rude. Insulting. When I mentioned that I have to shop prices, he went on a rant about what could I know about all the different types of crown work that is done and then went through a tirade describing all the different types of crowns there are, etc. He basically read off a list of 14 different cases which I would know nothing about. The whole experience was so condescending and insensitive to my statement about price. And $79 to take 4 x-rays and nothing else was done. Can get a full set of x-rays and cleaning all over town for a new client for $99. read more

I had a small gap between a couple of my upper molars, which Dr. Wolf accurately assessed as a frequent point of food compaction. Dr. Wolf recommended that I have a crown specially designed and installed that would bridge the gap. On the day of my scheduled dental work I was fully informed of each step of the procedure, first by the Hygienist, and then by Dr. Wolf himself. The only pain I felt was that of the injection of an anesthetic, which was not bad at all. From there the procedure was fast and easy. Dr. Wolf is a great dentist, in the tradition of his predecessor, Dr. John Rosenberg. I highly recommend the eminently qualified professionals of Hillside Dental. read more

Dr Wolf and his staff were excellent, careful and considerate, very welcoming. Dr Wolf explained exam results thoroughly and provided a personal care plan. I am immune compromised and he and his staff were highly attentive to my particular needs. read more

Back when I lived in Tucson, I went here for a routine cleaning. Dr. Rosenberg recommended a LOT of additional work. He actually said this work needed to be done soon, or I'd have problems. I declined and went elsewhere. Turns out my teeth were fine. I did not need all the fillings replaced that he recommended. Saved myself thousands of dollars. read more

They gave a very thorough second opinion and detailed explanation of my problem which my first dentist neglected to do. However they agreed on the diagnosis but had slightly different treatment strategies. If my insurance participated I would hire him. read more

I have had a long history of trauma when it comes to dentists. Even thinking about going would send me into panic attacks. I knew I needed to go back after not having seen one in far too long, and I was scared and embarrassed. The folks over at Hillside have been so warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental. I started seeing them about a year ago. While my anxiety has been so high, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel calmer and safer for things as simple as a cleaning. Thanks to their kindness and understanding, I have maintained regular appointments, a healthy mouth, and have no intentions of stopping. If you struggle with dental anxiety, I highly recommend them! read more

We have been receiving dental care at Hillside for over 30 years & will miss Dr Rosenberg who has retired. The new Drs are very professional and friendly. The staff are very attentive and caring, they make the visit comfortable and easy. We would definitely recommend Hillside to care for your dental needs read more

Booked a general cleaning as a new patient- When I got there they wouldn't see me unless I got XRays done and acted as if it was a law that they needed to be done before they could do any procedure. Didn't end up following through and left. ... I ended up getting the cleaning done at 'Ideal Dental' and told them about it- they said they (Hillside) wanted me to get XRays done as it's more to bill and wasn't a requirement- Hence the negative review. read more

Just moved here and couldn't have asked for a better experience from a new Dentist. From the first time I called, through transferring my dental records, to the cleaning, it was above excellent. Dentist was nice and seemed to really know his shit. read more

I chose to go to Hillside Dental based on the rating and reviews here on Yelp, and because it's close to where I live. So it's also convenient for me. I am so happy that I found them! The staff, hygienists, and doctor are all fantastic. They are personable, friendly, very informative and caring. Cyndi was my hygienist. She was helpful, fun and funny, and informative. She was gentle on my gums, teeth and very thorough with my cleaning. She gave me advise, demonstrations, and easy tips to improve my flossing and brushing techniques. They also do in-house orthodontist treatment, which I will do at some point in the future to straighten out my smile a little (minor crowding, cosmetic purposes). Love em! read more

Best place to go to for dental care hands down! You are professionally greeted and then Ruby walks you through the payment process and then you are seen by professional staff and welcomed with goodies and I had such a hard time with my previous dentist sending X-ray results Ruby helped me and let me repeat them to just satisfy me not having to leave my appointment to go pay$25 for the X-rays. I got my teeth cleaned by Bridget and she was so nice and friendly. The dentist was amazing and super personable and helpful. Very thorough! Customer for life. read more

I never was able to say this before, but I actually look forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Rosenberg and his staff are skillful and very sensitive to patient needs. I used to be absolutely phobic - and I have the world's lowest threshold of pain - but they always take very good care of me, both as a patient and as a person. They excel at pain management, and are very good at explaining every stage of treatment and answering any questions that arise. Ruby, who handles the business end, and the dental hygienists are some of the loveliest people I've encountered in Tucson. And Dr. Rosenberg himself is never too busy to check in and make sure everything is going well, even a routine cleaning. read more

Always the kindest people and gentle with my teeth! Dr. Rosenberg is wonderful. Recently he chose to give me a filling on a tooth instead of a much more expensive crown, saying that hopefully the filling will prevent the need for a crown for another five years. I love that he is always honest, opting for choices that make the most sense for my teeth and my wallet. You will be treated kindly and fairly here. read more

Even though I've been with this dentist & team for a short time, I can truly say that this place knows how to be successful! I mean that thier customer service is superb! I really enjoy every expierience from the time I walk in and until the time I walk out! Thank you Dr. Rosenberg and your team for making me feel welcome, respected and appreciated! Just had my teeth cleaned, and it was a fantastic experience. Because of Covid-19, my appointment had to be rescheduled, but Hillside Dental couldn't get me in for months. I asked to be on a cancellation list, and got called within a week. The hygienist was thorough and professional as well as super efficient--I was out of there in about 35 minutes which made me so glad. I highly recommend Hillside Dental. read more

A newcomer to Tucson, I researched a number of dental offices located near my neighborhood, and selected Hillside Dental based on their website and patient reviews. I had my new-patient office visit today and was very impressed with the professional quality of the office staff. My new hygienist Cindy was more thorough and meticulous than my other previous hygienists. I was greeted and examined by Dr. Rosenberg, who provided a treatment plan going forward. I highly recommend Hillside Dental! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Rosenberg and the entire Hillside Dental team. The no pressure approach along with a thorough explanation of the 6 Month Smile process was wonderful. After deciding to move forward with the procedure, I was very pleased with having ongoing progress reports and "what to expect next" explained each visit. Everyone is warm, friendly, and sincere. So much so that I have decided to switch to Hillside Dental for all of my dental needs. My braces are off and my teeth look beautiful! Thank you Dr. Rosenberg and team. read more

I especially appreciate the seasoned professionalism of the hygienist, the doctor and the staff - knowing that I am always in good hands.

Excellent customer service, friendly staff and particular attention to the comfort of the patient. Very thorough.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. From the minute you arrive at this dental office you are greeted with a smile and treated with the utmost level of professionalism. The office is warm and friendly and makes you feel comfortable and cared about. I was in a car accident 40 years ago, in which I broke the windshield with my face and demolished 3 of my front teeth. Since then, I've had crowns, new crowns, root canals, gum disease, gum surgeries, and bone and skin grafts. My front teeth began to shift sideways due to the bone loss. I had huge gaps due to the receded gums through which I blew bubbles when I talked. I felt self-conscious, embarrassed, anxious and mortified every single day. And then I met Dr. Rosenberg, who gave me 6 gorgeous new crowns. They look totally natural in shape and color, and give me a much more youthful look than I ever had before! And the best part is that there are no more gaps in my gums! No more bubbles! No more hiding! No more stress and embarrassment! Dr. Rosenberg is an artist, and won't settle for anything less than perfection. I am forever grateful to Dr. Rosenberg for restoring my smile and self-confidence, and to his wonderful staff for making me feel so comfortable! Thank you so much! read more

After conducting much research on the pinhole gum surgery procedure, I decided to have Dr. Rosenberg perform the surgery, based on his certification and numerous times performing this relatively unknown procedure. I am a dental wimp and have a very low pain tolerance. The team's professionalism and compassion prompted me to go ahead and have it done. Dr. Rosenberg, Monica and Ruby made me feel at ease with minimal discomfort. I am one week into the 6-week process and am pleased with the results. I will be reporting on the entire process once complete to help others make this same decision on receding gum alternatives. Thank you Dr. Rosenberg and team for a job well done and for making me so comfortable. read more

This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a dental office. To be greeted with a welcome letter and an awesome insulted bag was incredible. The entire staff was so complimentary and really really nice. This will be the first time in my life that I have ever looked forward to my next visit. read more

Always a great experience - I feel the best dental office in Tucson!

Recently had an old crown replaced and it fits perfectly! The old one had a huge space between it and the next tooth that trapped food! The process was painless including the placement of the new crown without numbing and the tooth looks great! Dr. Rosenberg is a great experienced Dentist and I would highly recommend him and his hygienists, the entire staff is top notch! read more

I am so pleased with the results of my gum surgery procedure with Dr. Rosenberg and his staff. First of all, I had gone to another dentist here in Tucson and they had recommended extensive traditional gum surgery to fix my receding gums with a huge price tag not to mention weeks of recovery. I discovered that Dr. Rosenberg did the alternative gum surgery procedure which was 1/10 of the cost of traditional gum surgery and most importantly a whole lot less pain and recovery time. In fact, the next day I was not experiencing any pain or discomfort! I love my new smile!! read more

A friend recommended this dental office. Now, my whole family goes to see Dr. Rosenberg. We love him and his friendly staff. We never feel "pressured to have" any procedures. We have always received great service! read more

Dr. Rosenberg has taken care of all our dental needs for over 10 years! He has removed two of our children's wisdom teeth, filled only one cavity (because his sealants are so good) and hired an excellent staff for teeth cleaning. When he filled my son's cavity, my son didn't even realize he was done because he never felt the shot! I believe this is due to Dr. Rosenberg's patience and concern that his patients don't feel discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenberg. read more

I have been to many dentists because I have terrible teeth. I had so few upper teeth left and the few I did have, hurt. I was ready to take all my remaining messed up upper teeth out and get all implants. Dr Rosenberg gave me other options, explained them very well, and because I took his advice, I now have a great fully toothed smile and for 15000 less than I would have spent for the 4 post implants. I did research with other dentists and I am so glad I went with hillside dental because Dr Rosenberg is not only very practical, but he is very much a perfectionist. He would not let even the slightest of imperfections that he saw and i didn't in the teeth that were made go without correcting. He was very careful to not let me be in any pain, and even personally called later to make sure i was ok a few hours after my major appointment and made sure i had his emergency number just in case. I would highly recommended hillside dental. read more

As a family, we have been going to Dr. Rosenberg for well over five years. We are very fortunate to have found a dental practice where we know we are in such good hands for our dental care. Dr. Rosenberg is always very thorough in his examinations and always takes the time to explain all recommended procedures and gives us all our options and alternatives. He isn't just concerned about our dental health, but our pocketbook as well; which we really appreciate. We have always appreciated how all the staff at Hillside Dental make us feel as if we are part of their family. I love how they send me email and text reminders for all our upcoming visits. I'm not sure how it is possible, but every visit is painless; including the root canals!!! Even my kids don't mind going to the dentist!!! Hillside Dental truly gives us peace of mind in knowing that we are receiving the best dental care possible. We feel very blessed that we found Dr. Rosenberg. read more
