I know from personal experience and having worked in this office, that the owners, dentist's (other than Dr, Acevedo) and Management are unethical and completely dishonest in their dealings. . Besides the constant, destructive backstabbing behaviors between management & Staff and management & Dentists, the quality of dental work being performed is of extremely poor quality . Most often the treatment rendered, has to be re-done repeatedly, or it failed. Additionally, the billing practices are beyond questionable, out of compliance , and in many causes are straight up fraudulent. Not only is the billing staff at Zion Dental/Platinum corporate offices inexperienced, unprofessional and incapable of submitting claims properly, but they knowingly and intentionally falsify claims in order to increase the company's KPI's, ensuring that "numbers" are met and bonuses are received. Moreover, the Corporate billing office has even had the audacity to repeatedly balance bill and harass patients for balances that were confirmed by the insurance companies as contractual write offs. If you have had any work done at this office, I would strongly urge you to call your insurance company and verify the amounts your being charges are indeed valid. Also, be cautious and again verify with your insurance any "pre payment" amounts they require from you at the time of scheduling. Furthermore. I would again strongly recommend a second or third opinion from an outside dentist for any treatment plans you are given. One of their dentists here will over diagnose treatment, while the other dentist under diagnoses treatment. It's pathetic and purely unethical practice on behalf of these Dentists, to inform their Patients that they can hold off on getting a small surface filling ( bc they don't feel like doing the work) only to shortly thereafter require a root canal and crown. Likewise and vice versa, it was common for these same Dentists to tel Patients they needed a root canal and crown, when the tooth could've been appropriately treated with just a 2 surface filling. Consequently and.sadly, the poor judgement calls of these Dentists, caused Patients to require being admitted to the ER with life threatening abscesses. All of which could've and should've been easily avoided, had the Dentist properly provided the necessary treatments in a timely manner or prescribed the appropriate antibiotics. As such traumatic and factual events began to increase, justifiably so did the Patients negative reviews. However, once the negative reviews and pictures were posted online and came to the attention of the staff and corporate office, conveniently the posts and pictures were removed. Do Not trust this office! .

He has had a sore tooth for over a month , but we had to wait for our insurance to pre-authorize the crown. We get a call today that they never got a pre-authorization. I called our insurance and they never received a prior authorization request. The dentist office said it was a technical glitch. Now, they want us to wait another 30 days or come in and have it fixed and hope the insurance covers it. During my conversation first with Jessica, the comment was made that this is a "courtesy that they do for us", but it is our responsibility to contact our insurance company for payment. I have never heard of this before for dental insurance. I asked Dr. Elkington to call when he had a moment. I just got his call and he came on very defensive from the go. I was trying to say, that my husband should not have to wait another 30 days for a crown and he said then come in. If insurance denies it, you will have to pay. I can't see why they would deny it, when his tooth is cracked. Patient care should not be about the bill and more about the pain in the tooth. I was shocked at how he was acting. I mentioned that I never was rude, when I drove down from an hour away and my appointment was cancelled, (due to an emergency in his office). His comment "well next time my worker has a stroke...I will make sure to call you first." Very unnecessary and so unprofessional.

I went back a couple weeks ago for a cleaning and the hygenist was so sweet. Unfortunately, I was having a problem with a tooth and they xrayed and I have to have it pulled. They said I went there for a cleaning in 2012. I have no recollection of this. A few years ago I called around to all the dentists in town and left information because I was having an emergency. Perhaps it was from there. Regardless I had my whole day planned around this dentist appointment which they then informed me was NOT eligible for the coupon. He ripped out the phrase, "If you were my mother, I'd insist you get a biopsy." So I did. Turns out, it was pre cancerous!! He recommended me to Dr. Cordin in St. George, who did take my insurance, and I had oral surgery last week. I'm recovering well. Turns out, the final diagnosis was high-grade dysplasia. The staff are very professional, very pleasant, and the dentist, Dr. Ben Cope, is the best dentist either of us has been to in a very long time. Dr. Cope knows his business and does what he can in his clinic and refers out for specialty services. He doesn't find problems to work on to get money as do so many other dentists. He is very professional, ethical, and most pleasant. If you decide to go to Dr. Ben Cope, you won't regret it. Enterprise may be a small town, but Dr. Cope is better than many larger town dentists!

The hygienist, Paula, said it was time for x-rays. I told her that I did not want x-rays because I have had no issues and I have other concerns as well (none of their business). She was a little huffy about that and said she would inform Dr. Banks. She came back and said he was mad I wouldn't do the x-rays. The cleaning went on as regularly scheduled and when complete she went to Dr. Banks and informed him it was time for my oral exam. Dr. Banks refused to do the oral exam and told her it was because I wouldn't take x-rays. Prior dentists have informed me that if I haven't been having issues it wasn't necessary based on my dental history. Dr Banks has always been nice but now has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. I asked the dental office to have him call me....crickets. I am the customer putting money in their overpaid pockets. This isn't the first issue I have had with this office but the others were billing issues which they took care of them because of misinformation. These people are overpaid which shows by their extravagant office.
