Originally a NYC spot, Cellar Dog has found its way to Philly and boy am I glad it did! My group and I landed at Cellar Dog after Garage just down the block was at capacity for the Eagles game. We were immediately seated and they were able to accommodate a large group. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is fresh. While their menu is limited with only a few handhelds and apps, everything is delicious. For game days, they have multiple TVs across the space and get a solid crowd. Even with a full house, the staff is attentive, calm, cool and collected. We've been back a couple times since and have enjoyed every visit!

LOVED the front row pew seating. We arrived 30 minutes before happy hour and got to enjoy discounted drinks while the band warmed up. The jazz was incredible, and the venue provided perfect acoustics to hear all the way in the (very clean) bathrooms. Will visit again.

This was a very unique spot. My favorite part was how spacious it was. We had plenty of room to play pool and mingle on a Saturday night. The food was cool- you order through a touch screen. My hit dog was NOT good, it was almost like sweet? But the mozz sticks were fab and my boyfriend enjoyed the burger. The lemon drop shots were phenomenal. The live band was a lovely touch as well!

Really hard to decide whether 4 or 5 tbh. So I've been to the NYC location of Cellar dog before, very happy to see them open in Philly and a big upgrade over Howl at the Moon. It's a welcomed addition to the neighborhood and solves the pool table shortage in the area. I love playing elsewhere, like Good Dog or other nearby places, but when you really want to just lock in and play a billion games of pool it's amazing to have a table as long as you want. You can check the site but in addition to pool they have shuffleboard, Ping pong, board games and more. I got the food and found it to be really solid bar food (sloppy joe sliders and curly fries.....get me the TUMS STAT). MY ONLY not positive comment actually has to do with the Jazz. There's pretty much live jazz every night....which part of me finds that to be fun and awesome. The musicians were amazing and it does give a good vibe. But then there's a cover, it's only $5 - not the end of the world (I get it goes to the band as deserved), but sometimes I want to drink and play pool and not hear loud jazz music. Anyway, despite my petty complaining it's an awesome spot and I will be back many times lol.

Cool new spot that features live jazz from some great musicians. They have some light food options and a pretty full bar. Prices are great too. Small cover charge to enter but you get full access to vibe to the music as well as a bunch of assorted bar games. Small charge per person for pool, shuffleboard, foosball, ping pong, and some other light table games. Really great addition and good for big groups, can see this being a nice spot to add for a fun night out with friends.

Live Jazz music which you don't much see any more drink prices not to bad for the city, this bar is aspirational the best way my uncle George described it. Like really great bar food the inside was a melting pot of people specifically all age ranges. The service is great, the have pool tables, shuffle tables, ping pong and when live jazz isn't playing in they got some good music in rotation. Im coming back because its a great vibe.

Playoff football. Got this shirt outside the bar. Haha.

Great atmosphere, great service, love the Jazz music. I rarely review anything but this is by far one of the most chill places.

I've been to Green Room a handful of times now, ranging from before, during, and in the whatever we are calling these not quite "post" covid times. What I love about Green Room is that the most casual Saturday afternoon or Friday night can turn into the most unexpectedly fun time. I feel like every time I visit it's for a casual night with friends, but it never ends that way. This past Friday, friends and I wanted to have a very low key early Friday evening and then a few rounds of Green Tea Shots later... well you get the idea. We got to Green Room around 8 PM and it was packed because it was the nicest Friday weather-wise in a long time and that means people want to drink outside. We grabbed a table inside and ordered drinks from the bar. I'm always hesitant to get an elaborate cocktail at a neighborhood bar, but I am obsessed with the Watermelon Margarita. Yes, I did make it a double. My friends got draft beer and ciders - they have the Downeast Blackberry and they also have Guinness. There is truly something for everyone here. After about an hour we decided some food would be required. We got the Chicken Tenders and the Chesapeake Fries. The tenders are unreasonably good, such a generous portion, so many sauces. YUM! When we were deciding what to get, we thought about the Chesapeake fries and thought it might not be the right place to order something with crab... how wrong of us to judge. The fries were perfection and no one got sick. It is always a great time at Green Room! They have touchtunes, a pool table, and an ATM because it is cash only. The bathrooms are downstairs and are usually clean enough. Plenty of seating both inside and outside.

One thing that really stood out was the complimentary coat and bag check, such a nice touch and made everything feel easy and well-organized. We ordered a charcuterie board to snack on. Some parts were good, like the hummus, which was smooth and flavorful. A few of the veggies, though, seemed a little less fresh than expected, like the carrots and cucumbers, which were softer and a bit dry instead of crisp. The pita was also slightly on the dry side. It might have just been an off batch, but worth noting. Service overall was very attentive. At times, dishes and drinks were cleared a bit quickly--especially while I was in the middle of playing ping pong--but it really just reflects how prompt and on-top-of-things the staff are. On the flip side, they also help collect stray ping pong balls and keep buckets refilled, which makes the whole experience much smoother and more fun. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out with friends. You're really coming here for the ping pong and the energy, and on that front, it definitely delivers.

We came recently as paying customers on a double-date and had a great time again. If you're playing ping pong you can eat and play at the same time, but it's a little awkward because there's only so much room for your food. Overall, the food was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Well, except for the grilled Korean chicken sandwich; that was the highlight. Other dishes like the fries and the burger, per my husband-- were just simply passable. The truffle fries were much better than the ones that showed up with my sandwich, which by the way I had no idea came with the dish. So, I paid for fries twice. The ambiance is cool, very instagrammable, but it is super loud. I don't know how anyone could talk to each other. Cool if you're playing ping pong and just hanging, but don't think you're going to catch up with an old friend here. Not unless they have a more subdued experience earlier in the day. We came on a Saturday night and I had to be right up on my friend to hear her.
