Same was true this week when we dropped off some items. Same 5-stars for congenial, friendly, polite attendant, Maria who served us. By the end of the day I received a text indicating that our items were ready. We picked them up clean, fresh, folded, wrapped in protective plastic....and at a very reasonable price. 5 again...for sure.

Living in a hotel is tough, especially with two adults and two teenagers. After a week, our…read morelaundry had piled up and so we looked for a laundromat. Google & Yelp led us here. The normal size washers are $3.00 on normal wash with cold water (30 min cycle). The medium dryers are $1.50 to start for 30 mins. The large washers at the back are $7.00. The location is clean, it smells nice in here. There are the wheelie carts to move laundry, which I appreciate. The change machine seems to be in working order, though I didn't need to use it, there were plenty of people who were changing for quarters. There is also a Coke machine ($1.00), and a snack machine (various prices). We were here at 10:30am and most machines were in use. Everyone inside was nice and held doors for each other. There are 4 folding tables available. I put in two loads of the regular sized washers into one regular sized dryer. I put in the 6 quarters to start a 30 Minute cycle. At the end of 25 minutes, everything (including towels) was pretty much dry! I had set it on high heat, which is a normal temp setting on my home dryer, so it didn't shrink anything. I've never been to a laundromat where one 30 minute cycle was enough to dry it all! (Each quarter after that adds 5 minutes....just add them before it shuts off!)

After moving as a SENIOR DISABLED VETERAN to the neighborhood behind Joy's? Just out of the…read morehospital I had stroke issues. Waiting for my washer and dryer -trafficking laundry was murder. I went early, afternoon, evening SEVERAL DAYS. NOT OPEN. GAVE UP. One day I asked a shop owner SAME BLDG could I on rare occasion 1-3 times a month use the trash for my one small white 13 gal bag. Seeing I am evidently disabled this kind person told me, oh that's all? Don't worry sure no problem. Told him I'd pay, he said not necessary but I still offered. I went one day to the OPEN STORE around 6-8pm to ask but the line was too long~ I couldn't stand long. So I waved at the store manager I would just do it myself. (Before he had taken my bag from me to the back bless his heart and soul) Drove around back, It was very dark so the closest bin to the opposite end of store I placed a small box and not even full bag in an EMPTY dumpster. A car drove up behind me so I was nervous in the dark, it sat behind me and I got in my car as fast as I could. This man comes up to my car asking me did I have permission to put trash there, I explained, yes I had from the shop person before. He said, did you talk to Joy about it? Do you do laundry here? I answered, I tried to do laundry here but the place is never open when I come and as you can see I'm disabled so I'm not going to keep running over here I finally got my washer and dryer. But because I can't even drag a small trash can to the curb? I miss the garbage guy and I asked could I put one bag here once a week if not less and was told it's okay. I just had a stroke and I'm a disabled veteran which you can see. He immediately responded? So you're just going to come over here and dump your trash???? I said, I'm not just coming over here and dumping, I was given permission. He said well you didn't get permission from me or Joy so,... I said, "look sir. I'll give you $5 to put the bag in your trash can... I just can't get my trash out that's the problem and with my vision it's hard for me to drive at night to go farther to get my trash out." "Could you PLEASE just let me put it in your bin??You don't have any trash in there." He said no, it's the principle. I said, "sir I don't know what the principle is if I tell you I'm disabled and I'm having a hard time just need some help.".... " I don't have any help, if I did some would be taking it or putting it to the curb for me. That's why I'm telling you I'll pay you." He said, NO! I'll tell you what YOU need to know that you're not going to do this! ‍ I'm confused wtHeck? Totally God as my witness, BY NOW HE'S TURNING RED IN THE FACE, SPITTING AS HE SPEAKS and actually wobbles over to the dumpster, nearly falls into it to dig the garbage out and hand it to me. He's oddly smiling and laughing at the same time. I ask? "You really went through all of this when I told you I'd give you $5 to put it in there because I'm not well I just got out of the hospital and this is what you do?" He said smiling nastily, "It's the principle". So I retorted, "no it's not the principle... It's WHO‍ put the trash in your dumpster. I explained I have a medical condition and I'm a disabled veteran. YOU SEE I'm disabled and you do THIS? What would Jesus do??? Are you a Christian? I'm curious...??? " He didn't answer me. I asked him again, "are you a Christian??" he started saying that had nothing to do with it. I asked him the THIRD time? (Feeling some similarity from occurance in the Bible but that's just personal) He said yes I'm a Christian. I said, "So I really don't think that Jesus would do this to somebody in my condition but, okay I guess this makes you feel better about yourself. So I'm glad you do." I didn't even bother to listen to the rest of his nonsense murmering. I drove off after placing my bag and box in my car and someone else was kind enough to let me place my small bag. Thank God that I am healing. I still am not able to pull a trash can yet but I can drive during the day if I need to put my trash in a can where it's accepted. AND YES I ALWAYS ASK. If the can is separately owned I really wouldn't know that and I explained that to him as well during that conversation it's one building two cans at opposite ends. I even said if I'm wrong for thinking that, I'm sorry. Wow. Never got to meet Joy as the hours are weird. Think I saw her one day driving by. She might be a nice person as said by other patrons but I didn't get that experience because of this man who probably is her husband which is sad. Especially when her name is Joy.

The manager/ owner is always yelling at people for various reasons ie. leaving clothes in the wash…read morefor five minutes after they're finished washing, always a dirty facility, always unfriendly service and always unpleasant, save yourself the trouble and just skip this place, even if you're driving just a couple minutes down the street you'll find many laundromats with much better service and results, I'm surprised a place with such poor management like this can even afford to stay open

As another person said, this place has old equipment, ancient vending machines, no attendant on…read moreduty, and isn't in the nicest section of town. That said, it gets the job done with reasonable cost. It was the only place open on Sunday night to get my laundry done for work on Monday. It gets two starts from me for being open when no one else was.

Should only be ONE 25.00 preauthorization for using a different cart. They charged it twice. So…read more50.00 total. And their answer is "it shouldn't take from your balance ( IT DID) and it should resolve tomorrow". Which doesn't help me today because I believe I clearly said I was going to the store after washing. Now my life is on hold because these people do not know how to transact and have no concept of resolving pre authorization errors. To them, "it should resolve tomorrow" is sufficient. They do not care about your money only that they already got it. Be warned.
