Shell Street comes off A1A and has an upside-down "L"-shape when viewed from above with 2 small parking lots. The one at the top of the "L" has 12 parking spots and 1 handicap parking space. The other parking area that is directly in front of the beach has 6 regular parking spots with 1 handicap spot. Please be aware that if you park here you must pay. There is a sign in front of the lots that has the number or QR code to allow you to take care of it electronically. The cost is $2.50 per hour at this lot. There is a covered pavilion at the corner of the "L" with a table and benches. Between the 2 parking lots, there is a building with bathrooms and a small water and foot shower. At the bottom of the "L" and south of both lots is the beach access. The beach is a few short steps over the dunes. Please do not step on the dunes. You will usually find a lot of shells that have washed up here. It is a nice flat beach and provides a beautiful view from either the parking lot or the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. The room we were finally given was the worst room in the hotel. I guess they determine which room to give you based on what site you book with - totally unfair. We stayed here before (mad my husband booked here again after our last bad experience) and we were given a better room because we booked on their site. Their site's prices are so much more, but we are given free parking. The front desk girl Nikki is rude and butts into any conversation that you're having with the other front desk workers. She lied to us stating that they have never given free parking to AAA members (that's funny because we have always received free parking). Their drink prices are ridiculous! This hotel is not worth the price.

I came here for my friends wedding and it is truly an ideal spot for a small-scale wedding with a…read morebeach theme. It's basically right on satellite beach short of a few yards. The building is adorable with a deck on the back that has a lovely beach view and us a great location for wedding pictures. There isn't much space though so having a caterer that works outside may be ideal as my friend did for her wedding. It has it's own private parking lot but it's not very big and some guests may have to park in the nearby beach lot. Overall, the place was cute and I'd recommend it mainly for small weddings. It could use a few renovations but that's about it.
