Despite the difficult work Ames honored the quote. They did a good job on the hitch and wiring so I decided to get the U-haul trailer from them. They had the trailer ready on time and hooked it up for me. They even flipped the hitch for free so I had a few more inches of clearance. Since I was leaving town they could have screwed me but did not. They also do auto repair and I wish I had knew about them while living in Casper. Kent was great on the phone and gave us a number of a good towing service to get the vehicle to Ames. We are from Denver so rented a car to drive back to Denver since it was close to quitting time. Kent and his crew diagnosed and replaced the fuel pump. The price was fair and we traveled back to Casper to pick up the vehicle the next week when we had another service call in Casper. The vehicle was now in great running condition and we had an uneventful 300 mile test drive back to Denver. Highly recommend Ames Automotive!

We went to the 2 GM dealerships in town and they were only able to see me in 2-3 weeks, even though they knew we were 1200 miles from home. Their only recommendation was to go to the Toyota dealership across the street. We were lucky enough to find Dayton Transmission. We told Robert over the phone what our situation was and he told us to come in and see what he could do. Although he couldn't fix the problem he was able to do a transmission flush and change the filter which would at least help get us home. We asked him if there was anything near by where we could walk to eat or if there was a taxi service. He said there wasn't. Instead he did the most amazing thing ever and let us use his personal vehicle to drive to get lunch. Thank you so much Robert for being so kind and hospitable.

I was curious to compare the service costs of the two dealerships, so I called both for estimates on the same repairs. I thought Menholt was high, then I called Vista, their charges made Menholt look like a bargain! For example, on one repair there was a $400 difference. Yikes! I know who I'm giving my business to!!

From my very first inquiry, Tristin went above and beyond to help me assess and understand everything about the 2019 Toyota Tacoma I was interested in. I wasn't local and was actually 17 hours away from being able to see the truck in person, but that didn't stop him from providing incredible support. Tristin recorded at least five detailed videos of the truck, including one while it was on the lift. He carefully walked through each aspect of the vehicle, taking his time to explain what he was seeing and the video was super clear. He even pointed out small imperfections to make sure I had a complete and honest picture of the vehicle. I truly appreciated the thoroughness and transparency especially because of not being to be there, it's easier to coat things over... not once did I get the sense that he was doing that. I sent the videos to my mechanic and several others, they commented on how thorough Tristen was and just as important, how accurate he was. I had specific questions about how the truck handled with larger tires and the many enhancements it had, and Tristin didn't just offer general responses. He took the truck on the highway, tested it with the windows up and down, listened for any unusual sounds, and even tested the 4WD functionality with me on the phone. His knowledge about the upgrades and how they compared to other trucks in its class was impressive. I felt like I received a truly comprehensive assessment. Communication was also a strong point. Tristin stayed in touch through text, email, and phone, even during a very busy time at the dealership due to the start of tariff changes. I told him I needed an oil change and the Hyundai dealer recommended to change the drive belts. He said they were busy, but he'd squeeze me in since I was from out of town. He called me back in about an hour with an estimate. Although it seemed a little high, after explaining how he came up with it, I agreed. I took my vehicle in on Wed. Todd was nice enough to drive me back to the motel, and then when it was finished a few hours later, came and picked me up. The total was less because they didn't need to put in a full synthetic oil. I appreciated his honesty, getting me an appt. in spite of being busy, and going out of the way to take me to/from the motel and how fast they did the work. For these reasons, I would highly recommend Doyle Johnson's whether you live here or you're from out of town.

First, I have had my car professionally cleaned many times and this was by far the worst job I have…read moreever seen someone do. I scheduled an appointment for the premium service. We brought the car in as soon as they were open but by 5 pm it still wasn't done. We came back at 6 after they had technically closed and I couldn't believe what a horrible job they did, especially the outside. Half the car wasn't even washed let alone waxed but the worker talked to the owner and they didn't charge me for the exterior. But when I got my car home I realized what a bad job they did on the inside too. I waited to see if the owner would call me to try and remedy the situation but after a week or so I was forced to call him myself. He said that they would redo the job and even pick my car up and we scheduled another appointment for a week and half out. I thought well we'll see if he is an honorable businessman. But he flaked on me and never did the work. He did call me at the end of the day and give me some excuse but he only seems to have excuses and no solutions. When I was talking to one of the workers she told me that he routinely overbooks work so it's no surprise that they can't finish.
