I purchased a 2015 Kia Soul from Cheema Motors in August of 2023. I made it clear to the dealership that I had recently been a victim of car theft. I also let them know that I needed to be able to trust them to sell me a car that would be reliable and safe. That being said, I chose my Kia, not knowing that it was currently under recall and is the number one car for theft in Colorado. At NO time was I made aware that this was the case. My Kia was stolen on December 11, 2023, and was subsequently recovered with quite a bit of damage. I have reached out to Cheema Motors for answers to my questions and have basically been ignored. Auto insurance and repair shops are reluctant to service this make and model due to a reputation that I was unaware of. Please be careful and ask ALL the questions before you consider buying from this business. read more

If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. Easily the most unprofessional car buying experience I've ever had. After two weeks of discussing buying a used Tundra we flew in from Boise to pick up the truck. The salesmen were well aware of the date and time we were arriving for over a week. The plan was to meet us at the airport with the truck and paperwork since everything else had been discussed prior. When we landed, we were informed that the car did not have working AC, and that it would take about two hours to get fixed even though they'd had all week to ensure the car was ready to sell. After waiting for hours, the car still wasn't fixed and wasn't going to be. We had to Uber from Denver to Fort Collins (over an hour) because the salesman decided he didn't want to stick to the original plan and bring it to us. After 6 hours of wasted time and $200 worth of ubers we finally were able to get away with the truck that still didn't have working AC. At this point, we decided we'd rather fixed it ourselves than deal with the unprofessionalism any longer. Had we lived in the area and didn't fly in specifically for the truck, I would've cancelled the deal in a heartbeat. read more

My daughter's old car wasn't doing so well, and we had been searching for a replacement for several weeks. We came in to Cheema for a specific car, but found a recently listed one that we liked better. They let us look at our own pace and I never felt pressured. Mark and Ike were efficient in getting us going so that we could test drive the vehicle we liked. I did not expect to find a car so quickly during this current search, and we did not have our trade-in with us. We had to go get our trade-in. When we told them we intended to purchase the test drive vehicle, they let us us take the new one to retrieve the trade-in, so that my daughter could get a better feel test driving it a bit more. We then could not find the title on the trade-in. They let me leave a second check for the trade in difference, that they held uncashed, until I could get a new title on the old vehicle. Overall, the paperwork and transaction went smoothly. We did not need to finance and that helped quite a bit. I really was glad to work with them. As part of the purchase we got the Carfax report and a 5 day voucher to get emissions tested, so that we did not have to pay for emissions test. My daughter is very happy with her new vehicle. Regarding other reviewers, who have complained about pricing. I don't believe those buyers were aware of actual values at the time. There were 4 vehicles my daughter liked, all small hatchbacks, a Subaru Outback, a Kia Soul, a Nissan Rogue, and the Kia Sportage which we purchased. I was very aware of bluebook values at the time, since we had been searching for several weeks. Every single one of them was in the bluebook range for year and model, and mostly on the lower end of the range. The one we purchased was actually slightly below the bluebook range for Colorado, which I attributed to the higher mileage, as we found no major issues with overall condition of the car. The average mileage driven per year dropped significantly as part of covid, and the mileage on the car we purchased was slightly high, but consistent with pre-pandemic ranges. I had a great experience buying a car at Cheema. The saleswoman was very friendly and professional. I have never purchased a vehicle from a dealer so I was nervous at first but she made the process very easy and I felt good leaving the lot with my new (to me) vehicle. She was very thorough with providing up-to-date, thorough vehicle history info and was not pushy or trying to rush me into a purchase. In October of 2019, I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento from Cheema. Ray and his team were professional, efficient, and helpful. Buying a used car, I recognize that the purchase is "as is," and there are no guarantees so I opted to purchase a four year warranty (which cost almost 1/2 of what I paid for the car itself). I wasn't upset about that because I commute to work in Greeley and need to feel safe. That said, in March of 2020, I was driving to work and suddenly my engine light and all wheel drive light came on and I lost control of the gas pedal. I took it into a local Kia dealership and they estimated there were over $2,500 in repairs that needed to be done and they could not officially diagnose what happened to my car. I was merely told to fix all of those issues and see if it happened again. The reason for my my 2-star review of Cheema is because upon reaching out to the warranty company, I was told that because I didn't register the warranty within 90 days of purchasing my vehicle, they couldn't help me. Needless to say, my respect for the network Cheema associates with is subpar at best because I was stuck paying out of my own pocket and praying it resolved the issue. I will not be a repeat customer and intend to replace this vehicle as soon as I can afford to. read more

Starting with the price of the car at over $13k, The book value is just about $7,500. I understand its a dealer and they need to make money. Lets look past that part. After leaving, within a week, check engine light came on. I took it back. They fixed it, and told me what was wrong. About 800 miles later. Lights back on. I ran into another place to get it checked. Same issue. I am a one car family, I work the same hours they are open, so very hard to make it in. It has been about 5 months now. I drove in, and they wanted nothing to do with me because it was 5 months ago. I would be willing to PAY for they new part. But they seemed to just want me out of their hair, saying I should have came back sooner. Happy to deal with you when you hand them a Check for a car. But not when you have a problem. I know its a USED car. You had YOUR mechanic fix it, In which it was NOT fixed. Now the Power steering pump is going along with my dash flashing away. Mind you I have not even driven this car 3,000 miles yet. Not even due for an oil change by mileage. Can't wait to see what's in store for me in the next 3,000 miles. I went to Cheema because I got my last car there, and the guys really helped me out. But now they have different ownership/management, and they don't care about happy customers. Check around other lots before you decide on this one. read more

My son was buying his first vehicle on his own, and they helped him secure fair financing, took their time and explained the whole process to him, and made sure everything was set for us. I bought my first used car when I was quite young and desperate for a vehicle. I rushed into the first dealership I found online, alone and without even a minute of research or planning. Unsurprisingly, I went home with an unremarkable car and a staggering monthly payment. Years later, I came to Cheema Motors much better prepared but no less wary. I was surprised and delighted by Ike & Lavi's courtesy and commitment to a happy, thoughtful car buying experience. They answered my questions, allowed me ample time alone with each car I looked at, and never pushed me into making a deal. They are friendly, transparent, patient, accommodating, and obviously take pride in their business: they have all the comforts of a corporate dealership but none of the artifice. I also appreciate that theirs is a family-owned and operated small business (one of two). I highly recommend Cheema Motors--and Star of India (best Indian food locally!).
