Anyways, the biggest turn off is the fact that they only accept cash (if you're with a family, you can easily spend more than 100 bucks. So who in the world carries this much cash??!). They have an ATM machine for your 'convenience.' The second time we came here, the ATM machine didn't have enough cash in the machine and we had to go outside and retrieve it elsewhere. As for the bowling experience, it's ok. They have these modern TVs that do some goofy animations with your faces, which is funny and entertaining. I remember the first time we came here with my parents (who were bowling for the first time), we requested for a bumpers just to give my folks a better chance to score. The guy (owner?) was giving us a hard time about it and gave us faces. Ok sure, we understand it's for kids, but what's so wrong if it's for a first time bowler???! How hard would it be to put up a bumper anyway?! I found his reaction quite offensive. He eventually allowed the bumper to be on for only my sister's turn (since she was a minor in the group). I've been to other bowling places and never had a problem. The food, while still expensive, taste pretty good. I remember the fries tasting fresh and warm. I usually just come to this place when we have last minute bowling plans but I'd try and look elsewhere.

For a Saturday there were only a handful of people and there were only a few workers at each platform. Coincidentally not the ones we were at. My boyfriend and his mother were both given the wrong harness size which led to a very uncomfortable experience for them. Mainly my issues with this place is no one was there. At times we were screaming asking for help for the people in front and behind us. It's really scary how deserted it felt. Other major issue, gloves were not required? What? I used to work at a zip line place and much of what I saw upset me. I would look elsewhere when considering trying something like this.

The staff is really friendly and helpful, and the course is actually a lot more challenging than I expected. I have a couple of recommendations for anyone planning to go: I did not do the zip line as an add on, and I really don't think it's necessary; the classic course has six or seven zip lines, and they are all higher than the big one. I wished I had my old weight lifting gym gloves. You're holding on to things for dear life pretty much the whole time, and gym gloves would have counteracted the stress sweat on my palms, and also prevented the callouses I developed. Leave as much as you can in your car, as lockers are $5. I threw my backpack behind one of the container closets where you gear up and it was fine, but it would have been less stressful to have left it in my car. I think this is worth trying if you're not afraid of heights and looking for an unusual workout and adrenaline rush.

I just wanted to set the record straight because I have had business owners in the past message me all upset and whatnot. If you've never taken archery lessons before, swing through...this place was A-OK. I thought I was going to have to add the listing to Yelp, but someone did 9 hours prior...small world. And they also used a Groupon. I was originally going to go to the Staten Island based Groupon archery offering since it was 1/2 as much, but since I would have had to pay the toll to get to S.I, I figured it evened out. For 30 minutes, me and the one other guy taking the intro course learned about the methods and safety of archery. And then we put arrows into things for a little under an hour. We got about 4 rounds in I believe and were alternating on the 4 target course (narrow room on the second floor of some building) with a family of 4 who were obviously members and obviously practiced...they were on some Katniss and Legolas type ish. I feel confident picking up a bow and arrow now. Learned a lot from Q and Tyler. Q provided the archery lecture and it felt like a James Bond movie...you know when Q explains the gadgets to Bond. Except our Q was a woman. With a 99.9% safety rating. Ask her where that .1% went. I went to the 12 PM lesson on a weekday and I think the preceding lessons were packed or so I overheard. So I'm glad I chose the first lesson. It's why I chose the first lesson. Next up, fencing! And then ninjitsu.

We were…read morea large group (at least 20), and the instructors did a nice job staggering our group with safety instructions and prep while a set of tots were taking aim at the targets. Overall, it was a cool experience. We were buddied up and I paired with my friend, who immediately pigeonholed himself as troublemaker/class clown. He got some special attention from the staff and I received a couple of demerits for not following instructions (I'm oblivious, not insubordinate). Yes, friends, I had two of my arrows removed from my quiver at one point, but I couldn't really blame them as I had ample warning. Once I earned my way back into good standing, the arrows were returned. Shooting was fun and pretty straightforward after a few tries. My only criticism is that they should spend a little less time on the prep and let us loose sooner with the bows (time flies pretty quickly when you're shooting arrows). But I get why they over-prepare with the safety lessons.

For some of us who may never brave falling through the skies, this is the closest thing to feeling…read moreas if we're free-falling. We came in a group and lucked out on having Andy, who is the ultimate real-life daredevil--the kind you can imagine to skydive in his sleep, as our instructor. Thank god he made sure the safety measures were drilled in our heads because I would probably shoot straight up to the roof the moment I step into the vent. Our group had people of all shapes and sizes, and he was extremely patient with us and most importantly, made sure we had fun. I wouldn't come without a group or deal since each flight lasts only 60 seconds and the first half of that time, you'll be spending trying to adjust yourself and not get carried away--literally. But it's a great foundational (and I use that lightly) course to get a feel of whether being among the clouds is in the cards or not.

His session was about 1.5-2 hours, joined by another group of stranger party. He said the instructor was great. They gave you a certificate of completion after. No concession stand but vending machines are available. $1.5 for a can of soda which is very reasonable. Parking can be a problem. The street outside was ' no parking anytime'. They do send you an email ahead to remind you about parking situation. A nearby parking garage ( 7 min walk) will validate your ticket and you only have to pay $10 for unlimited parking on that day. But that's really nothing to walk around there. The only choice for waiting parents is to wait on site. They will also email video and photo after the session. Free download of the sample videos. If you want high definition, then you have to pay. Parents were also allowed to take pictures during flight experience.

For food, our lane ordered wings, mozzarella sticks, curly fries, chicken tenders and chicken quesdillas. The food was hot and was overall decent. I wish I could have tried some of the drinks also but next time. The football game was on during the event too which was perfect. Although this bowling alley is about 45 minutes away from Brooklyn, it's worth the distance. I had a good time here overall.
