The entrance has a ton of restaurants and bars lined up. The beach always has a decent crowd and I have only seen it pretty calm with the waves. There is plenty to do nearby and they do have a few events on the beach, but I haven't attended any.

This was our first time visiting this beach yet alone visiting this area of Florida. It's more quaint and quiet compared to other beaches which is nice. It's a pretty big stretch with nice sands and it's nice and clean. We found a spot just off the main entrance where shops and bars were. Same as a lot of the beaches, they have lounges and chair for rent. Water was nice, not crazy wild which is great for actually going in. But it was a pretty gloomy day with light sprinkle throughout the day. Overall, the sand was nice to the touch. Pretty massive and not crowded which also nice.

There's a dog friendly section of Cocoa Beach between S 4th Street and S 16th Street. Our dog had such a good time. There were so many friendly dogs and people. Some dogs were off their leash. I feel like I read some rules about dogs are supposed to be on a leash and the leash isn't supposed to be over 10 feet. There are limited hours for dogs so check the website for updates. When we were there 4/22/23 it was 6-10am then resumed around 5pm. We were just there for about an hour in the morning. Our dog was so wore out just from walking.

This is a beautiful beach to visit in the early morning where there are very few people and you can watch a gorgeous sunrise. There was even a surfing competition happening when I visited Saturday morning. It's a nice spot for birdwatching, and there is free parking at the Lori Wilson dog park which is only a few blocks away from many restaurants. I can't imagine going in the afternoon heat with the crowds.

Always a good day or evening for the beach, we didn't get here until 5 PM-ish and we're still able to get into the water as it was still warm, well you have to kind of into your way in until it becomes warm again. Got a good workout on the sand and in the water. We were able to witness a wedding on the beach. And now we're watching the sunset.

Gorgeous. Plenty of shops nearby, decent parking, and not too crowded this time of year. Easy drive just an hour from Orlando International Airport (MCO) and just minutes from Kennedy Space Center / Cape Canaveral.

Came for a day visit but tourist beware, the price of chairs and umbrellas were way more expensive than the gulf coast beach Clearwater. The beach itself had litter strewn around (bottle caps and cigarettes) here and there. Seemed to be more commercialized than the gulf. East coast beaches tend to look similar from Jersey shore down. The difference is the maintenance and water temp. All in all, it was a relaxing day and we caught some rays.

We stopped both by the pier and simply further out at Cocoa Beach which is a bit away from all the hustle and bustle.

This is my go to spot to park at when visiting Cocoa Beach! There is plenty of parking and the best…read morepart about it is that it is FREE. I enjoy watching sunrises and this parking lot is open all the time to be able to park super early and walk out to the beach. There were so many bunnies running around in the early hours so there must be quite a bit of burrows nearby. The park/parking lot area seemed to be well kept. Everything looked clean with no trash thrown about. The trash cans were empty and not overflowing. There is a decent shower out front. Bathrooms were located nearby, however I did not go in them so I cannot speak on them or their cleanliness. The beach boardwalk was nice. The wood was in good shape and provided a nice stroll out to the sand. The beach was clean and beautiful. We had the most amazing morning here watching the sunrise and got beautiful photos. While we were there a photographer was getting shots of someone and I know they came out great because the backdrop was perfect. There is a Hilton next door with a restaurant inside so if you wish to walk over for a bite to eat, its only a few minute walk.

A very nice park, A neat history and nice boardwalks to an iconic beach…read moreI have driven by this location for years and never stopped in until the recent air show. It was very nice for several different reasons. It is often called "I dream of Jeannie Park" and several events like certain long runs start and end at this iconic location. The real name is Lori Wilson State Park named after Senator Lori WIlson. After the 1960's TV show about Jeannie and the astronaut, locals started calling it the nickname. In 1996 the city named the street leading to it "I Dream of Jeannie Lane". There are a few paved parking spots and a large grass field that serves as a larger lot. For the airshow, the paved part had the tents selling items and the grass lot was for parking. There were 2 lots, a north lot and a south lot. From the north lot, there were 2 entrances to the beach. One led to a boardwalk through the hammock (trees) that has informational signs along the shaded walkway. Then you walk along the boardwalk that overlooks the sand dunes and has shaded seating areas. The boardwalks lead to sandy beach entrances. There are restrooms between the boardwalk and the south parking lot. There was a good area between the dunes and the waterline. It was a very nice park and I plan to visit again

Our stay at Beach Island Resort was excellent from beginning to end…read more The resort is located directly on the beach in Cocoa Beach, which made it easy to enjoy the ocean throughout the day. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and it felt much more like a beach cottage or apartment than a traditional hotel room. The space included a full kitchen, a comfortable living area, and separate bedrooms and bathrooms, which made it ideal for relaxing and spreading out. The property was quiet, clean, and well maintained. Having a full kitchen and multiple bedrooms made the stay especially convenient and comfortable, and it worked perfectly for our group. Penny, who manages the resort, was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly, responsive, and clearly takes pride in the property. Her attention and professionalism really stood out and added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a beachfront hotel in Cocoa Beach with two-bedroom accommodations, full kitchens, and a more laid-back feel than large resorts, this is a great option. It's a wonderful choice for families or anyone wanting more space right on the beach. We would definitely stay here again. -- Charlie I.

They have a fully equipped BBQ area, with a large patio, tables, chairs, and all the grilling accessories you could need! They have a picnic/lounge area with an ocean view! I can honestly say that the resort goes above and beyond to add so many thoughtful touches like menus for all the local eateries, books, games, and a beautiful breeze way with a beautiful and comfy seating area. It has a heated private pool, a private hot tub, and direct private beach access. Plus, every beach amenity you could need! Penny, is the on-site manager, is available 24/7 and was always ready to help in anyway she could and answer any questions we had!
