They tell me they will not see her unless she has a covid test first. So I take her to get a rapid covid test and then made an appointment but they only had the following day at noon. They call a few hours later to tell me the doctor did not feel comfortable seeing her unless she had the PCR test that takes 1-3 days to get the results. What??!!! You are a doctor's office that won't see my sick kid?? Needless to say, I went in and pulled my records and now looking for a new pediatrician.

Dr. Khim was very highly rated so we gave him a try after trying out many others. He is amazing. Yes, he orders tests and will always make sure that he checks for anything that could possibly be wrong. Yes, he can get very busy at times and occasionally runs behind schedule. However, he genuinely cares for you. He is always personable and actually remembers you. He has no problems answering as many questions as you have and tries to relieve anxiety and fear. He will call you back and they will fit you into their schedule if needed without hesitation. They are reasonable in their care and suggestions but always keep your comfort and wellbeing in the forefront. My son who has autism will soon be transitioning from his pediatrician to a Family Physician and that will be Dr. Khim. He is trustworthy, personable, relatable, knowledgeable, professional and genuinely cares. Everything's else is icing on the cake.

I will admit, everyone seemed nice & friendly. Not sure if they're overbooking appts or what but I can't afford to wait like that for straightforward appts (just a physical). I had to leave and pick up my child. Hate that I wasted so much time on a day I took off from work.

He is a pleasant person - NOT adversarial at all....he seems to want to work with the patient and find solutions, not just criticize them for not taking better care of themselves. He does spend a lot of time typing into a laptop, but he is multitasking - listening and talking while he does the typing. In emergencies, he will confer on the telephone during off-hours. The office staff are unusually helpful and courteous. Wait times used to be a little long, but since he has associated his practice with MDVIP, that is no longer a problem. I am not a fan of the MDVIP service but it isn't enough of a problem to detract from an otherwise excellent practice.

Her bedside manner is great, and I think she's been reasonable and helpful with rendering care. She's also been flexible with allowing me to do some visits virtually, if practical. I read others' comments regarding other members of the practice, to which I really cannot comment. I've met with NP Hayden, and spoken several times via phone to Dr. Miller. All of whom have given practical and reasonable medical advice. The front office staff has always been pleasant and kind with me. I am a big believer in the idea that you receive what you give--kindness included (not always, but most of the time). People are just people, sometimes we have good days, and other times-- not so much. I am not saying it's ok to be rude, but it's not been my experience that any of the staff here have treated me poorly. I also think it's been a positive addition to the practice to bring on a full-time phlebotomist, which has made blood draws faster and much easier. I enjoy the convenience of not needing to be referred out to another lab for routine lab work. I am not invalidating the experience of others but wanted to offer a balanced perspective from the other end of things.

Like many guys my age, I'm not a huge fan of physicals, but Dr. Howard has a very calm and comforting voice and demeanor. Pros: Professional, compassionate and intelligent doctor, doctor communicates well…read morecons: Staff sometimes acts less than professional I went looking for a primary care doctor having just moved to baltimore in the past couple months, and I found Doctor howard. I had my first appointment with him on May 5, and I've been happy with him since then. he always listens to what I tell him, and he answers my questions completely and truthfully. He takes his time with the patient, which is really saying something in this day and age of "express service" in the medical community. he really seems to care about the well being of his patients. finally, Doctor Howard is a huge fan of people participating in their own healthcare. he will not get irritated if you do research on a condition and ask questions, seek second opinions, and otherwise choose to actively participate in your care. In fact, he will compliment you for doing it. The staff is mostly helpful as well. I don't like having blood drawn, just as an example, and the technition who drew from me on two different ocasions actually remembered that detail and described what he was going to do as he was working. The only place I will fault the staff, and it cost the place a star, is that they don't do very well with telephone calls. My first call someone answered, said "Doctor Howard's office, hold please" and slammed the phone without waiting for a response. That almost caused me to go to a different doctor, and it would have been too bad because I ended up really liking Doctor Howard. I've had similar experiences when calling, but never in person. The patient portal web site is a nice touch. From there, it is possible to pull up exam and lab results, make payments, and even send messages to the doctor. I should note here that the doctor will sometimes personally communicate with you using this tool. When he does, you're actually talking to *him*; he does not fob it off on a nurse or assistant. In summary, I highly recommend doctor Howard and his practice. Don't let the sometimes questionable behavior by the staff on the telephone run you off. They'll treat you well in person, and doctor howard himself is never anything but kind and professional.
