I had the receipt and the credit card associated with the purchase and they refused to give me my money back unless I produced a driver's license. The purchase was made only a couple of days prior and the return was unopened and as new. I've been a customer at Home Depot for 30 years and have done business right across Canada. This is the first and only time that this has happened to me. I was planning to buy a couple of garden doors worth about 2k a piece while I was there. I left and will never return to that location. The GM of this store should be fired for just cause. A great way to shrink revenues is to treat large customers poorly.

It was clear from the receipt. She then says "I can't return anything with a date back to March 1". It makes no sense. It was WITHIN 90 days. We pointed this out more than once until she rudely said "fine *eyeroll* I guess I can return it". There was no "Oh, my mistake sir, you were correct, that's within 90 days, absolutely We can return it, I am so sorry!". Unacceptable treatment, we were perfectly polite to her. The appliance staff were kind, however they did take quite a long time to fetch our (relatively small) items, seemingly the result of poor store organization. I get the sense this place is poorly managed and staff are poorly trained or poorly motivated.

The air fryer that was on sale was a bit too big. It looks like it would take up too much counter space and my place doesn't have much counter space. I did end up getting the Brita water filter. It was on sale 10 to 20% off the regular price. I bought the space saver 6 cups water filter for $21. The return policy isn't the best at Canadian tire. I opened it and there was a defect and I can't bring it back. Canadian tire has a policy about not taking any opened items back. So I had to deal with the manufacturer now. oh well. The manufacturer was willing to replace it. The store is located on the second floor, above Urban Fare. The store isn't super big. But it has a really big selections of small appliances and household items.

This factory store sells power tools that have been reconditioned or sometimes even just items that were overstock. The prices are pretty great if you don't mind your power tool having a minor scuff or not coming in the original box. They also carry all of the accessories (brand new) and a few other things like Black and Decker and Porter Cable tools and accessories. On my first visit I was completely ignored. There were three guys behind the counter. One was briefly on the phone and another helping a customer with a repair for about the first two minutes I was in the store. I didn't get a "hello" or any sort of acknowledgement to see if I needed some help. As I had almost no clue what I was looking for I decided to snap a few pictures with my phone and go home to look things up online and compare to other stores. If this had been my only visit it would have been a two star review. After doing a little research I decided that this was the place to make the purchase. I came back with someone else who was actually going to be paying for my new toy. We looked around a little and actually found a different drill package than what we came in for. We asked the sales guy a few questions about it and for a little more info. This happened to be the last one and when we asked if there was any sort of a discount for it being the last one the sales guy immediately said "yes. No haggling, no back and forth, just a straight up "yes". At the register the guy took off 60 bucks! That was a 23% discount just because it was the last one on the shelf. The two trips were night and day. Going from completely ignored to an experience where we got lots of product information and a pretty hefty discount made a big difference. I'm giving this a 3-star average because of the bad first visit, but if I have another great visit soon when Dewalt's new batteries come out then I'll be sure to up this review in the future.

Asked if there was any warranty and they promptly stated yes. had to give name and phone number and sign the warranty claim. was happily sent on my way. Awesome service.
