BEST PHO SOUP IN AUSTIN!!! I've been living here for 10…read moreyears and tucked away in the back of The Village at Westlake, is a FABULOUS PHO VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT CALLED LEE'S. I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family

Overall: 3.9/5 [delivery]…read more We always order from Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails whenever we are craving hainan chicken on UberEats. It is on the pricier side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants so it is not something we get too often. Hainan Chicken ($25): Really good and feels like a healthier option. Make sure you use all of the sauce though because that is where the flavor is. It also comes with a broth that is so good we just drank it straight. Honestly better than the pho broth. Chicken Pho with Beef Broth ($23): The shredded chicken was overcooked and the broth was just alright. The portion was generous though.

This is the third time I have come here and the food was awful. The bruschetta has gone from being an amazing array of tastes to this sad Soviet Union dish. The goat cheese was a sad amount, the salmon was sparse and salty like gefilte, the prosciutto looked grey. My crispy chicken sandwich was uninspired, cold and tasted like I was eating out of a food truck during my lunch break. My friends sandwich was Cuban and was soggy and wet and cold the meat looked gray. Last time I was here I ordered a pizza the crust was wet and soaked with grease. This is not a cheap fast food place so then the question we have to answer is why is the food served like this and what can be done to rescue this staple of the west lake hills. Please fix this. You are breaking our hearts.

After toying around with a number of selections we ended up at The Grove on Bee Caves (very close to the Yelp event). The Grove have multiple locations around town including one Cedar Park and on Spicewood Springs Road. The venue is quite beautiful on the outside patio with clear Christmas lights strung strategically through the trees. We opted for the warmth of seating inside. Interestingly, 3 of us ordered bruschetta boards, whereas one Yelp friend ordered a healthy salad (good for her!) I ordered the salmon, Italian sausage and pear with fig boards. I was only able to eat two. I also had a glass of prosecco and half of a glass my friend could not drink. A couple of friends had wine flights. Both the food and drink was very satisfying. John, our server, was pleasant and attentive. It was fun catching up while dining at The Grove.

We started with the hummus, and the vegetables that came with it were amazing!! Super fresh and actually so flavorful. Definitely not your average hummus plate. I got the steak and eggs, and the potatoes were FIRE. So garlicky and flavorful, easily my favorite part of the whole meal. I also tried the Caesar wrap which honestly wasn't my favorite, just mostly lettuce tbh. But everything else was incredible so it didn't really take away from the experience. I also tried chicken bone broth for the first time and it was so flavorful and perfect for a Sunday. The overall vibe was really bright and relaxed, perfect reset after the weekend. Loved this place so much and would definitely come back again.

Plus, there's some nice outdoor seating so you can bring your dog. I will say that the prices are more than I can justify on a regular basis, but it feels like a nice, reasonably healthy splurge. The dishes are thoughtfully composed, well seasoned, and always fresh. Avocado toast is usually a throwaway offering, but they do it right here, fully loaded with pesto, heirloom tomato, and a ton of avocado. There have been some recent changes that are a bummer though. I'm really sad that they seem to have taken the vegan chorizo and potato hash off the menu, which was simply the best brunch dish. Happy hour options are also greatly reduced, leaving very little for vegans, and I'm sorry but on what planet is $8 for pickles a good deal? I still love the place, but it's not in regular rotation.

It is located in a luxury hotel as well, which has vallet parking and other amenities. The food was good but not memorable- but Im not sure if that's because we had lunch. It was good, but not as high end as expected. To be fair the price point was also not bad, coming in under $40 per person, but still feels like a missed opportunity. The shout out was the service- it was slow so we had full attention and our server went above and beyond. It was my birthday and they even included a surprise cake :) which was absolutely delicious and if you come here you have to try the pistachio and ricotta cake! Overall had a wonderful time- top of my list for special lunch dates!

Other than that consider this place an overpriced hotel cafeteria. I'd sincerely avoid this restaurant if you have literally any other choice. For starters we ordered the salumi board. Guys: 6 slices of 3 different kinds of meat with pickles isn't a shareable dish, nor should it be on any menu ever. I was astounded that the 23$ this dish cost only earned a third of the charcuterie meats kit that costs about 7$ in HEB. The deli meats weren't that good of quality, and the sad attempt at bread or crackers were either burned or soggy from pickle juice. I'm not going to rate this dish, and whoever runs this place needs to either get rid of it or make the proportions make sense. I ordered a Sicilian sandwich and my partner ordered biscuits and gravy. My Sicilian sandwich looked like the waiter ate the other half of it. Except for the fact I received a plate full of fries and 2 sad quarters of what I imagine was a reheated sandwich. I'd give this dish a 3 out of 10, with a special note that if the sandwich was an appropriate size for the price tag I would have given it a 6. But since I only received a half of my sandwich it only gets a 3. The biscuits and gravy were passable, my partner didn't have too many complaints and gave it a 6 as well. When we sat in we planned on getting a dessert but by the end of the meal we decided to look for somewhere else. In summary: DO NOT GO HERE FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. I wouldn't come back under any circumstances, but coming for a valentines date was a huge mistake on our part. The food was equivalent to a mediocre pub at an airport with matching prices and lacking portions.

Service was one point. The food was presented to feed your eyes before tasting. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. My husband loved the fried bone in pork chop with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I had the special which was chipotle grilled shrimp on a bed of crisp potatoes with a chipotle seasoned sweet potatoes and avocado purée. It was delicious. I wish though that the avocado puree was drizzled on top of the dish instead of on the bottom. That way each bit would have a little of the creamy puree. Looking forward to visiting again.

They gave us a small scoop of pimiento cheese with 2 crackers. It's zesty and creamy and great to have an amuse-bouche before our appetizer came out. We loved the smashed guacamole with cotija cheese and pumpkin seeds ($11). The tortilla chips were so thin and perfectly roasted. So good! I ordered the Texas coast crispy fried shrimp ($22). It was perfectly cooked with lots of crunch. I think there were 8 shrimp. I loved the jalapeño tartar dipping sauce. I skipped the fries and for more black beans instead. What I should have done is gotten more slaw instead. That slaw a medley of red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots and cilantro - it was so well seasoned. Great food, amazing service, fun setting.
