Fantastic dental office! Some dental offices make you feel like you've accidently stepped onto a car dealership lot with all kinds of sales pressure. Hillside Dental is not one of these dental practices. Everything about this practice is topnotch. From the comfortable reception area, friendly reception/office staff and the dentist and his team. Not once did I feel pressured into anything, and all of the recommendations have been excellent. Dental fillings were painless here and the rooms have a nice atrium type view of plants and a fountain. They also provided a free thermal bag with some goodies inside, and a nice card on my first visit. It's kind of like the treasure chest for adults. Dentist was rude. Insulting. When I mentioned that I have to shop prices, he went on a rant about what could I know about all the different types of crown work that is done and then went through a tirade describing all the different types of crowns there are, etc. He basically read off a list of 14 different cases which I would know nothing about. The whole experience was so condescending and insensitive to my statement about price. And $79 to take 4 x-rays and nothing else was done. Can get a full set of x-rays and cleaning all over town for a new client for $99. read more

I had a small gap between a couple of my upper molars, which Dr. Wolf accurately assessed as a frequent point of food compaction. Dr. Wolf recommended that I have a crown specially designed and installed that would bridge the gap. On the day of my scheduled dental work I was fully informed of each step of the procedure, first by the Hygienist, and then by Dr. Wolf himself. The only pain I felt was that of the injection of an anesthetic, which was not bad at all. From there the procedure was fast and easy. Dr. Wolf is a great dentist, in the tradition of his predecessor, Dr. John Rosenberg. I highly recommend the eminently qualified professionals of Hillside Dental. read more

They gave a very thorough second opinion and detailed explanation of my problem which my first dentist neglected to do. However they agreed on the diagnosis but had slightly different treatment strategies. If my insurance participated I would hire him. read more

Back when I lived in Tucson, I went here for a routine cleaning. Dr. Rosenberg recommended a LOT of additional work. He actually said this work needed to be done soon, or I'd have problems. I declined and went elsewhere. Turns out my teeth were fine. I did not need all the fillings replaced that he recommended. Saved myself thousands of dollars. read more

I have had a long history of trauma when it comes to dentists. Even thinking about going would send me into panic attacks. I knew I needed to go back after not having seen one in far too long, and I was scared and embarrassed. The folks over at Hillside have been so warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental. I started seeing them about a year ago. While my anxiety has been so high, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel calmer and safer for things as simple as a cleaning. Booked a general cleaning as a new patient- When I got there they wouldn't see me unless I got XRays done and acted as if it was a law that they needed to be done before they could do any procedure. Didn't end up following through and left. ... I ended up getting the cleaning done at 'Ideal Dental' and told them about it- they said they (Hillside) wanted me to get XRays done as it's more to bill and wasn't a requirement- Hence the negative review. read more

I chose to go to Hillside Dental based on the rating and reviews here on Yelp, and because it's close to where I live. So it's also convenient for me. I am so happy that I found them! The staff, hygienists, and doctor are all fantastic. They are personable, friendly, very informative and caring. Cyndi was my hygienist. She was helpful, fun and funny, and informative. She was gentle on my gums, teeth and very thorough with my cleaning. She gave me advise, demonstrations, and easy tips to improve my flossing and brushing techniques. They also do in-house orthodontist treatment, which I will do at some point in the future to straighten out my smile a little (minor crowding, cosmetic purposes). Love em! read more

Best place to go to for dental care hands down! You are professionally greeted and then Ruby walks you through the payment process and then you are seen by professional staff and welcomed with goodies and I had such a hard time with my previous dentist sending X-ray results Ruby helped me and let me repeat them to just satisfy me not having to leave my appointment to go pay$25 for the X-rays. I got my teeth cleaned by Bridget and she was so nice and friendly. The dentist was amazing and super personable and helpful. Very thorough! Customer for life. read more

I never was able to say this before, but I actually look forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Rosenberg and his staff are skillful and very sensitive to patient needs. I used to be absolutely phobic - and I have the world's lowest threshold of pain - but they always take very good care of me, both as a patient and as a person. They excel at pain management, and are very good at explaining every stage of treatment and answering any questions that arise. Ruby, who handles the business end, and the dental hygienists are some of the loveliest people I've encountered in Tucson. Just had my teeth cleaned, and it was a fantastic experience. Because of Covid-19, my appointment had to be rescheduled, but Hillside Dental couldn't get me in for months. I asked to be on a cancellation list, and got called within a week. I was in a car accident 40 years ago, in which I broke the windshield with my face and demolished 3 of my front teeth. I am so pleased with the results of my gum surgery procedure with Dr. Rosenberg and his staff. First of all, I had gone to another dentist here in Tucson and they had recommended extensive traditional gum surgery to fix my receding gums with a huge price tag not to mention weeks of recovery. I discovered that Dr. Rosenberg did the alternative gum surgery procedure which was 1/10 of the cost of traditional gum surgery and most importantly a whole lot less pain and recovery time. Dr. Rosenberg has taken care of all our dental needs for over 10 years! He has removed two of our children's wisdom teeth, filled only one cavity (because his sealants are so good) and hired an excellent staff for teeth cleaning. When he filled my son's cavity, my son didn't even realize he was done because he never felt the shot! I have been to many dentists because I have terrible teeth. I had so few upper teeth left and the few I did have, hurt. I was ready to take all my remaining messed up upper teeth out and get all implants. Dr Rosenberg gave me other options, explained them very well, and because I took his advice, I now have a great fully toothed smile and for 15000 less than I would have spent for the 4 post implants. I did research with other dentists and I am so glad I went with hillside dental because Dr Rosenberg is not only very practical, but he is very much a perfectionist. He would not let even the slightest of imperfections that he saw and i didn't in the teeth that were made go without correcting. He was very careful to not let me be in any pain, and even personally called later to make sure i was ok a few hours after my major appointment and made sure i had his emergency number just in case.
