The Right Ride

I don't buy cars too often but I will always bring my business here in the future! My husband and I…read moresaw an ad for a car we were interested in from The Right Ride. We test drove it and were not going to buy that day. Fully expecting to be talked into buying it and getting the whole sales pitch, we were pleasantly surprised that was not the case at all. We had such a positive experience that after we drove away we decided to come back and buy the car. Then, we had some problems come up. We were having a really difficult time with getting a bank loan and these guys were so patient and extremely helpful through this process and telling us our options (but never pressuring us to do anything). We ended up getting it all sorted out and left happy with our car. Fast forward about three weeks later, the car starts acting up. It wasn't running well and left us wondering if we were sold a lemon. We decided to call these guys and tell them about the car troubles. They told us to bring the car back to them to have it worked on so we (hesitantly) did that since they initially seemed like such honest guys that it didn't make sense that they would have purposefully sold us this dud. They made it SO right. They put 110% into determining the problem and fixing everything for us. It ended up being something very complex that took a LOT of extra work..not just lifting the hood and replacing one part. This would have cost us a fortune from the dealership and we really lucked out by using their services. These guys are not in the business of screwing people over which is so refreshing in a business with such a bad reputation for doing just that.

Amazing and easy experience. Friendly staff…read more The price was as listed online. No hidden fees. They didn't try to upscale me. Came from Texas to buy a truck and they worked with me. They offered to pick me up at the hotel the morning of the purchase. Paperwork went smoothly and staff was kind, patient, efficient, and non pushy. Worked with Paul and then Mark when Paul got busy. Would definitely recommend. Also the truck is great!

I was interested in an Infiniti G37x that they had available on their lot. I went in last Friday…read more(8/21) and was greeted by Cliff. He was very pleasant to talk with. After the test drive, I was still interested in the car but they had not done an inspection, and the warranty included in the price of the vehicle was not extensive enough for me to feel comfortable purchasing it without one. Cliff was very gracious and allowed me to have my preferred mechanic pick up and inspect the car on Monday (8/24). The inspection found a few issues and some potential issues. The immediate retail cost for me to service the vehicle "needs" was estimated at $870; with a follow on cost for new tires depending on selection, but certainly no less than $400. With this in mind we negotiated to have Antera service only the "needs" and I would pay their full asking price (which would leave me to purchase tires at some point in the future). Regrettably the manager didn't agree with these terms, and did not offer a counter, so we parted on good terms but without a deal. Today (8/28), I was contacted by Cliff (very cordially) and was told the manager had agreed to fix one of the two "needs" at the full asking price. Unfortunately I had purchased a very similar car from another dealership two days ago (8/26). If not, I would have considered this counter... ... would seem to me a missed opportunity given the delay in proposing a counter; otherwise all other elements to a car buying process were fine.

Fair Deal Auto

Loveland Auto Transport is another or newest name for Fair Deal Auto in Berthoud/Loveland. This…read morecompany scammed me on an on-line shipping site. Bid to transport my car, picked it up, kept it for weeks, refused to deliver it, tried to get more money from me to deliver it to it's destination, and then scammed me cash off me to get it off their lot. They are a company known to the Larimer County Sheriff Department in Colorado by their address and also go by the name Loveland Auto Investments/Fair Deal Auto. They operate out of several address in Loveland/Berthoud Colorado. My advice if you get entangled in this company's sticky web of scam artists is to contact the Larimer County Sheriff's department and ask them to run the address. Because they have several names, many of the officers will claim not to have heard of their business, so have dispatch run the address. Also contact the BBB. You can file a complaint on-line with the BBB in Colorado-the BBB has several (4?) previous complaints in their on-line data base under older company names. You won't get anything out of trying to deal with this company directly. It might take a while to figure out you're dealing with Fair Deal Auto because this company picks up your car under one name with what you won't know is a residential address on the bill of lading (Loveland Auto Transport), hides it at a differently named and addressed business (Fair Deal Auto is one of them), uses Uship to buffer your phone calls, uses untraceable cell phones at their location not attached to an address the sheriff's department can attach to a known business. The owner uses several names: John Pipe, Bob, etc. The woman that works in his office, is extremy horrible -Tyler. She's a social engineer, good at sounding real sweet on the phone while she's making up ways she can keep your car on the lot while she figures out how to extort more money out of you. Tyler is very good at putting you off for weeks. You need to be cautious because this is part of their scam-telling you they are shipping their car, keeping it for weeks under the pretense of shipping it, never shipping it, and then making up bogus charges for having it all that time when you finally ask for your car back. I was told several times my car was actually on the truck on it's way out of state and I couldn't pick it up. Then when they finally admitted it had never left their lot, they still charged me every day it had been out of my possession. Even for the two days early they had picked it up at their insistence before it was scheduled to ship. They've got a lot of complaints on line on many web sites, but they seem to scam people who are in the process of moving or have contracted them from out of state so they unable to come back to Colorado to sue them. One guy complained he bought a car from them, they never delivered title to after taking a down payment off of him. When he called about it Tyler and Bob said some really outrageous things to him, things that you wouldn't believe any business owner would say, like "If you'd been nicer to me, I would have given you the title." He had to return the car and never got his down payment back. It sounds crazy, but they said the same exact sort of things to me. Tyler demanded cash from us and told us if we didn't shut up she'd make us pay more. Seriously. Shut up. Another thing is...she laughed at us when we told her we would going to complain to the police. Another guy complained that the owner said "go ahead and sue me", so they seem not to have any fear of law enforcement. Another person has complained they moved her car, damaged it and didn't have the proper insurance. (A woman who had moved to Portland). Another guy said something about making sure all your ducks are in a row, all checks have cleared before you do business with these guys (Texas). But most of the complaints are about not delivering a car after accepting a bid from an on-line shipping site. So...if they don't do what they say they're going to do from the get go, your red flag should go up and do something about it immediately. PLEASE read other complaints on-line. They're pretty clever at getting business and appearing reasonable, but BEWARE. Get smart fast. Don't listen to their double talk or let them put you off. Several of the addresses this company uses include: 616 McKinley Avenue Loveland Co 2400 Lincoln Avenue Loveland Co 6503 East County Road 14 Loveland Co. 1505 Lincoln Loveland Colorado Their aliases include: Loveland Auto Investments Loveland Auto Transport Fair Deal Auto The owner's address if you need to serve him and he's being dodgy is 616 McKinley Avenue Loveland CO. BG Automotive? More like "BS" Automotive. The one star is for an oil change (since 0 stars is not…read morean option). BG Auto IS SHADY, smooth talking for sure, but A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. This is a lengthy description, but it's not half the story. To all the glowing 5 star reviewers - check your invoices. The problem started with their "courtesy inspection" accompanying the oil change, where half of their recommendations (deemed red flag "Requires Immediate Attention") ultimately turned out to be mostly unnecessary and absurdly expensive. That became apparent only after paying. My bad, of course, I obviously should have asked to see a detailed estimate prior to the work. The initial estimate did not provide parts or labor detail & appeared to indicate the work was part of a "complete tune up." Upon dropping off the truck, "Service Advisor"Jesse stated that Champion copper spark plugs had been factory installed on 2013 RAM 2500s, so that was best & what BG would install. Classic BAIT & SWITCH: BG charged $508.48 for a set of 16 plugs! When I challenged the bill, asking if "kryptonite plugs" were installed instead, Jesse indicated, no, the copper plugs were used... then he checked his computer & stated, actually no, in fact the [far] more expensive NKG iridium plugs were installed. "They're much better because they last up to 100,000 miles," he emphasized. I replied, "Great. BG just changed out NGK iridium plugs that had been in the engine already, with only 60,000 miles on them." The WORK WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Also on the bill was a "TOTAL FEES" charge of $175.77 (yes, that specific), but with ZERO DETAIL of what those fees were for or how they were calculated. Jesse couldn't provide that detail either, "It could be shop supplies, or hazardous disposal - you know, those state regulations - it could be almost anything." Note there were no hazardous materials involved with this work, such as a tire or battery disposal fee. (Google search indicates: In Colorado, shop fees are usually calculated as a percentage of the labor cost (e.g., 5-10%) and are often capped at a maximum amount (e.g., $25 to $50). Also, Colorado statute requires the repair invoice to have some kind of description of these fees, and further, "a description of each part by name and identifying number." Nowhere on the invoice was the type of plugs installed specified, either. You get NADA DETAIL from BS Automotive. Finally, while repair shops typically mark up parts 70-100% of wholesale price, BG is marking up parts in the ballpark of 100% of retail price. (If you can pry out of them the parts brand they say they'll use, you can easily verify this with a Google search at their counter.) They should be ashamed and embarrassed for what they're charging the hardworking folks of Longmont. When pressed to justify the charges, Jesse insisted they were competitive, "within 5% of other local repair shops." More BS. Comparing apples to apples (parts & labor only), the local dealership quoted over $200 less, the Loveland repair shop I've frequented in the past was over $400 less (obviously, checked after the fact...). If the handful of other shops Jesse quoted are actually within 5%, they are ripping us off too. Jesse would not budge on the final bill, but he did offer to comp me an oil change. As if! I had already told him I would never set foot in BG Automotive again. However, I would take a call from the BG Automotive (Owner) to provide the rest of the story about this pathetic BG encounter.
