The waves were rolling in high and hard with today's high tide...this beach is great for the surfers, wave watchers, and beach walkers. Love the roar of these awesome waves.

    Loving this beach!

This is why Florida is cool. You could be driving and see a parking lot to a small and secluded beach. Best of all, parking is *free*! Maybe Florida has all beaches free, in New York you have to have a sticker or pay for parking. Finding a free spot makes me a giddy tourist. Giddy I said! A nice clean, quite public beach with an area for bathrooms. Fan!

5 Stars for my current (not-so-secret-anymore) favorite chill beach spot. Despite my recent affinity for the modern "crop top," I'm past the stage where my ideal beach-day includes Jell-O shots and loud music (Dang kids! ~grumpy old Andi). This is more my [geriatric] speed. It's essentially a beach entrance with a parking lot (limited but never full), outdoor shower, and actual, real bathrooms. It's silly how much flushable toilets make me giddy... And yet considering the smell of a typical Porto Potty on a hot day it's not so silly. The real highlight though is once you walk over the bridge to see the beautiful ocean and near-empty beach. This is a surfing favorite so expect to see tanned folks riding some waves. Other than that you may see a few families, as the fact that there aren't any beachside bars really helps keep it calm and clean. Overall, this is a great beach for creeping on surfers and relaxing. Looking for a rowdier beach with bars and music? Drive 10 minutes North and check out Cocoa Beach.

A very nice place to go to the beach This is a beach park located at the intersection of A1A and Shearwater Parkway. There is a stoplight at this intersection so getting in and out in any direction is not difficult. There are 20-30 parking spots in the parking lot for this beach park. Parking can fill up quickly during the day so I would suggest going early. This is NOT a dog beach. There is one of those south by Eau Gallie. There is a building next to the parking lot with bathrooms and there is an outdoor shower and foot wash right off the beach walkway. The walkway is relatively short and has a ramp for an entrance right onto the beach. The low and high tide seemed to be about 70-50 feet, respectively, from the boardwalk. It seems a good place for surfing or paddleboard surfing as we saw several people doing both in the surf on the day we visited. As an added bonus to this beach park, there is a boardwalk that goes from the parking lot, over the dunes to the south, and comes out on the sidewalk on the East side of A1A. Overall, a very nice beach park to visit the beach in the area. Full disclosure, In 2017 a woman was assaulted at this park. The city has since bought and installed camera(s) that are monitored. Be safe and enjoy.

    On a clear breezy day...

Great beach for taking a walk, sunrise or sunset. Not too crowded for those who prefer a more quiet experience.

My favorite beach and a favorite for several locals. No life guards but also no questionable people. Lots of security

This beach is accessible & near to eateries, a CVS & small beach shops in case you forgot something, it comes in handy, since we forgot to get water. The water blue and wonderful. We loved that it was not packed & that everyone was being cognizant of keeping their distance. We had an AMAZING time. We sunbathed for hours, listened to music, took in the view, the sun and slight breeze, undisturbed. Before we left, we planned our next visit. Great way to spend my mother's day.

While visiting Florida I just wanted to go spend a few minutes looking at the ocean and smell the air. This beach access is free and there is bathrooms too which makes it nice if you need to change for the beach. A nice boardwalk up to a deck area with a couple of picnic tables if you wanted to come eat and enjoy the beach view. It's under cover too which made it nice for my Mom who can't be in the sun long. This is a nice spot if your looking to sit off the beach. The only down fall was a "bum" sleeping on one of the picnic tables. That made it a bit uncomfortable while sitting there. A great spot for photos. I would for sure go back and get my ocean fix here. Plenty of parking.

The history of this stretch of coastline is especially interesting. Following the Civil War, the area became home to a settlement of newly freed slaves seeking to build new lives. However, a devastating hurricane in 1885 discouraged further development. During World War II, the beach served as part of a military coastal patrol zone, and by the 1960s it had gained popularity as a local surfing destination. Today, Tables Beach provides a peaceful alternative to the areas busier beaches. Visitors can enjoy a quiet, uncrowded shoreline along with amenities, including restrooms, outdoor showers, a picnic pavilion, a wooden boardwalk leading to the beach, and a sand volleyball court. Note that there are no lifeguards on duty. While parking is free, it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays.

This means less steps to take loaded with a cooler, a tent, a beach bag, a chair, a beach ball and your kid in tow. But take note there's limited "FREE" parking. Now for the beach...they're as Cocoa Beach in look, feel as it is compared to Alan Shepard & Lori Wilson.

Satellite Beach is a small coastal city on a barrier island in Brevard County, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River. Pineda Beach takes its name from the original mainland village of Pineda, which was established in the 1890s. The town was located a few miles inland along the Florida East Coast Railway near present-day Suntree. Developers E.C. and Anna Dearborn surveyed and subdivided the community in November 1894, making it one of the earliest settlements in this part of Brevard County. The area's military history is equally significant. What is now Patrick Space Force Base began as Naval Air Station Banana River in 1939, serving as an anti-submarine patrol and training base. During World War II, this stretch of coastline was actively monitored to protect against German U-boats operating off the Atlantic coast. In the 1970s, Brevard County completed the four-lane Pineda Causeway (State Road 404), which spans the Indian River and Banana River. The causeway provides direct access to the barrier islands, Patrick Space Force Base, and the surrounding beaches, making Pineda Beach much more accessible. Today, Pineda Beach is known for its uncrowded wide, white sand shoreline and typically calm surf. Amenities include free parking with approximately 35 spaces, an outdoor rinse shower, a covered picnic pavilion with a table, and a boardwalk that crosses the dunes through native coastal vegetation before reaching the beach. There is no lifeguard on duty, so visitors should swim at their own risk. A life ring is available for emergencies. If the parking lot is full, don't worry because there are several other public beach access points just a short drive up or down the coast.
