Large beautiful grounds to enjoy the day and a huge parking lot. I went to an event and really enjoyed seeing this outdoor amphitheater. It had a big performance stage that was covered and a large upper wrap around area full of vendors pop up booths.

I came here for a Yelp event featuring BalletX, and overall I had a good experience. I think this venue really shines in the summer when it's hosting concerts and outdoor performances. The setting is one of its biggest strengths. Since it's farther from dense residential areas, it feels like the kind of place that can really embrace large-scale outdoor events without worrying too much about noise. The lawn area in the back is especially nice. There's a gentle hill where people can spread out blankets, have a picnic, and enjoy the show. On a nice evening, it's a great atmosphere. For ballet and classical performances specifically, I had more mixed feelings. Outdoor venues naturally don't have the same acoustics as traditional concert halls or theaters, and I found myself wishing I could hear the orchestra more clearly. The performance itself was wonderful, but you lose some of that rich resonance and echo that makes live classical music feel so immersive indoors. The venue offers the usual snacks you'd expect, including popcorn, fries, sodas, and other basics. Nothing particularly memorable, but enough if you want a quick bite during a show. The seating is pretty straightforward. Standard plastic theater-style seats that get the job done. I also appreciated the large screens and production technology. For an outdoor venue, everything felt modern and well organized, and the screens helped make sure everyone could follow along even from farther away. My biggest concern was accessibility. I noticed quite a few older guests struggling with some of the stairs and inclines while finding their seats. It made me wonder how difficult the experience might be for visitors with mobility challenges. There are accessible seating options, but depending on where you're sitting, navigating parts of the venue could be challenging. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. It's a beautiful outdoor venue with a relaxed atmosphere, great picnic space, and solid event infrastructure. I probably wouldn't choose it over a traditional theater for ballet or orchestral performances, but for concerts and summer events, I can absolutely see why people love it. One final piece of advice: bring bug spray. Trust me on that one. Also, there's like a venue tsa out front, be patient lol

This is one of the most disappointing lawn seating experiences I have ever had at an outdoor venue. The slope is very steep and the view of the stage is downright disrespectful. The sound is still great on the lawn, so I will give them that, but it's truly hard to enjoy because of how obstructed the view is. On a lighter note, the drinks are ever-so-slightly cheaper than other LiveNation venues (but the selection is very slim). The show was still a fun time overall, but this venue experience was quite disappointing.

The Mann is NOT ADA ready!! For those in a wheelchair or other equipment they want you to park a 1/2 mile from the venue on unlevel grass ride a trolley to the main entrance. THIS IS A MESS!! Once inside they have a lot of paths made uneven by unearthed unpaved grass some areas covered with particle board. The elderly amputee in a wheelchair became overwhelmed and emotional trying to find legal and legitimate ADA parking. Navigating through this was exhausting and dangerous some others fell and tripping along the way. The workers gave conflicting directions, young people who could not or did not give clear instructions. IN CUSTOMER SERVICE COMMUNICATION SKILLS SHOULD BE REQUIRED!!! There's more but I don't think anyone here cares!

I have to say that this place is gorgeous. It's perched up on a hill and you can see the skyline. There is a lack of ADA compliance. There is also a lot of disorganization in regard to the staff and who knows what. The prices are also really high for stadium food. There are trolleys that will drive you up to the center from the parking lot and they also have a Mann center loop bus that takes you back to center city. Overall if you are able bodied person that can afford two $$ food it's a pretty good place.

By far one of my favorite venues to see a concert! The inside of the venue is great - not a bad seat in the house, even the lawn (highly recommended buying chair rentals in advance). Gorgeous view of the skyline and they have some great shows come through! Shows always look and sound great. Most recently i saw Hilary Duff but I've probably been 10+ times in the past few years. The outside of the venue is the downside, the parking situation is one of the worst I've ever seen- they used to not charge so I could justify chaotic free for all parking in the grass but at $30 getting both in and out were horrible, they were directing cars from like 6 directions to the same parking spot and on the way out there is no clear flow or direction- if you are changing you've got to get it under control a bit more! Next time I will likely uber or get a ride. Still a great venue and always fun. The Skyline lounge is also a great add on, a nice less crowded place to sit and get drinks before or during the show.

Came to Philly for the weekend to see The rapper NAS with the entire orchestra playing his music at this venue. This was our 1st time as we came with a few friends that were familiar with this venue from previous events. Parking was in the grass as we got there a bit earlier however, parking was a nightmare getting out after concert. Please listen to me~park further away on the street and take the long walk in the beginning so you can easily get out at the end. Tip #1 They have food vendors and food trucks which we got the loaded nachos which was just ok. We purchased lawn seating as personal seats/folded chairs are not allowed. Lawn seats were reserved in advance at the time of ticket purchase for $10 each. Upon arrival you can pick up your reserved lawn seats. The weather was perfect. The screens to see the artist and sound were great. It's was a great experience. A lot of walking is required so bring comfortable shoes. Tip#2 I may consider returning at some point.

First time here and was thoroughly impressed. Jeremy and I took a friend to see the perfect circle, primus, puscifier show and had a blast. We were escorted to the entrance, never had to go through security, they never even checked to see if we had tickets. We had lawn seats, but talked to the guy in guest services to get upgraded to pavilion, where it's flatter (and thus safer) for my wheelchair. Plus the upgrade meant we would have stayed dry, if it had rained, and we could actually see the stage. We were given two folding chairs by Mike, the guy in charge of ADA seating, and never asked once about our tickets (unlike at Jiffy Lube live where you have to pretty much have them plastered to your forehead). Parking was right outside the entrance and it took very little time to exit the lot to get back on the road. I loved the accessibility of the venue. Family bathroom is in guest services, and was clean and large enough. The fries sucked. Really. That's like the only bad thing I have to say about the place. Oh and they're a "straw free venue" which is a bit annoying for those of us who shake and rely on straws for hydration, but I clearly survived. Totally recommend.

Side view of the stage

Everything about the venue was great from the staff to the bathrooms to the actual performance. It was my first time ever seeing a concert here and I will definitely be back. Even the food was good.

Great music by Philadelphia Orchestra. Although it's hot outside, it's pretty cool in the seating area due to big ceiling fans. Going home from parking lots can be a hassle. I recommend parking near the exit

5 star experience all the way around!!! This was an experience not just a performance! The set, the dancers, the message, the sound, and lighting were so on point. The rain and lightning literally beginning outside the pavilion as the opening act started in the rainforest was almost on cue and totally coincidental but wow!!! Added the breeze, the rain, the feeling we were all sitting in the rainforest with the troupe.

What an amazing venue! We were on Vacation and had concert tickets and it was an amazing experience. Loved the water stations, good restrooms, and some decent vendor and food options. Service was great at the gates, during the venue, and departing. Such a great outdoors venue and some great views too. Would recommend attending a show or event here. We took a ride share to and from but could have easily driven as parking did not seem to be an issue. I went to guest services and was able to get a pair of earplugs which was nice.

Cynthia Erivo and the Philadelphia Orchestra

I enjoyed my first event at The Mann Center last weekend where I got to see Cynthia Erivo perform with The Philadelphia Orchestra. The venue is stunning - a beautifully situated, open-air amphitheater that feels just as inviting as it is open. Having been to handfuls of event spaces, The Mann has so many pros. I was pleasantly surprised by the free parking that is offered (as well as paid parking for those who want to park closer to the venue instead of taking a short walk up to it.) This made my fairly priced ticket an even sweeter deal, though the chaos of having to get out of the venue after was less fun. (With single roads taking you into The Mann, it's challenging to easily get out if you drive in. Be ready to practice a little patience.) Although I didn't buy concessions, I was impressed by the variety. Many people seated around me enjoyed wine, beer, popcorn, and even Rita's water ice. It was a hot day so the presence of Rita's was a huge hit! One tip - you can bring in with you a sealed/never opened 16oz water bottle. Take advantage! The seats were actually comfortable and I didn't feel like I was on top of the people next to me as I normally do at less modern theatres. This made it easy to enjoy myself. Sightlines from my seat in row LL were great, though children around me struggled to see despite the pitched seating arrangement. The ones around me resorted to sitting on their parents lap to properly see over the adults, so parents plan accordingly! The sound quality was very good overall. Because it's open air, if there's ambulances or fireworks (in our case) going off nearby, you will hear it, but the venue is very immersive. I appreciate the cool design they have to the stage that allows performers to literally walk out and between the front sections. Cynthia took advantage of this and I was envious of those who paid to be closer for the amazing shots they got! The staff working at The Mann during my visit were extremely helpful and pleasant. I really enjoyed my time and look forward to other offerings to find an excuse to come back again!

The cheese selections were unique and very tasty! Definitely a must have as an appetizer or a nosh with cocktails. For our mains, we selected the Spicy Lamb Bolognese and the Impossible Patty Melt. The lamb ragu was very flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The Impossible Patty Melt was well cooked and the star of the show was the smoky onion jam and spicy pickles. This was a perfect intro to the foodie scene in and about the University City area. The staff was warm and friendly and the overall vibe makes it easy to linger long after the meal is done.

And honestly, the restaurant itself is SO cute. Aesthetically, I adore it. It has this old European pub / rustic countryside feeling, especially with the dim lighting. There's a bar in the front and seating toward the back, and they really committed to the whole theme. Mason jars, wood details, the menu attached to a wooden board, and dog-themed decorations everywhere. It's very thoughtfully decorated and has that cozy rainy-day feeling where you just want to sit around and chat. The staff were also polite and checked on us pretty frequently. They kept our water glasses filled, which I appreciated. Food-wise, though, this is where things fell apart for me. We shared the mussels and charcuterie board, and I ordered the seafood cavatelli for myself. The mussels were easily the best thing we had. They came with a choice of red or white, which I'm assuming refers to the sauce or wine preparation, although I wasn't totally sure. Either way, the mussels themselves were really good and the broth was flavorful. The bread was perfect for soaking up all that juice. Honestly, 10/10 for the mussels. The charcuterie board was less impressive. It felt pretty sparse for the price, with the usual salami and ham but no prosciutto. Some of the other items also felt pretty basic for what I expected to be a more upscale board. There was even an egg on it, which just wasn't really my cup of tea. Nothing was necessarily bad, it just didn't feel worth the price. Then came my seafood cavatelli, and unfortunately... DAMN, it was greasy. The sauce was much more oily than creamy, and after a couple bites I already knew I wasn't going to finish it. I didn't want to leave a giant plate of food untouched at the table and look rude, so I took it home and gave it to someone else. For $31, I really didn't think it was worth it. The shrimp and scallops tasted like they came straight from the frozen section, and the tomatoes had that oily, jarred quality to them. Everything just seemed to be sitting in oil. The cavatelli itself was slightly overcooked, although I'm more forgiving of that because the shape can have a little variation in texture. But the grease was just too much. So overall, I think this is one of those places where I really want to love it because the atmosphere is fantastic, but the food just didn't justify the prices for me. The mussels were genuinely good, but that's about where my excitement stopped. I could definitely see myself coming back to sit at the bar, have a drink, and chat with friends because the space is really lovely. But if you're coming specifically for the food, I'd temper your expectations. Beautiful restaurant, lovely atmosphere, nice staff. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting or the price for me.

Looks like there are no shows coming up in May, but definitely try to scope the venue out on Mysapce to see what their cooking up for June.

The upstairs area has a chill vibe with some Mario-themed art as well as a TV. It seems that the kitchen is upstairs, so a lot of waiters were flying by out table to the staircase. Our waiter was pretty chill. Apparently an O's fan, he was excited to learn we're from Baltimore. Food was all fantastic. The style of fries isn't my preference, but they were decent. Other than that, I was blown away. Child #1 and Child #2 got some items from the Kids' menu - grilled cheese and cheeseburger. Bread and Butter appetizer. Is it expensive for just being bread and butter? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. The homemade bread is great, but combine it with honey butter with flaky salt, and it's incredible. Even if you're not a vegetarian (I'm not), you can appreciate this dish: crispy rice cake (not the dry kind from the store), tender baby bok choy, and of course the well-cooked mushrooms are tied together with black vinegar, garlic-whipped tofu (!), and a peanut sauce.
