This small business is well-managed and responsive to ur plumbing needs. Only used them twice with good results and competitive pricing.

Hillis used to come out to our old place in El Segundo on Palm Ave and was always so kind to us and especially to our dog . He always got the job done and was patient with us. We then had to change apartments after our old place got bulldozed , and now here I sit with a leaky faucet and oh I how I wish it was like old times and they sent Hillis . If you need a plumber , I highly suggest even though its been years ..... It was time for my positive review because I can't even get someone to call me back and Hillis would have been here , done, and fixed by now . read more

This company was amazing! They found a burst old pipe behind my fridge that was leaking all the way out the other side of the wall to the backyard . They were very experienced and quick to find the solution. Would 10/10 recommend them. Reasonable price too. read more

They are small business caters to the South Bay but incredibly skilled at what they do they are amazing plummers

The plumber who showed up was named John. I had a very tight window of time to be home and he said "I can make that work" He not only showed up on time but did the work in less than an hour. Cleaned everything up and went on his way. Super professional and kind. read more

I had a great experience with Hillis Plumbing. He got back to me right away and came out to fix my issue within hours. The price was also great and I will definitely use Hillis going forward. read more

Hills replaced a wall mounted bathtub faucet and had to install an access panel, tough job. Great work, good people and good value. Dave read more

We had two broken pipes underground between the water heater and the house. Tim came to do the inspection and was able to determine that in about 20-30 minutes of troubleshooting. He gave me a fair price estimate of what the work would cost and came to complete the job quickly and within two days and the final price was the original estimate. I will definitely call again if I am in need of a plumber again. Thank you Hillis Plumbing. read more

Tim and Sam are absolutely amazing and have always been very helpful. They have fixed a laundry leak and replaced a water heater so far, and we've also inquired about toilet clearing (although we ended up not needing it, thanks goodness). Their pricing is reasonable and they are very responsive. Our go-to plumber! read more

The guys at Hillis are great. We typically rely on them for our apartment which our property management company/landlord uses but I needed them for a property that my dad owns. They are always quick to respond and their pricing is fair and reasonable. Would recommend Hillis for any plumbing needs. read more

We had this guy snake out our drain after spending thousands on redoing the plumbing for our remodel. He said if it backed up again he would resnake it under warranty, which makes sense given how much business we have given him. Then less than a month later, it backed up again (not his fault) but instead of cleaning it out again under warranty he decided to breach the verbal contract, and verbally assaulted me via text. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a drinking or drug problem, seems very probable given the evidence. Avoid him at all costs. He charges premium prices for budget quality. I have attached screenshots of his unprofessional and inappropriate texts. He has already expressed regret and remorse for his actions, but I had to warn everyone. I heard there are lots of legal cases against him too. I would encourage everyone to find someone cheaper and better. Professionalism is important. read more

Hillis Plumbing - Tim Hillis needs to go to treatment. - Plumbing Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

My water heater sprung a leak and via a friend's recommendation I reached out to Tim on Saturday morning. He was at my house within an hour helping me clean up the mess, explaining to me exactly what happened, and advising me on what to do next. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, empathetic and professional. I reached out to him a few times over the next few days asking questions about a tankless versus a traditional tank water heater. He helped me make my decision and a few days later installed a top-of-the-line tankless water heater. Tim is great and I highly recommend him! read more

Hillis Plumbing - Tankless water heater - Plumbing Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

As a landlord, they responded to a call within 24 hours to help my tenant. Since I wasn't present at the time of their visit ( I was at work), I mailed a check for their work done on 1/8/21. The check was cashed on 1/21/21. On Sunday, 1/24/21, a man with long hair and goatee shows up on my doorstep, (MASKLESS in the height of COVID) yelling at husband "scumbag", "F---you," throws a piece of paper at him (the invoice with an orange post it note that says "the check was mailed on Monday"). We tried to call them to make them aware they cashed my check, and they refuse to answer their phone. Do you really want this person in your house? I'm concerned he will retaliate and now do something to my home. That's how this guy acted. read more

I've been using Hillis for 10 years now. Tim always remembers me but most importantly he quotes a fair price, for good work, with professionalism to back it up. They are also honest about ETAs. If they can be there quick and you give the go ahead they come quick. If they need a little extra time they tell you. Use these guys! read more

Amazing guy and company. The landlord ended up choosing a different plumber despite my thoughts on the matter and he didn't charge for the work he had already done and just said best of luck like a great guy. The landlord double checked his opinion and he was spot on. read more

Tim was referred by my neighbor after we had a disaster with a previous plumber. The guys came very quick and handled the job like complete pro's. Incredible customer service, highly recommend!! We had Sam come to our house to install a new sink faucet, fix the plumbing under the sink, as well as change out our shower fixture. Showed up within 15 minutes and fixed my issue! Can't beat that customer service :)

Definitely would recommend! Great work! They came in and did the work quickly and efficiently. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fair price. Cannot say enough good things about them. read more

Super prompt, professional and trustworthy. Really nice people too! We will use them again for sure!

We needed to update the filtration system for our tankless hot water system. Tim replaced some piping so the new filter would fit. It was not easy - when the house was built the pipes had been installed into a small cut-out section in the garage wall. Tim struggled in the tight space, did a great job, and smiled the whole time. And he charged a lot less than one of those companies with lots vans and neat uniforms. Highly recommended. read more

Willis, and the team are 5 star... I had a leak in my water heater tank, within the hour of a phone call, they were at my house to diagnose the issue... And by the next day, my new tankless water heater was FULLY INSTALLED!!! ... See the picture for the brilliant craftsmanship.... Also. Willis informed me about rebates for tankless. Above and beyond the call of duty! read more

My review is a few weeks overdue. Tim had to come out multiple times to fix several different plumbing issues in my condo unit. He truly is the best. I echo the reviews about the excellent work quality and his honesty. read more

I found Tim's information and accolades about his work in my neighborhood NextDoor app. True to the reviews, Tim was very responsive. He and his associate Mike reseated two toilets, put in two bathroom faucets, and put back sink in one of my vanities. They did excellent work and what I appreciated as much was the cleanliness with which they worked. During these covid times, it was extremely important! Pricing was very reasonable as well. Thanks, Tim! read more

Always super prompt and helpful. Quality of work is there and I fundamentally trust the recommendations made for repairs. I still have it explained as I would with any company but I don't worry about being scammed. read more

We had a broken drain pipe and received some really strange and expensive recommendations from other plumbers and a friend told us about Tim...he was responsive and when he came out was very concise about what needed to be done and gave us confidence in his review...said it might be a couple of days but called back and sent his team out within a couple of hours...Tims technician Sam did an amazing job and we are good to go without a big bunch of B$ that we got from the other plumbers...recommend Tim and Team highly! Tim and his crew were lifesavers. We had a huge leak and they came very quickly. They found the hole under the house within a day and plugged. They were all very friendly and helpful even showing my curious son what they were doing. They even came right back when we ran into unrelated problems with our water heater right after they left. Highly recommend! read more

if i could give more than 5 stars i would!!! I was beside myself with a plumbing issue at 4pm on a Saturday expecting to wait until Monday or Tuesday to resolve the issue and the kitchen a disaster area. They talked me through my issue and how to fix it over the phone. no need to come out, problem solved. I owe Hills Plumbing big time! Honest people, you cannot ask for better. read more

I had a plumbing emergency at my home. Not having a go-to outfit I called Gary Somerville at Allied Coastal Building, a tried and true tradesman, who referred me to Tim Hillis. Within a couple of hours Hillis Plumbing dispatched Sam, who quickly located and expertly repaired a pinhole leak behind the ceiling drywall on my second floor. My wife was astonished when she was given the invoice, which was FAR LESS than anticipated, and paid over invoice because of the quick and expert repair and the thorough cleanup by Sam. This company is a local jewel. I give it a top endorsement and will trust it with all of my future plumbing needs. read more

Willis and team are extremely responsive. They were able to schedule me with same day service, arrived on-time, and changed out two angle stops. I highly recommend them and will use them again. read more

Run, run, run...and run fast! Do not pass go! Like an idiot, I paid Tim Hillis before the work was done and then he quit after 3 weeks telling me that he 'busted his butt' trying to fix it and just couldn't. I asked for my money back since he didn't complete the work and he refused. He then told me to 'stop harassing' him or he would contact the police department. Tim Hillis caused so much damage that I had to hire another plumber to not only fix the work he didn't complete but to also fix the damage he caused. I have filed a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. Like, V F, the behavior was so incredibly unprofessional, not only by taking my money without completing the work but a lot of cussing along the way. He seemed to be incredibly frustrated about not being able to fix the issue that he started -- taking it out on me, yelling that this was the worse plumbing problem he had ever seen and was over it, that he doesn't need the money because he makes over $300K a year, and doesn't need headaches like this! Listen, if you don't want the job and you're not capable of fixing it, do yourself and your customers a favor and don't take it! read more

Tim Hillis is fantastic--knowledgeable, super nice, honest and reasonably priced. We had a plumbing emergency caused by the negligence of another plumbing company right before we were supposed to go out of town. It was a Friday night and I frantically called multiple plumbers for help. Tim got back to me quickly and came out to fix things the next morning. He hydrojetted our outdoor area drain and replaced a section of pipe. There was supposed to be a big rain storm when we were gone and even though he assured me that the drain was completely repaired, I was still worried since we would not be home to make sure it was functioning properly during the big storm. So while we were out of town, Tim came by our house both days of the storm to check that the drain was functioning perfectly and texted me to let me know everything was fine. It was incredibly kind and such a huge relief and it allowed us to enjoy our trip without worry. I can't recommend him highly enough! read more

Tim was awesome. Our sink disposal stopped working and he was able to get here right away. He was very quick and efficient with this work. Would definitely recommend. read more

Great work, thorough, fairly priced (and less expensive than all other quotes I got). I called Tim after another plumber canceled last minute. All the other places quoted me a minimum of $125 to snake a slow kitchen sink, with most saying it would depend on whether the p trap had to be taken out or whether it was a Sunday job, and some claiming they couldn't give me an estimate until the tech was on-site. Some places started at $185. Tim quoted me $90 regardless of Sunday or p trap, which he stuck to even when he had to snake it a couple times to clear the clog. He showed up 90 minutes after I called him and did a great job. I'll be recommending him to friends (and to my landlord). read more

Tim is an awesome plumber. He is friendly, he works quickly and knows his stuff. He snaked out my tub/toilet for 40 feet and now everything is as it should be. He came, he assessed, he fixed. Great job. read more

These guys are awesome! I called and Tim showed up less than 30 minutes later to snake our sewer line and run a scope down the line to see what was going on. He was knowledgeable and super efficient. The prices are also very reasonable. I'll definitely be calling them in the future. read more

I am not a Hillis Plumbing customer, they actually could not help me the backed up toilet at our office, but they did come and try to snake the drain. They attempted to service and when they could not they said no charge and told me what to ask for with another plumbing service. They stopped by the office on the way to another scheduled call, they were so friendly and kind enough to pop on by to try to help out. read more

I was told that replacing my shower faucet would resolve the high squeaky sound whenever I turned it on, so I called Hillis 2 weeks ago because of the 5 star Yelp rating. They told me they cant come out until a week later, and since my issue wasnt an urgent one, I went ahead and took that appointment. I made arrangements so I could stay home for the scheduled appointment. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up and no one called. So I called Hillis and they said they had an emergency, so we scheduled another appointment for the following day. Again I made arrangements for the appointment, and again, no show and no phone calls. This time there was only voice message when I called them, and I decided I dont want to do business with Hillis any longer. Perhaps they felt the job would be too small for them to come out, but it was totally unprofessional to set up any appointment that they never intended to fulfull. Originally I was thinking that if Hillis did a good job, I would also have them replace my water heater since it was over 10 years old and seemed to have more and more difficulty heating water, as I have been needing to turn the heat setting higher and higher, even annual maintenance in the past 2 years stopped resolving the issue. But I would rather give my business to people who are more reliable and trustworthy than Hillis. read more

Tim Hillis and his crew were simply fantastic to work with. Very responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient. Our under ground (under concrete) water line ruptured over night. Luckily we knew how to turn it off at the main valve. Our usual plumber could not help as he had a family emergency but Tim and his crew answered the call on very short notice and returned water to us by the next afternoon, then returned on Saturday morning to finish the job. Very neat, very clean and took great care to cut the lawn sod carefully and return it precisely to grow over very well. They are all quite personable to boot! Thank you for the excellent service, Tim. read more
