Originally a NYC spot, Cellar Dog has found its way to Philly and boy am I glad it did! My group and I landed at Cellar Dog after Garage just down the block was at capacity for the Eagles game. We were immediately seated and they were able to accommodate a large group. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is fresh. While their menu is limited with only a few handhelds and apps, everything is delicious. For game days, they have multiple TVs across the space and get a solid crowd. Even with a full house, the staff is attentive, calm, cool and collected. We've been back a couple times since and have enjoyed every visit!

LOVED the front row pew seating. We arrived 30 minutes before happy hour and got to enjoy discounted drinks while the band warmed up. The jazz was incredible, and the venue provided perfect acoustics to hear all the way in the (very clean) bathrooms. Will visit again.

This was a very unique spot. My favorite part was how spacious it was. We had plenty of room to play pool and mingle on a Saturday night. The food was cool- you order through a touch screen. My hit dog was NOT good, it was almost like sweet? But the mozz sticks were fab and my boyfriend enjoyed the burger. The lemon drop shots were phenomenal. The live band was a lovely touch as well!

Really hard to decide whether 4 or 5 tbh. So I've been to the NYC location of Cellar dog before, very happy to see them open in Philly and a big upgrade over Howl at the Moon. It's a welcomed addition to the neighborhood and solves the pool table shortage in the area. I love playing elsewhere, like Good Dog or other nearby places, but when you really want to just lock in and play a billion games of pool it's amazing to have a table as long as you want. You can check the site but in addition to pool they have shuffleboard, Ping pong, board games and more. I got the food and found it to be really solid bar food (sloppy joe sliders and curly fries.....get me the TUMS STAT). MY ONLY not positive comment actually has to do with the Jazz. There's pretty much live jazz every night....which part of me finds that to be fun and awesome. The musicians were amazing and it does give a good vibe. But then there's a cover, it's only $5 - not the end of the world (I get it goes to the band as deserved), but sometimes I want to drink and play pool and not hear loud jazz music. Anyway, despite my petty complaining it's an awesome spot and I will be back many times lol.

Cool new spot that features live jazz from some great musicians. They have some light food options and a pretty full bar. Prices are great too. Small cover charge to enter but you get full access to vibe to the music as well as a bunch of assorted bar games. Small charge per person for pool, shuffleboard, foosball, ping pong, and some other light table games. Really great addition and good for big groups, can see this being a nice spot to add for a fun night out with friends.

Live Jazz music which you don't much see any more drink prices not to bad for the city, this bar is aspirational the best way my uncle George described it. Like really great bar food the inside was a melting pot of people specifically all age ranges. The service is great, the have pool tables, shuffle tables, ping pong and when live jazz isn't playing in they got some good music in rotation. Im coming back because its a great vibe.

Playoff football. Got this shirt outside the bar. Haha.

Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. I had an amazing…read morefirst time experience at the Filmore. It's been a long time since I've been to a concert, and what I experienced at Tash Sultana's show was unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. Drums. Guitar. Saxophone. Flute. Bells and sooo much more. Vocals that soared from whispers to powerful crescendos. Every instrument seemed like an extension of Tash, and every note felt intentional. People often say music is healing, music is therapy, music is universal. Last night, I felt that. Not just heard it--felt it. The audience wasn't there just to watch a performance. We were there to witness artistry. To share a moment of connection through rhythm, sound, and frequency. For a few hours, strangers were a community united by music/frequency. The team at the Fillmore made the experience even better. From security and "Jay" at coat/merch check, "Meghan" Guest Services, "Bob" food & beverage service (Card Only). I enjoyed my "Vegan" Burger and the refreshing Wildberry beverage in a commemorative Filmore cup. Thank you for the recommendation, Blithe. "Steve" provided kind seating assistance upstairs. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful. Those small acts of kindness matter and should be acknowledged and are very much appreciated. And to Tash--thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you for creating a space where people could simply be present, breathe, feel, and reconnect with themselves. I've traveled through a lot in life, but last night reminded me why "live music matters". Some concerts entertain you. Some concerts remind you who you are. Somewhere along the way, my son and I became known as "the cake people." If you know, you know. If you haven't experienced Tash Sultana yet, do yourself a favor: Tune in. Thank you again Filmore for hosting this memorable experience.

GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.

I am by no means an edm/house music kind of person and that's what they played on every floor but I found myself jamming and feeling free. The amount of space there now is, is awesome as you don't feel overstimulated by the crowd. The fact that there's an outdoor area for people to smoke/just get some fresh air without having to leave the venue was something I didn't think I'd love so much. Absolutely would recommend this for everyone to take their friends out for a night out One thing to note - it was ticketed to get in and was $17 but I'm not sure if this is a thing that happens often

There's not a single bumper sticker or graffito to be seen. And drinks are still 2025 cheap... I think. But the inside is just kinda all black and neon... like "hey, we're cyberpunk now." Barbary, you were already cyberpunk when you were just regular punk existing at the edge of technological apocalypse, bro. Cyberpunk is crusty and biohacky, but I don't even know if that's what you're going for. Anyway, the place is nice. It even has what looks like a little bottle service area. I think back in the 2010s Barbary, the closest thing to bottle service would have been the dancing proletariat seizing the means of drunkenness from the owners and sharing cheap tequila amongst the people. And that's what I miss the most. Did the Barbary lose the jank and lack of maintenance money that made it an institution, or am I just old? The answer is yes.

I love the fact that they kept the original signage from the bar that was here before. The inside is full of character and charm. They serve coffee and pastries during the day and natural wine at night. They also have a music venue in the back with shows happening all throughout the month. They have a huge vinyl collection and only play vinyl while you sip and enjoy. This particular day, a few folks were working remote from the cafe tables. We were on vacation and decided to drink some wine. The bartender was so friendly and allowed us to try a few really unique selections. They had natural wine from Uruguay, South Africa, and plenty of other places. The South African wines were probably some of my favorite -- sooo unique and like nothing I've tried before. They also have a small bottle shop where you can make purchases for takeaway, which we ended up doing ourselves. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone who's a fan of coffee, natural wine, or vinyl!
