I usually end up going there thinking I need one thing, only to be guided to the item I actually need. The purchase was made only a couple of days prior and the return was unopened and as new. I've been a customer at Home Depot for 30 years and have done business right across Canada. This is the first and only time that this has happened to me. I was planning to buy a couple of garden doors worth about 2k a piece while I was there. I left and will never return to that location. The GM of this store should be fired for just cause. A great way to shrink revenues is to treat large customers poorly.

We were returning…read morean item purchased a couple of months ago, and she says we couldn't return because it was past the 90 days. It was actually only around 60 days ago, not 90. It was clear from the receipt. She then says "I can't return anything with a date back to March 1". It makes no sense. It was WITHIN 90 days. We pointed this out more than once until she rudely said "fine *eyeroll* I guess I can return it". There was no "Oh, my mistake sir, you were correct, that's within 90 days, absolutely We can return it, I am so sorry!". Unacceptable treatment, we were perfectly polite to her. The appliance staff were kind, however they did take quite a long time to fetch our (relatively small) items, seemingly the result of poor store organization. I get the sense this place is poorly managed and staff are poorly trained or poorly motivated.

Bought a washing machine after they said it was in store and they could deliver it to the backyard…read more Went home and received a call telling me they couldn't actually deliver it. Went back to rent a van and get the machine, it wasn't there. Asked for a refund only to find the money wouldn't be actually returned to my Visa for 72 hours. So the lied to me twice, locked up $600 on my Visa and locked up another $600 in my bank account that went to pay the Visa. So now I can't even go buy a washing machine because of these idiots. Worst store ever, literally.

The air fryer that was on sale was a bit too big. It looks like it would take up too much counter space and my place doesn't have much counter space. I did end up getting the Brita water filter. It was on sale 10 to 20% off the regular price. I bought the space saver 6 cups water filter for $21. The return policy isn't the best at Canadian tire. I opened it and there was a defect and I can't bring it back. Canadian tire has a policy about not taking any opened items back. So I had to deal with the manufacturer now. oh well. The manufacturer was willing to replace it. The store is located on the second floor, above Urban Fare. The store isn't super big. But it has a really big selections of small appliances and household items.
