Would not recommend this business, had a 1 o'clock oil change appointment. We left our car and went to lunch, came back at 2:10 we were told to be done at two and they had not even pulled it into the bay to start the oil change. We were told it would be next. I was a customer of Hilliard automotive. They kept my car for almost 3 months. I spent $2845. They returned my car to me and never resolved the initial issue that the car was bought in for I bought the car back so that the issue could be properly fixed . The owner paid $800 to assist me with resolution. I received a diagnostic report when I picked it up saying that everything was fine I took the car on the highway three days after picking up my car my transmission has totally been out. They refused to assist me. The manager was horrible. She had a bad attitude and a big liar. They deserve to be closed because they do not honor their customers and then they do not bring value to the community with their shabby Work. Not only was the manager a big liar. She went to another dealership that I was gonna have fix my car that she had been let go at. And gave out information concerning my business. they deserve a 0 rating read more

Professional and prompt. I had to have my van towed to them with a flat tire. They had me back on the road in less than an hour. I thought the tire repair was very reasonably priced and they did not try to tell me I needed to replace it. read more

After running into car problems as I was passing through from out of town, Greg went above and beyond to determine the cause of the problems, repair it swiftly, and even provide helpful communication for my mechanic back home. He was extremely kind, reasonable, concerned for my safety and my vehicle, and I was so grateful for the experience that I'm tempted to drive all the way to Springfield from Chicago for future mechanic work! Completely unprofessional service. I made an appointment for 9/4/24 @11:00 A.M. on 8/30/24. for an oil leak and spark plugs. The guy at the front desk (Larry Dukes) told me there was only one other appointment at 9:00 A.M. so no issue getting my car fixed. I dropped car off at around 10:30 A.M. They told me about 3.5 hours for work. They said they'd call me when done today. It got to be 4:00 P.M. on 9/4/24. I didn't hear from them, so I called. I was told they weren't done yet. I asked what else they have to do. I was then told nothing was done on my car. I asked why my car wasn't done. I was told issues with people. That doesn't explain why. I was also told they would probably get to my car the next morning. Probably???? I went in to pick up my car. Most of the bays had a car in it. I went to the front desk trying to get answers. First the guy who made my appointment (Larry Dukes) looked at me and walked away and never came back. The other guy at the desk told me the cars in bays are disabled. I told him I made an appointment ahead of time and my car should be in first after the 9:00 A.M. appointment. I asked why I'm being told on phone people were the issue. He told me they were short on staff. I said that's fine, but I was the second appointment for the day so my car should have been second of the day not all the disabled cars in their bays. I also told him they should have called me if they couldn't get to my car. I need it for work. I asked why they didn't call and never got an answer. I told him that is very unprofessional way to conduct business and that I won't be back. He agreed and apologized. You don't treat customers like this. This was my first time at the shop and my last! So, my car still needs fixed. They would have made $811.38 from me. I paid $81.31 for diagnosis. Wasted money! They lost money and I'll be sure to let other people know of this. read more

I was in Springfield last week visiting family and working remotely. On 8-8-2022 I drove to Hy-Vee on MacArthur Blvd around 8 am to check my tires as my low tire pressure was on. I also was going to buy some groceries. Long store short, I actually had a damaged rear tire and ended up driving very slowly to Hiller Automotive. Greg Wooding was so helpful and when the tire I needed wasn't available, he called Firestone and the tire I needed was in stock over there. I stopped by last year with some battery troubles which after they poked around turned out to be nothing, and they were kind enough not to charge me since nothing needed replaced. That courtesy led me to turn to them recently when my car wasn't starting very well. They had me in within 24 hours, explained everything that needed fixed (and what could wait) and the total bill beforehand; the owner even dropped me off at home while they worked on it and picked me back up when it was done. Greg and Brett were incredibly knowledgeable and kind; as a young woman I know the stereotype of mechanics taking advantage of unknowledgeable customers, but they treated me like you'd want your mother, sister or daughter to be treated, and I feel confident in the service and work done. I will continue to use and refer people to Hiller for their mechanic needs! read more

I thought my car was "toast". Piece of metal had sheared through the engine valve cover. Took a picture of that mess to Hillers and they thought the same. But later received a call back-had researched and discovered it was a defective part. Towed my car, repaired and replaced parts for free; manufacturer reimbursed Hiller.
